Eyes met, entangled momentarily.
In his eyes, there seemed to be confusion, his irises a light brown, glistening under the crystal light with a trace of brilliant starlight.
Hannah thought to herself:

He was given a handsome face, such beautiful eyes, and hair that looked so soft to touch.
She had just withdrawn her gaze when she heard a soft call from behind, "Sister."
William was there.
"You've been drinking, I should take you home."
"Don't you have a social engagement?"
"Old clients, it's no bother."
William carried an air of frost, exceptionally eye-catching wherever he went. His intense presence silenced the group who were chatting merrily moments ago. They watched as he walked away before anyone dared to breathe a sigh of relief.
"Didn't Mr. Hale just go in? How come he's out again? That scared me."
"He's sending his cousin home."
