The moonlight was pale, and a night of a hundred ghosts was upon us.
Liam Hugh had been drinking, his blood raging, his eyes trembling, his heartbeat so fast it seemed about to burst from his throat.
"Han, Hannah?"
"Brother, you haven't visited me in a long time." That face, more familiar than any other.
This was the sister he had watched grow up, always smiling so gently.
But Liam Hugh was so frightened that his face went waxen white, pressing himself against the wall.
It seemed to give him some comfort.
His fingers kept touching the wall until he finally found a switch, flicking it several times to no avail – the light would not turn on.
Meanwhile, from the crack under the door, he could faintly see the green light of the emergency exit sign spilling into the room...
In these circumstances, the green was so eerie it took one's breath away.
