TERESA'S P.O.V.
The mansion loomed before me as I sprinted through the double doors, my heart hammering against my ribs. Every step echoed with my fears, my mind racing back to Mai, to the witches, to the helplessness that had once consumed me that day. The mere thought of my innocent angels being taken from me again was enough to make my heart seize. Not this time.
"Adam! Max!" I called out, my voice steady despite the storm of panic threatening to swallow me whole.
"We're here, Teresa," Max's voice boomed from behind me as he and Adam burst through the door, their expressions grim and determined.
"upstairs, now," I ordered, my voice sharper than I'd intended. They didn't question me. They knew what was at stake.
