"I can feel his steps crawling closer. At this rate, I would be framed for sexual harassment. Can't even mourn my virginity for a day, what a life."
Gulp!
In a tense mood, Thawne kept his eyes fixed on Elowen. He felt a desire to flee, however fleeing was never an option in his current demise.
Before him was someone you could refer to as a goddess, a beauty capable of blinding those who have already lost the will to see. Yet beyond the white spread which clothed the duo was an awry figure.
Perhaps a guard, or maybe the Baron himself. Thawne had little knowledge about the laws which governed these vast lands, however misinterpretation was something he believed was birthed within humans.
In anticipation for who it was, or the next course of action, Thawne bit his lip in a nervous state and drew closer. If he was to be filed for a deed he never committed, was it not better to commit it without regrets then?
Nevertheless, the lad was too dissatisfying when it came to the issues of lust and love. He was dull to these things, and a highly noted reason was because he was a bachelor.
*Ah this is it, the end. I thought I would live by the seaside in my retirement and live a life without regrets, but this could be the end to all my dreams. It's all over now. *
Whoosh!!
Thawne heaved down for a kiss as the cloth spiraled off the bed. In his act of discourtesy, he held his beliefs firm, and drove his lips deeper for a feel.
Yet in that sudden moment, the room stood silent and his lips fell unto the bed in a rush. A firm but calm voice soothed through his ears, and in a condescending tone it felt confused.
"Thawne??"
Huh??
Woodlock opened his eyes in shock as he found out the lady had…vanished? It was confusing and bizarre in a stroke, with an awry feeling of discomfort creeping through his skin.
"Why are you kissing the bed?", Draven questioned.
"The bed?? Wait just how? She was just here… I mean", Thawne stammered.
"She??"
--Awkward silence—
Draven looked awkwardly at the young lad, and pondered on what meaning laid behind his actions. Thawne on the other hand was rather confused and frozen. The words he almost uttered would have proven his abrupt end.
"I didn't know you were such a pervert", Draven scorned.
"Ugh shut it. It's nowhere near that!! I …. I don't know how it happened, trust me!", Thawne insisted.
"You can't change what the eyes see, Thawne. Hahaha", Draven ridiculed.
"Just leave me alone brat!", Thawne yelled.
Picking up the bed covering, Woodlock heaved it over his face in shyness. Draven mocked the weird actions of Thawne, and after some minutes his pestering grew pale.
"I came to hand over some dresses. You can't keep wearing nothing but a nightwear right? These would keep you warm for your stay here at least."
"Anyways I would keep them at the corner. You can head into the library in case you need my help, and with that I would be at your service anytime.", Draven sighed.
Approaching the door swiftly, Draven grabbed the knob and drove it open. Thawne laid in thought for a few seconds, and in a sudden burst of vigor, he called unto the young master.
"Hey Draven!"
"Yeah?"
"When would the moon be at its highest?"
"Hmm, That is…"
"Perhaps the moon would be bright today."
With an eerie smile, Thawne tucked himself back into the bed. Draven pondered on what the sudden question was, but it all seemed like an encrypted message rather than a questionnaire.
In a nodding manner he exited the room, and strutted calmly towards the library. Thawne looked at his right side, and in a confused manner he pointed aimlessly.
"How did you do that?", Woodlock questioned
"Mmm I thought I hid quite well. Thinking you would decipher my illusion easily, explains why big sis wanted you.", Elowen smiled.
Like a peeling skin, Elowen's illusion of nothingness revealed her sleeping by Thawne. Yet she had a shy smile on her face, and leaned towards the lad to assess more of his abilities.
"What more do you have? Thawne.", she asked.
"Nothing you should care about.", he insisted.
In a sigh of relief Thawne calmly gasped as she retreated. Elowen made her way to the door quickly, and peeked for a sign of the guards. In her exit, she paused for another look at Thawne and smirked.
"If you try kissing me again, I would slap you. Well, see you later", she grinned.
Thump!!
The door slammed close, and Thawne sat with a void expression hanging on his face. He never expected her to be so fierce, and in the end his efforts proved lucky.
"Well, at least I tried to have my first. Hey Dusk, stop biting the shoes and get up here!!"
The day was long and warm, with the duo sharing a grumbling fight of sorts. Yet on the other side of the town, a master awaited his student and his boiling fury only aimed at skinning the lad.
"Where did that brat run off to?", Shen grinned.
Sitting on the bed with a discouraged mood, Shen had grown wary and worried. Thawne had been away longer than expected, and since the kid recently lost his parents, the burden felt heavy.
"I shouldn't have shouted on him. Perhaps I took my actions lightly, but I know not how to care for a child. He has to be in a good condition, I'm certain.", he blamed.
Knock!! Knock!!
"Ah, Thawne!! You are back!", Shen scorned.
Running from the bedroom to the hall, Shen grabbed the hinge and swung the door open. He was filled with uncertainty and worry, as the child's safety was all he pondered about.
Creak!!
"We have come with a report from the…"
Thump!!
Shen shut the door sharply before their words found an end, and mumbled something of annoyance. The knocks from the door grew louder, and in an aggravating tone he opened the door once more.
"What!!", Shen yelled.
"We have brought a report from the Baron of Blackwood. Thawne Woodlock is in our custody and treated as a guest of Lord Draven Ashwood. His wounds are currently treated in the grand room."
"What?", Shen froze.
