Chapter 8 - New system rewards

*Kenichi's POV*

That was quite unexpected, I just casually went out to grab a quick bite to eat and ended up running into characters from another anime, plus in the heat of the moment I ended up getting carried away and played along with those stupid fights over the bento, the good thing is that at least this served me well as a first fighting experience, now I know the general fighting level that other people have, it was hard to know just with the numerical value that the system gave me.

Although I have to admit that it felt quite comforting to talk to someone else about my problems, I think this is the first time I've told someone about my parents.

In fact, now that I think about it, after they died the rest of my life has been a blank… Although it's just a theory, it's possible that around that time I had started to be influenced by the world, after all, even though I adored them for some reason the news of their death didn't impact me as much as it should have…

I'm going to have to find out what exactly the will of the world is, it's very worrying that it can manipulate a person to such a degree… I just hope it's not the same as the will of humanity or Alaya as they called it in the Type-Moon universe, because if it is the same then this world is really screwed, it's true that that thing thought about the survival of humanity but it didn't care about the means. Also, another of my concerns turned out to be true, this is not just the world of To Love-Ru, apart from the characters from Bent-To I also remember seeing some characters from other animes at school, I'm even sure I saw two of them in my class, as we just entered school I still don't know all the names of my classmates, I'm going to have to investigate the entire school.

And not just at school, I'll have to check if some of the cities from other animes also exist here… I just hope there isn't a Fuyuki city, because if there is, then this world is really screwed, from what I remember from the Type-Moon stories in all of them, whether routes or alternate stories, there was always some crazy person who wanted to destroy the world… I just hope my luck isn't that bad… Well, although if you ask me, being a secondary character in an Ecchi anime is already bad enough…

It's at times like this that I'd like to be just a background character, I'd have a boring life but at least I wouldn't get involved in so much shit, and not to mention that I have the role of the protagonist's best friend, so it's more than obvious that whether I want it or not, I'm going to get involved in Rito's stupid love problems.

You don't know how much I envy you Rimuru, in my current situation, even dying stabbed and reincarnating as a Slime in a fantasy world is much better.

But leaving all that aside, I never expected Yarizui-senpai to be so cute, in the anime I saw she was quite expressionless, but now she showed me several cute expressions, honestly fighting her made all this bento fight worth it.

But even though I liked her as a person and as a woman, it's better that I don't get too involved in her story, and if you take away the bento fights it's a common comedy anime.

Now that I think about it, during the fight I got several system notifications, it's good that I deactivated the function of showing me notifications every now and then, it's quite annoying that while you're fighting or talking suddenly a transparent screen appears on your face.

Achievement System

*Notification*

*You just received several rewards for your achievements*

*Do you want to receive the rewards?*

Yes✓ No✗

Kenichi: "But of course you do, even the question offends, let's see what rewards I got now, I wonder if they were for fighting, because apart from that I don't remember having done anything special"

*You managed to have your first fight without any interruptions*

You received: Strong Shoulder

---------------------------------------------------------

*You managed to have your first fight for the bento and win*

You received: Rainbow Fruit

---------------------------------------------------------

You received: X-Gloves

---------------------------------------------------------

*You managed to defeat more than 10 people using only boxing techniques*

You received: Gourmet Cells

---------------------------------------------------------

*You managed to defeat Shaga Ayame, the secondary heroine of Ben-To, in a fight*

You received: Instinct

---------------------------------------------------------

*You managed to win a Bento fairly, earning the respect and fear of all the wolves*

You received: Haoshoku Haki

---------------------------------------------------------

*You managed to make a very good first impression on Yarizui Sen*

You received: Summon Card

---------------------------------------------------------

I said it once and I'll say it again, this system is too flexible with achievements.

And in the end it turned out to be just as I expected, I got much better rewards for defeating the main characters, and that was even though I only had a casual fight with them, I bet if I had gotten into any important event in Ben-To's story they would have given me something even more broken than this.

Kenichi: "Even though I'm dying to check them out, I'll wait until I get home, besides I'm still hungry, that bento wasn't enough to satisfy me, fortunately I bought several ingredients, this should last me for the whole weekend at least"

This is another reason why I rejected Yarizui-senpai's invitation, I didn't lie to her when I told her that I preferred the meals my mom made me, but the main reason is that just a bento doesn't satisfy me.

*1 Hour Later*

Kenichi: "Wow… Those cooking techniques from the Shokugeki no Souma anime are amazing, although I still need a lot of practice to cook at the same level as the characters in that anime, my food is already good enough to be in a five-star hotel… This is perhaps one of the most delicious meals I have ever eaten in my life… I even managed to slightly activate the culinary orgasm…"

After arriving home I quickly started cooking, I wanted to put into practice several of the cooking techniques I saw in the Shokugeki no Souma cooking knowledge, and the result surprised me. With the improvements of my body it was a piece of cake to replicate the different types of cuts, but I still had to learn to control my strength and that is why some of the ingredients did not turn out exactly the same as those I saw in the knowledge, but that did not prevent the taste of the food from being several times better than any other food I have prepared in the past.

Now that I think about it, becoming a chef is also a good way to make a living, after all, I've never heard of a culinary academy called Tōtsuki, so I might as well aim to become the best chef in this world, in fact, for some reason I've been limiting my options to writing novels or drawing manga, but with my ability to see into alternate realities I can have any profession I want and be the best at it. But for the moment I'm in no hurry, I'm still in my first year of high school, I'm going to try doing various things, until I find something I really like to do.

Kenichi: "Well, I think the long-awaited time has come to see the reward descriptions, for now I'll start in order with… Strong Shoulder…? That's a weird name, let's see the description..."

Name: Strong Shoulder

Rank: R (Rare)

Origin: Boku no Hero Academia

Description: It is a short-range emitter type Quirk, this Quirk allows the user to rotate and move their shoulders at extreme speed and power, providing incredibly fast and strong hits.

Weakness: The biggest drawback of this Quirk is that if used for very long periods of time it can cause muscle fatigue and even tearing, unless the host has a way to ignore the pain it is recommended that they use it only for a few seconds.

Kenichi: "Oh… I just got another Quirk from Boku no Hero Academia… Although more than Quirks, these are more like the powers that Marvel mutants were born with… This is quite ironic, just because a small group of people were born with powers they called them mutations but if all of humanity was born with them they called them Quirks… I guess I have to feel lucky that this world isn't mixed with Boku no Hero Academia or with Marvel and DC, otherwise I would have to get involved in all that shit of heroes and villains"

Don't get me wrong, I like hero stories, but only when they are stories, honestly those worlds are almost as bad as Type-Moon's. Anyway, this Quirk compared to others is pretty normal.

Kenichi: "My shoulders feel a little different, and I feel like I can move my arms much more easily than before… Even though it is a fairly simple Quirk compared to others, I remember that the original owner of this Quirk threw quite destructive blows, not even characters with defense-oriented Quirks could withstand his blows for long."

Out of curiosity I decided to go down to the training room and test the capabilities of this new gift, I honestly didn't expect much, after all, it's just throwing super fast and powerful punches, even in this untrained state I can do something similar.

Without further delay I started throwing a few light punches, at first everything was fine, but after a few seconds and without my control the punches began to increase in speed and strength more and more, at one point these stopped being ordinary punches, each one launched large shock waves, I can safely say that just one of these punches was enough to completely destroy a concrete wall, I stopped only when I started to feel a little pain in my arms.

Kenichi: "Okay… I admit it… I greatly underestimated this ability… I just threw more than ten punches per second and I kept throwing them continuously without decreasing my speed or my power one bit, for like forty seconds, just with this ability I think I could defeat all of Baki's characters… Well, now that I remember it, in Boku no Hero Academia it was said that the more someone used their quirk, the more it evolved, which implied that even the weakest quirk of all could become the strongest as long as its user developed it well"

I'm getting stronger and stronger and I haven't even started training… I wonder if this is how the protagonists of Isekai anime feel… Well, for now let's see the next reward… What is it… A fruit…?

Name: Rainbow Fruit

Rank: UR (Ultra Rare)

Origin: Toriko

Description: It is a legendary giant-sized fruit that can weigh between 1.5 and 2 tons. When you put it in your mouth, its flavor changes seven times. Its name is due to the shape of its juice that when evaporated in the air, emits a rainbow. The color and flavor of the fruit depends on the humidity and temperature of the air. The fruit's nectar is so concentrated that a single drop can turn an entire 25-meter pool into a huge bowl of fruit juice. It is so delicious that most animals want to eat it instinctively and try to eat it even when they eat each other.

Caution: Due to its intensity and the fact that the host's body is not yet strong enough, it is recommended not to eat too much of it, it is also important to consume it only as a dessert or as wine.

Important: Due to system improvements this rainbow fruit is improved, and will not rot no matter how much time passes.

Kenichi: "Wow… So it was a fruit from the Toriko anime… The equivalent of the Shokugeki no Souma world but with action and fantasy… From the description and what I remember from the manga and anime, this fruit is included as a dessert in the protagonist Toriko's entire menu… How I would like to go to that world, which is a place where nothing else matters but fighting and eating, it's that simple without any complicated plot"

I wonder how delicious this fruit will be, even Toriko who had already eaten a lot of food couldn't help but cry after eating just a spoonful of jelly made from the fruit, there was even a version to make it with alcohol called Rainbow Rainbow Cocktail. From what I remember, that fruit was huge, so I can't take it inside the house, but doing it outside is not an option either, I'm not a protagonist like Rito, so I bet all my neighbors are going to be very surprised if they suddenly see a giant fruit shining in my garden... I guess the only possible place is in this training room...

After saying that, I pressed the option to receive the reward, and almost instantly a light many times more intense than the previous rewards left me completely blinded.

When I finally opened my eyes I couldn't help but marvel at the fruit that appeared in front of me, although I was already expecting it to be big from the anime, but I never expected it to be that big, and on top of that its appearance left me completely captivated.

Kenichi: "I-It's beautiful… I-I bet not even the most precious diamond can compare to the shine of this fruit."

Before I knew it I was already touching the fruit which to my surprise was quite soft, which is quite illogical, from the system's description this fruit must weigh at least two tons, so I expected it to be hard like a watermelon.

While I was marveling at the fruit, I unconsciously started to drool from my mouth and also felt a great desire to eat it just as it was, but I quickly came back to my senses and decided to put it back into the system, I still don't feel mentally ready to eat it. Plus it might be dangerous if I eat it like this instead of making it into a dessert, like the jelly they made in the anime.

Kenichi: "Haa… Haa… Shit… That was dangerous, I almost felt tempted to take a bite as it was… From what I read in the description, the fruit is so concentrated that a single drop can turn a swimming pool sweet, although this world follows the logic of the anime, it may be dangerous for my body if I eat it naturally…"

Still, I envy you, in the Toriko anime they eat this type of food often, in fact in that anime there were even entire islands that were made of things to eat, there was even a ridiculous fruit that produced mayonnaise and not to mention the different types of animals and wild beasts that were thousands of times more delicious than those in this world, well I guess that's what you can expect from a world where you can get stronger by eating.

After a last sigh I continued looking at the following rewards to distract myself.

Name: X-Gloves

Rank: C (Common) / SR (Super Rare)

Origin: Katekyo Hitman Reborn

Description: In their normal state they are just wool gloves with the number 27 embroidered in red, but when the Last Will Mode is used they transform into black gloves with metal plates. They have the ability to channel the flames of the sky, when the gloves have this transformation the user gains great speed apart from the ability to fly using the fire produced by the gloves as a propellant and also the ability to use the advanced zero point and its other variants.

Important: Until the host acquires the Last Will Mode, the X-Gloves will remain as ordinary wool gloves.

When I finished reading the reward, a pair of ordinary white wool gloves with the number 27 embroidered in red appeared before me.

Kenichi: "Well, just like the description says, they're just some ordinary wool gloves. Unless I get Katekyo Hitman Reborn's Last Will Mode as a reward at some point, for now they only serve to warm my hands… It's a shame, these gloves in their final form look so cool."

Well, there's no point in complaining, for now I'm fine with just the Hanma lineage… For now let's move on to the next description…

Name: Gear

Rank: C (Common)

Origin: Megalobox

Description: Gear is a type of technology used by Megalobox boxers to improve their combat capabilities, by using it to box both the speed and strength of the host's punches will increase greatly

Important: Thanks to system modifications, this Gear does not need maintenance and even if it breaks it will replace itself.

After the usual blinding glare, a black metal device with several orange plates appeared in front of me.

Kenichi: "So, this is a Gear, I see it's the same old model that the protagonist of Megalobox had, the only difference is that mine looks brand new and his was pretty broken and worn out… Even though it looks cool and all, I don't see much use for it, in the current state of my body this thing is useless to me, even the protagonist Joe stopped using it and still won all his fights, at most it might be useful if one day I want to include the Megalobox in this world"

From what I remember from the Megalobox anime, it presented a much more realistic boxing world than Hajime no Ippo, in which most of the fights were fixed, in fact, the protagonist himself let himself lose in most of his fights to earn more money, and as if to add interest they included these devices called Gear, although the protagonist's was a much inferior model compared to the rest, the most advanced ones had a rather futuristic appearance.

Without anything else special to say about the reward, I left it with the training equipment, who knows, maybe one day it will be useful for something, but the moment I read the description of the next reward I was quite surprised.

Name: Multiversal Travel Ticket

Rank: SSR

Origin: Achievement System

Description: It is a special ticket that allows the host to travel to other worlds, the destination is random, the time that can be in those worlds is unlimited and depending on the achievements that the host can perform in those worlds it is possible to re-enter them at any time after returning to their original world

Important:

-Time will stop in the host's home world

-The host will be able to take other people to those worlds

-The host will be able to bring other people from those worlds

-The host will be able to bring to their home world anything they find in that world regardless of its value or power

Caution: It is recommended to use it only when the host's fighting level increases.

Kenichi: "Look at this, I was complaining that this world that is dominated by a mysterious will was shit, and here I see an object that can give me the opportunity to go to another world"

With curiosity I made the ticket appear, this one unlike the one for changing the plot, was black with several golden details along with a symbol in the middle, at first glance it looked like an elegant ticket from some game, but the moment I touched it I could feel that it was anything but normal, maybe it was because of the Hanma blood that ran through my veins, but I could feel a mysterious power emanating from the ticket that gave me chills.

Kenichi: "To think that this little ticket has the power to travel to other worlds."

Although it is an amazing reward, for now I think I'll follow the system's suggestion and save it for later, I'm not even strong enough to deal with Lala's father, what if I end up in a world with more powerful guys and even more ridiculous stories than To Love-Ru and Ben-To.

Kenichi: "Well, let's move on to the next reward… Huh?"

Kenichi: "…"

Okay… I think this is perhaps… One of the best rewards I've received so far.

Name: Gourmet Cells

Rank: SSR

Origin: Toriko

Description: They are specialized cells discovered and obtained from Gourmet Jellyfish by the 'Bishokushin' Acacia. The cells have excellent regeneration and the strength to improve qualities such as when implanted into the cells of another living being, improving their qualities and abilities in various ways. The host can choose only between two options to infuse the Gourmet Cells into their body, which are,

1.-Ingestion Must regularly take a pill containing Gourmet Cells

2.-Injection Consists of injecting the Gourmet Cells directly with a syringe

Defects:

-Consuming Gourmet Cells through ingestion takes a long time to take effect on the body and there are many cases in which the cells are not able to adapt and there are no physical improvements for the consumer.

-Direct injection into the body of the Gourmet Cells is the fastest method and at the same time the most dangerous, this method has many risks because if the cells do not adapt correctly they begin to invade the body and mutate it, turning the individual who is injected into a horrible monster, or worse, it can end up killing him.

Benefits:

-When the host's body is successfully adapted to Gourmet Cells, it will gain an overwhelming amount of power and life force thus giving rise to the creation of a super human being.

-Enhancements include: Extreme physical strength, speed, and overall athleticism; incredible stamina and endurance; enhanced senses; and the ability to project a terrifying aura of intimidation.

-As long as calories are available, the cells also grant incredible regenerative power. This astonishing vitality granted to a Gourmet Cell user is often reflected in their appearance, as the vast majority of users (mostly male) possess incredibly muscular physiques.

Important: The host is suggested to use them when their body is trained to its maximum capacity to increase the chances of success and also to secure several of the foods from Toriko's world or others that are equally good.

Kenichi: "It may be very inferior compared to the plot change ticket and the multiversal travel ticket, but it is definitely many times superior to the Hanma bloodline, all the characters in the Toriko anime who had the gourmet cells had practically unlimited fighting potential and became stronger with each food they ate, that is what makes Toriko's world special which is full of different types of food."

In Toriko's world, humanity is confined to a very small part of the world. The rest of the world is called the Gourmet World, and it covers about seventy percent of the planet. In that world, the power of beasts or ingredients is measured in terms of capture level. This depends on various factors, such as the strength of the beast and the danger of the environment.

Normally, in the human world, capture levels range from 1 to 100, while in the Gourmet World, the capture level can reach thousands. To give you an idea, something with a capture level of 180 can go out and destroy every country it passes by while just casually walking, while something with a capture level of 300 is far beyond the normal capabilities of the human world.

Come to think of it, I said I would like to be in that world, but when I think about it carefully, that world is much more dangerous than this one, and not to mention that there is also an organization of evil guys willing to kill to obtain the best ingredients.

Kenichi: "One of the best traits of the gourmet cells is their ability to project a terrifying aura of intimidation that manifests physically in the form of a spirit, that manifestation is known as the appetite demon, I remember that Toriko looked really cool when he projected that red Demon, in fact, now that I think about it, it's quite possible that the gourmet cells are highly compatible with Hanma blood..."

But for now there's no point in me thinking about that, while it's true that the gourmet cells are great, in the end they always require the user to consume large amounts of food, and I don't think that the simple meals of this world can satisfy them, the only way to be completely sure of using the cells is that I have several foods from Toriko's world or that I have some way to go to Toriko's world, the multiversal travel ticket is of no use to me, after all in the description it said that the world was random, so for now I'm going to have to save this and become as strong as I can with only Hanma blood as my base.

Kenichi: "Although it is a pity, but nothing is given away in this world out of pity, if I want something I have to work hard to get it"

Name: Instinct

Rank: R (Rare)

Origin: Fate/Stay Night

Description: This ability allows the host to slightly predict the future. Through this ability, it is possible to negate the restrictions inflicted by visual and auditory interference to a certain extent.

Kenichi: "Hmm... This if I'm not mistaken is one of the skills of Artoria Pendragon (Saber), one of the most famous heroines of the Type-Moon franchise... Although it looks a bit like the Danger Sensor it is a somewhat different ability, hers was based more on an instinct that alerted her about a future attack, the sensor instead is sensitive to bad intentions"

Name: Haoshoku Haki (Color of the Conqueror's Ambition)

Rank: SR

Origin: One Piece

Type:

-Intimidation

-Energy Emission (Advanced)

Description: Haoshoku Haki is a rare form of Haki that allows the user to exert their own willpower over others. This type of Haki cannot be achieved through training and only one in several million people are born with this ability. It is said that those who possess this type of Haki have the qualities to be a King, being known as conquerors or supreme rulers.

Important: In its most advanced state the user can infuse his fist or weapon with Haoshoku Haki to drastically increase its attack power.

Kenichi: "This is the real jackpot though, I'm not complaining about instinct, but you have to admit that One Piece's Haki techniques are far superior, and to top it off it's the rarest Haki of all, I still remember that epic image of Luffy making an entire army of thousands of Marines faint from the pressure of his Haoshoku Haki, or later when it was shown that attacks could also be imbued with this Haki and made them much more destructive like Luffy's grandfather Garp who without the help of any devil fruit destroyed an entire city just with the strength of his Haki"

Okay... I may be very excited, but someone can blame me, just receiving the knowledge about the One Piece manga and anime is vast enough for me to become a fan, although there are several other pretty good anime, one of my favorites is definitely One Piece, especially if I received one of the best powers in the series. Also what surprised me the most is that I have complete mastery over how to use it, unlike Luffy who had to go through several fights to be able to use it in its advanced state, although I'm not yet at the level of launching attacks as devastating as those of Gol D. Roger, Shirohige or Monckey D. Garp, I can imbue my blows with Haoshoku Haki, although from what I know it is more effective if you also have Kenbunshoku Haki.

I wonder how destructive my punches will be if I combine the strength of the Hanma blood, the maximum power of the gourmet cells, the Kenbunshoku Haki and the Haoshoku Haki, it's just a guess but if I manage to master them to their maximum power and combine them all together I should be able to at least destroy countries with just my punches, that's really quite broken, at this rate I'm becoming more and more like Saitama, I just hope I don't go bald one of these days.

Jokes aside, this Haki will serve me well if one day I fight against a large group of people who are weaker than me or who have a weak will.

Kenichi: "And finally the last reward... Now that I think about it, they gave me quite a few SSR rank rewards, apparently my guess was right, the achievements that relate to the main characters or the story of some anime franchise give much better rewards than the common achievements"

Name: Summon Card

Rank: SSR

Origin: Achievement System

Description: It is a special card that allows the host to summon a random character from any fiction (Animes, mangas, novels, etc.). The summoned character will be brought from a parallel world to the original one that was destroyed. The character will not be obliged to follow the host's orders, so it will depend on the host's skills to convince the character whether to stay in this world or return to the system storage

Important:

-As the character will be summoned randomly, it is recommended that the host use this card only when his fighting level is higher

-Thanks to the system improvements, that character will have free use of all his original skills

-The summoned character will have his own achievement sub-system only slightly lower than the host's, this will help him to become stronger

Kenichi: "A character summoning card?"

Although it is an incredible reward, like most of the previous ones, I have to use it carefully, if I could choose the character I wanted I wouldn't have any problem, but like the multiversal travel ticket, the character summoned is also random, what happens if I rush and end up summoning a lunatic or a yandere like Gasai Yuno or a deranged sadist like Esdeath… Just thinking about those crazy women makes my skin crawl.

Plus there's also the fact that they won't be forced to obey me, don't get me wrong, personally I like that, I prefer a friend I can trust than someone who follows my orders to the letter like a pawn, without their own feelings that wouldn't make me different from the will of the world.

I wanted to take a look at the card, with the usual golden glow of the other SSR rank rewards, in my hand appeared a beautiful blue card with the same sign as the multiversal travel ticket, it looked a lot like a credit card.

Like the previous ticket, this one also had some kind of mysterious power,

Kenichi: "Still, I have to admit that I'm luckier than most characters with a system, I only had a small chance encounter with the characters of an anime and that was enough for them to give me several high-ranking rewards, for the moment I have to find a way to get ingredients from the Toriko anime… The rainbow fruit was given to me for successfully obtaining a bento, so I guess I have to do achievements that have to do with food"

Unlike the Hanma lineage, gourmet cells depend heavily on the different types of food their user eats, in fact, in the Toriko anime it was never shown that the main characters did anything special as training, the most they did as training was that time they learned the honor of food, but that more than training was a way for them to use all the strength they wasted on useless movements. In that world you became stronger by eating and fighting, I also remember that there were foods so delicious that they made gourmet cells evolve.

Now that I think about it, learning the honor of food could be quite useful in the future when I assimilate gourmet cells.

Kenichi: "But well, those worries will be for the future, for now I'm going to go to sleep, tomorrow is Saturday and I don't have anything important to do, so I'm going to dedicate the whole day to training"

So with nothing else to do I went straight to bed to get my body in top shape for the day to come.
