"You are what?" Scarlet raised her eyebrows, blinking a few times. Her cold mask fell for a second after hearing Helen's words and knowing her, she wasn't joking.
"I-I'm pregnant." Helen's voice trembled as she repeated those words. Instead of feeling happy about that wonderful news, she was scared.
"Wait, wait, wait, how, when?" The red-haired vampire hunter stepped back, trying to put two and two together. It was true that she used to see Helen exhausted and not looking too good, but she would always connect it with the latest happening.
"A night before the fight against Alukah... Luciel and I had done it." Helen answered, rubbing her belly as she looked down.
"Wait, then the baby is... Human?" Scarlet asked, covering her mouth, still trying to process everything.
"Shit." She muttered after seeing Helen nodding with her head, staying quiet. "Did you tell him?"
