Alex scanned the meeting room, scratching his head since he still couldn't figure out what was happening.
Instead of going to sit down, he approached Luciel and Melisa.
"Hey, what is this all about?" Alex whispered into Luciel's ear, wanting to know what he signed up for.
"I'll tell you after the meeting," Luciel replied, leaving his friend in the dark as the punishment for being late.
"I believe that the three of us should be enough," Scarlet commented, crossing her legs.
Jack didn't have the happiest expression on his face. He let out a sigh and rested his chin in the palm. "I still can't let you go, it's too risky."
"But with a vampire on our side, we should be able to avoid most dangers." Scarlet opposed, quickly glancing at Luciel before looking back at Jack.
Luciel nodded when Scarlet faced his direction, confirming what she had just said.
