The Moonjumper. The memory of meeting him on the unfortunate day clicked pretty quick. Also not forgetting the time I saw he was considered a prisoner to the TTA. He's clearly a threat.
"You tried to kill me before!" I yelled at him.
"Oh yes, I remember you, hat wearing child. You were but a child, and now a young adult. Oh how time turns the adorable ugly."
I feel like I should be insulted but eh, I guess he's right, I'm no adorable smol hatted child anymore. Mu seemed pretty interested in him.
"Exactly what are you, Moonjumer?" she asked.
"Just consider me an enemy of time," Moonjumper said, wrapping one of his red strings around Mu. "Before everyone freaks out, I just wanna have a little look into your pasts, these are nothing but reinforced strings to keep you steady," he said.
Mu was panicking and I was ready to attack him… but wasn't even sure how. I saw his eyes start to go fuzzy and haywire while Mustache Girl remained helpless and quite afraid. After a few moments, Moonjumper let her go.
"Bit of a tragic past with some small arson. Boring. Except for the alternate you, that's quite entertaining."
"What the hell are you talking about, creep?" Mu said.
Moonjumper paid her question no mind though. "Also… Hat Kid's the one who kidnapped you earlier."
"That was you, Hat Kid?!" Mu shouted.
"Whaat? I've always wanted to kidnap someone, so I saw it as an opportunity to cross that off my list of lifelong activity wishes," I told her.
"You mean a bucket list?" she said.
"A... bucket list?" I questioned.
"Yeah, a bucket list."
"Never heard of it."
"Guess it's an Earth term. It basically means what you said. I'll teach you more when they pop up."
Due to some wild events that occurred 6 years ago, this Mustache Girl has no memory of when she took over her planet using my timepieces. And it needs to stay that way for her sake. Now I was even more convinced that Moonjumper was someone very powerful to be able to see her past like that… and also the original; now alternate her.
"You're next, freak," Moonjumper said, wrapping up SS who kept his smile for the moment. After Moonjumper's same act, he released SS. SS actually looked nervous for the results as his smile turned upside-down... I mean literally turning 180 degrees.
"Heh... Ha... Hahahahaha, that's good stuff, you freak of nature! Especially what you did not too long ago," he told SS.
I knew my turn was coming and ran away but was wrapped up in the Moonjumper's strings in moments.
"Nice try, but I want to know about all of you."
He did his thing but I looked straight into his eyes as they went haywire and felt… the final death of many souls. He then released me like the others.
"Ooo… ooo… Lots of interesting things in your life. A single life too. No alternates from you. Your… mother, Pu-"
"Shut up!" I yelled.
"But I think you'll like to hear what I have to say."
"Don't even continue!" I screamed in frustration.
"Truly sorry, I'll move on. So you know Tim you do. He is responsible for many things in this universe and I want him dead! In a painful matter at that. But I can not do anything about him as I'm bound to this horizon. There are many different paths we could have taken in our lives, such as I who could have been a prince who perished in the basement of his love obsessed psycho yandere queen."
I knew exactly what he was talking about and that immensely scared me. My next decision was made carefully since… who wouldn't want a superbeing on their side when they take on those who control fate.
"What if I were to free you from the horizon, would you help take revenge on those who control fate, specifically Tim?" I offered.
"Why I would rip apart time itself if I wasn't trapped here... Those time travelers, they locked me up because they were afraid I'd tear apart the sky itself! At least… that appeared to be the reason why."
"Right… So how exactly do we free you?" I asked.
Mu approached me saying, "Are we sure that's really a good idea? He just said he'd rip apart time!"
"You're not the boss of me, Mu. I'm in charge here."
"Yeah, you're not the boss of her, Mu," SS butted in.
"Fine then! Lets all get torn to pieces by the past reader!" Mu shouted with a pout.
Here I was again making an unsavory ally to try and make my goal easier. I did agree with Mu that it wasn't a good idea but it was one I needed to make.
Moonjumper thought out loud for a moment. "My moonpiece was stolen by Tim and used to lock me away. But I'm certain a counterpart of mine would do the trick. The sands of time, I know you have some, Hat Kid, all you have to do is teleport me out of this horizon dimension," he said, staring at my hat.
I took my Hat off and pulled out a timepiece with hesitation. He stared at me with his crazed eyes while I set the timepiece to target him. Holding my finger over my watch to teleport him out, I could see him getting impatient for my choice. I felt my finger tremble.
"I… I don't know about this anymore-"
"Well I'm convinced!" SS yelled, poking my finger to the button.
The timepiece flashed and blinded us all. Opening my eyes, I saw the Moonjumper gone from the horizon… And I was tied up in string with SS and Mu! Moonjumper floated above us cackling, "Hehahaha, cower before my power!" he screamed. Raising his hands, I prepared for the worse as he threw them in our direction… But nothing happened. He struggled and threw his hands back and forth. SS was the first to laugh and then Mu, with me finally joining in. It appears the Moonjumper was a fraud, or so I thought. He looked back and forth at the small chains on his wrists.
"These chains, I thought they were just for show! Not even I knew my moon piece had such power."
While Moonjumper was ranting, SS managed to pull out his knife and cut the strings around us.
"This guy doesn't seem all that great anymore," Mu muttered at me.
Moonjumper looked up to Mu with a growl, "I heard that, you mustached criminal! Hat Kid, free these chains from me!"
"And just how am I supposed to do that?" I asked with a bored blank stare.
Moonjumper snapped his head up to the trees then in a flash grabbed me and spun us so- ziiiip a bullet nailed him instead of me. "Holy shit!" Mu shouted. Moonjumper flew backwards into the forest and out came flying a hooded Bloodless Dusk hunter, picking herself up off the ground and shooting at Moonjumper who floated out from the trees taking every shot like nothing.
"W-why aren't you dying?" the hunter said paralyzed with fear.
SS watched in excitement while Mu clung to me in fear which I pushed her off. Moonjumper pulled more red string out of his left spiral eye and tied up the hunter, picking them up and floating off the edge of the cliff.
"You guys get to vote what happens to this hunter," Moonjumper said, teasing to drop the hunter.
"I vote to toss em!" SS cheered.
"I-I vote to knock em out and leave em be!" Mu countered.
"This is crazy! Please don't do this!" The hunter cried out.
"Votes one to one, Hat Kid, what's the fate of this hunter going to be?" Moonjumper said with his diamond eye pattern warping around frantically.
I'm all for myurder but now that we have this lady defeated there's no need to be brutal. I'm not a totally cold-blooded killer. They're not bad guys, they're mainly hired to catch dangerous criminals... such as myself if you wanna look at it that way.
"J-just leave them be and place them on the ground, Moonjumper," I told him.
"Ack, boooooring," SS sighed.
Moonjumper placed the hunter on the ground.
"Thanks for not voting for my execution, kid. I'll no longer hunt you and I'll even try to convince some of my colleagues to leave the price on your head alone."
"Just hush," I said, taking my sleeper spray bottle out of my hat and spaying their face. She passed out in mere moments and Moonjumper released her strings.
I jittered myself back to. "Alright Moonjumper, come along with us and we'll find a way to free those chains from you."
He put his pinky up to my face, "Do we have ourselves a pinky promise?"
I sneered, "What do you think I am, a child?"
"Yes, a child who's gone through hell and back," the moonic man blinked.
I always hated being called a child when I was a teen. It was a very large insult to me and is even more now that I've officially turned 91980 days old. 252 years old if that's easier… Still no? Fine, 18 years old, final way I'm saying it!
I locked my pinky with Moonjumper and he said, "Oh goodie. Let's get back to your spaceship and get to causing some chaos!"
I shook my head and started walking. I'm gonna regret this and so many other choices later; I can tell. Mu and I stood behind the 2 freaky creatures out of caution. The trees were green, the wind was howling, and I could see little critters hopping around the grass. Even SS was running around the bushes being his crazy self when he jumped out of the bushes and scared us! Moonjumper wasn't fazed at all but Mu grabbed onto my arm once more which I shoved her off… again. Get a hold of yourself, girl. SS fell to the floor on his arms and legs, shrinking thinner, growing them longer like he was a deflating balloon being stretched. He started skittering across the dirt while sniffing it.
"That's disturbin' as hell," Mu said disgustedly.
SS stopped at a bush and stared at it. The bush wiggled and a tail popped out; then SS and the bush hissed at each other. The bush leaped and latched onto SS's face, they clawed at each other while SS ran in circles screaming. "Someone get this nature fiend off me!"
Mu ran up and pulled the bush off of SS. Mu held the bush back while the two hissed at each other still.
"Hey! Bush boy, ease up!" she told the creature. It began to calm down and turned around to look at Mu. Its face smiled with a meow and snuggled up on her neck.
"O-okay then, you little rough patch of grass. Hehe, settle down!" she said as it licked her face.
I inspected the grassy feline and then looked up at Mustache Girl who just had to ask, "Can we keep him?"
"You're no Snappy," I muttered to myself. "Fine. You can keep him, Mu. He's your responsibility, not mine."
The bush cat looked at me with a happy face and gave me a tiny meow.
"Alright! You're cute! Is that what you wanted me to say?!" "Meow."
"Enough merry-jerry, let's get moving!" Moonjumper said, floating away.
We had finally made it to the location below my ship.
"Before you 3 new recruits enter my home, I'm going to set some rules. Number 1, You will not touch anything without asking. 2, You will eat when I say you eat. And 3, You will all sleep in my room and not be allowed out until I feel like getting out of bed."
I could tell Moonjumper wanted to show himself superior to my rules but resisted.
I teleported Mu and our new companion up, then SS, and finally Moonjumper. Before I teleported myself up, I heard behind me, "The Moonjumper, powerful but dangerous ally to make, definitely."
I spun around and saw the silhouette man disappear into another dark portal.
I shouted out to him but it was too late, he was gone once again. I was tired of being stalked and wanted an answer to the silhouette man but it didn't seem like I was going to get one any hour soon so I teleported myself up.
I materialized onto my ship and of course I saw chaos boiling. Moonjumper and SS were arguing about something when SS pulled out his knife and Moonjumper picked him, slamming him into the ground saying, "Threaten me again and it will be your end!"
"Ow, you bruised 3 of my eyes!" SS whinned.
"You guys! What the peck is going on?!" I asked.
Neither of them replied to me so I just went over to Mu.
"You given that thing a name yet, Mu?"
"Well, earlier I called him, little rough patch of grass. So I thought, Rough Patch was good."
"Creative enough, I like it. I also have a gift for you."
She gasped, "You do!"
I could see that Mu was the more non-lethal type. Funny as peck since… you know… she went mad and was judging everyone to death with the power of timepieces on her side. But this was a completely different Mustache girl and I felt like we might have been better friends if I was still my happy child self. Now I'm a broken soul (not literally) and on the run for my life. How the smug have fallen.
I took one of my backup parasols out of my room's closet and handed it to her.
"A parasol similar to mine but with your outfit's colors of red with purple stars. It's many things proof, specifically notable, bullets. Hand selected by me in the Shady Market just for you since I knew you'd come to me weaponless."
She thanked me with the biggest smile I've seen on a human. And okay, I will admit that making another person happy made me feel happy on the inside. I went back to the main room balcony where the fuel vault is and made an announcement to the subjects below me.
"Attention fellow enemies of time and space! While moonjumper tries to remember how to free the chains on him, we'll be earning some currency so that we can survive while mobile. The ship is on course and also on lockdown, so NOBODY do anything stupid and get us killed in the meantime. I'm looking at you, SS! You little psychopath, " I mumbled.
"Roger that, Captain Kid," Moonjuper said with a salute, Mu following suit with her own. SS just kinda stood there with his smile. That pecking creepy smile. My Roombi, named Roombi, took a look at Moonjumper and SS deciding who it wanted to hang out with, and chose Mu… Or Rough Patch I should say. Rough Patch jumped around and played with Roombi while Mu watched.
It got a smile out of me. "Good. I'll be in my room so if anyone needs me, alert my co-pilot Roombi."
I could really have used some time by myself so I went to my room to do random things along with writing in my diary, which is all that I just semi-wrote. My arm still hurt from being shot so note to self to check that out.
Going back in time to save my mother… and maybe my father is complicated now that I'm a traveler of time and space. I will not elaborate further as it is common knowledge why.
