These words were not something one would expect from a Leaf Village ninja—or from any ninja, for that matter.
Tsunade and Sakumo Hatake stared directly at Uchiha Jin.
Choza tugged on Jin's sleeve.
The three of them felt uncomfortable with the tension in the air. They had never imagined that Jin would have the guts to say something like that.
These were two of the most important figures in Konoha!
But Jin remained unphased, standing there with a wide smile, awaiting their response.
As his strength grew, so did his options. It was about time he revealed a bit more of his ambitions.
"Fine, what do you want?" Tsunade spoke up, crossing her arms as she looked at Jin.
She was curious to see what he would ask for.
"I want access to the Scroll of Seals."
Jin's request came without hesitation, and both Tsunade and Sakumo were surprised. It wasn't that his demand was too much; in fact, it was much lower than they had anticipated.
The Scroll of Seals was highly restricted, but some individuals could access it under special conditions.
Both Tsunade and Sakumo were among those who could view it freely.
The techniques inscribed on it were either highly dangerous or extremely difficult, so neither of them had much interest in learning from it.
Moreover…
Tsunade furrowed her brow.
"Was the Basic Internal Energy Technique your creation?"
"Yes," Jin confirmed, nodding. This was his leverage.
"You should've been granted access to the Scroll of Seals for that alone. Why are you trying to bargain with us?"
In Tsunade's view, Jin's actions bordered on extortion.
Her words, however, made Uchiha Jin's eyes widen.
Tsunade was confused by Jin's reaction.
"Did I say something wrong?"
"It's just…," Jin replied, somewhat exasperated, "I never got anything. Not even a single cent. So how could I qualify to view the Scroll of Seals?"
"That's impossible!" Tsunade's brows knitted even tighter.
Anyone who developed a technique worthy of being added to the Scroll of Seals was typically granted at least one opportunity to view it.
Of course, rank and background played a role in the process. Lesser clans and civilian ninjas would need to go through several layers of approval, but an Uchiha shouldn't have faced such obstacles.
Sakumo remained silent, but he understood the situation clearly.
It was all part of the ongoing suppression of the Uchiha.
Tsunade, too, quickly realized what had happened.
This rule had been established by her granduncle, Tobirama Senju. Although Tobirama had his reservations about the Uchiha, he had never intended for them to be restricted like this.
"Alright," Tsunade said decisively. "If you solve this problem, I'll personally ensure you get access to the Scroll of Seals. And if you manage to save everyone here, even if those old fools object, I'll retrieve the scroll for you myself."
Tsunade had no patience for the anti-Uchiha agenda within the village leadership.
Jin didn't immediately agree, turning his gaze toward Sakumo.
Sakumo frowned slightly before speaking. "I'll submit a request for you as well."
He believed that merit should be rewarded. The Basic Internal Energy Technique had significantly bolstered Konoha's power, and without it, they wouldn't have been able to hold back the Sand Village's forces.
Now that Jin had made such a significant contribution, Sakumo felt the least they could do was grant him access to the scroll.
Finally, Jin smiled, satisfied with their answers.
"So, what's your plan, kid?" Tsunade asked.
"I'm not the one who'll be doing it," Jin replied, shaking his head.
"Are you messing with me?" Tsunade's expression darkened as she clenched her fist. If Jin didn't give her a satisfactory answer, she would make sure he regretted it.
She had already heard from Kushina about how much this guy liked to tease her.
"I've developed a technique specifically for dealing with poison. However, it's not particularly effective as a treatment method; it requires someone with advanced medical skills to utilize it for detoxification."
Jin had already formulated a solution to this problem before arriving.
"So, you're going to teach me the technique?" Tsunade asked, starting to catch on.
Jin nodded. "Whether or not you can save them will depend on how quickly you can learn it, Lady Tsunade."
"Alright, let's get started."
Tsunade knew she had to at least try for the sake of the patients.
"This technique is called the Thousand Spiders Poison Hand."
"Its function is to absorb poison into the user's hand, forming a toxic hand. The more poison absorbed, the more potent the hand becomes."
Jin then began explaining the steps involved in learning the Thousand Spiders Poison Hand.
He wasn't secretive about it. However, the complexity of the technique left many who were listening completely baffled.
Even Sakumo appeared confused by the intricate details.
But Tsunade seemed to be deep in thought.
This was a highly unusual technique, one she had never encountered before.
Its complexity was on par with A-rank jutsu, yet for someone with medical expertise and knowledge of sealing techniques, it wasn't too difficult to grasp.
However, one thing puzzled Tsunade: the technique seemed to have elements of her own methods woven into it.
Or perhaps it was specifically designed with her in mind.
Tsunade gave Jin a long, contemplative look.
This boy was clearly a genius beyond expectations. She wondered how he would compare to her granduncle, Tobirama Senju, when it came to developing jutsu.
Somehow, she couldn't shake the feeling that her granduncle might lose in that comparison.
Was she being disrespectful for thinking that?
"Lady Tsunade," Jin suddenly called out, interrupting her thoughts.
"What is it now?" Tsunade asked, growing impatient.
"When the war is over, would you go on a date with me?"
Jin asked with a cheeky grin.
Sakumo: "..."
Shikaku, Choza, and Inoichi: "..."
The boy had guts, that much was clear.
Tsunade laughed, though it was the kind of laugh that made her grit her teeth.
"Turns out Jiraiya's students really do take after him."
"Wait, Lady Tsunade, let's talk about this—put the fist down!" Jin quickly tried to defuse the situation.
But instead of an agreement, he was met with a powerful punch.
"Go die!" Tsunade yelled.
With a loud boom, Jin was sent flying, crashing into a nearby tent and collapsing it completely.
"Serves him right," Shikaku muttered, annoyed that Jin had dared to even think about flirting with Tsunade.
Tsunade returned to focusing on the new technique Jin had taught her.
The Thousand Spiders Poison Hand was a game-changer for medical ninjas—it could both treat poison and serve as a formidable offensive jutsu.
While difficult to master, for someone like Tsunade, it wasn't an impossible challenge.
She soon completed the first sealing process in her hand.
Without wasting time, she moved toward one of the poisoned patients, placing her hand on the person's chest.
Her hand began glowing green as she slowly extracted the poison from their body.
With the poison gathering in her hand, Tsunade let out a soft grunt.
The hardest part of the jutsu was its initial stage. Before sealing the poison, the user had to endure the pain of the toxins before locking them away.
Once the poison was sealed, the process became smoother.
Soon enough, the first layer of the seal was completed.
Tsunade moved on to another patient and placed her hand on their chest.
"Thousand Spiders Poison Hand!"
In an instant, the poison was rapidly drawn from the patient's body.
