Hello, me. If it's not me reading this; then you've stolen my diary, peck you. Though I will admit that I like tailoring my diary as if someone else reads it. Anyway, the story this will tell doesn't entirely start with me. It starts with a girl who has a mustache. Her name is Mustache Girl, or Mu for short. My ex-friend Bow Kid and I brought her to the Time Travelers Agency to join our cause because as it turns out, she had a sense for the sands of time. All that does is allow a person to sense nearby timepieces and timerifts. Ordinary people always accidentally get lost through time and space when they find and mess with one of the two; which causes an anomaly. That's where the TTA's CEO comes in. Tim travels to the location and most of the time finds people whose soul is split. It's a lot more complicated but the bottom line is they're forced to join the TTA. Mu was an exception and not my idea. It's been 6 years since I'd last seen her when we took her to the TTA. She was only 12 at the time and I gave her some coordinates and a date to meet me in the future. We planned to take down the TTA or something. Maybe just change the way things are run? I decided we'd cross that space bridge when we got there. As of what I begin to write from this point on may just stop at one point and if it does then you know what may have unfortunately happened.
Day 2,234 A.O. (After Outcasted)
Mustache Girl is 18 years old and has just graduated from the TTA's training program on 'traversing the universe and collecting timepieces.' That's what I told her to train in so she can travel the universe semi-free and find me. There's no ceremony or anything to celebrate one's achievement at the TTA which made me wonder if Tim really just hates us all. At this moment, Mu is preparing to leave the TTA HQ and find Hat Kid. Before setting off on her journey she says a farewell to her mentor Timmy."Are you sure you don't want me to accompany you on your first mission, Mustache Girl," he asked her.
"No thank you, Timmy, I think I'm more than capable," she said with a proud stance, twirling her mustache.
"Alright then, just be careful. It's a dangerous universe out there."Mu waves his concern off. Before she entered her small starter ship, she heard Timmy call out, "Hey! Mu!"
Mu turned around to face him.
"Goodluck on your first timepiece retrieval!" he told her.
"Thanks for your guidance, Timmy! I'll make sure you get the best treatment when this place is decimated."
"Wh-what?"
"Nevermind! See you eventually!" Mu smiled, boarding her ship. The TTA gives new employees a small ship to begin so they come straight back after their mission. Eventually after she proves herself enough, Mu will get her own custom ship like Hat Kid's... But that's not going to happen after what she's about to do.Mustache Girl checked the note Hat Kid gave her 6 years ago, which revealed coordinates and a date to her. She has one day left till it's time to meet up so she inputs the coordinates and auto-flies to her destination through light space. Mustache Girl read her ship's manual while she waited to arrive at her destination. "This ship barely has anythin'. Just a restroom, bed, basic teleporter, and tiny kitchen. It's fine, I probably won't need it soon."
Seems like Hat Kid isn't the only one who talks to herself after all. After getting bored, Mu plopped on her bed and closed her eyes for what seemed like minutes, till she fell fast asleep. She awoke many hours later with her ship floating outside her designated planet. Mu rubbed her not-so-tired eyes and checked her timewatch. "Peck! I'm going to miss the time frame!" Mu should have set her ship to wake her when she arrived; rookie mistake. She teleported down to the planet below and began following the direction her timewatch told her to go. She made her way across the small grassy mountains till she reached the outside of a market; the universal black market to be exact, but she didn't know that. She arrived at her exact coordinates in a populated area and looked around her for Hat Kid. I myself stood not too far at a stall, drinking some fresh blood when all of a sudden- "Haat Kid! Hat Kid! Are you here!?"I spat out my drink in shock of hearing my name and looked over to see Mustache Girl frantically searching the crowd of miscreants for me. She was easy to recognize with a new red tux (probably from the TTA), but still, that same red hood she always had on. I acted quickly and shuffled through the crowd trying to sneak up on her. Before she knew it, I grabbed her from behind and exploded a potion in her face, and before she passed out she said, "Hat Kid... help..."I'm impressed with how quickly that put her to sleep. I've really upped my witch chemist abilities in the last 6 years.I picked her up with ease; she was as light as an owl feather. Walking through the market, I received a few glances but nobody seemed to care that I had just kidnapped someone. Figures, in a place like this all anyone cares about is not drawing bad attention to themselves. Plenty of criminals such as myself here. Carrying her to the outskirts of the market and just before I teleported us up to my ship, I noticed what looked like a person kinda far away sitting by a tree, staring at me. The star of this solar system must've been really blinding me because as I blocked the sun a bit from my eye with my arm, all I could see of them was mostly black, possibly a silhouette. I clicked the teleport button on my timewatch while staring back at them and materialized away with Mu. While I am hunted, I blame my mother for my extra paranoia of being stalked.I wasn't taking any chances of that being someone who wanted to hunt me down, so I tossed Mu's body to the floor and ran for the ship's controls, tripping over myself. Inputting some coordinates for the place I needed to go and jolting to light space, I took a reliving deep breath. Now that Mustache Girl and I were in a safe space, I set her comfortably in the pillow pool in my room and sat in front of her.Day 2,235 A.O.
A major amount of hours went by and Mu hadn't woken up yet. I feared my potion was a little too potent, or she was dead. But her snoring said otherwise hehe. After a bit more of waiting, Mu finally woke up and the first thing she saw was me writing in my diary so I shut it and put in my hat. That's when the blonde-headed mustached girl saw me for the first time after 6 years. "Hat Kid!" she cried out to me. Mu ran up and hugged me like she had never been given a hug in years... perhaps that was the sad truth. Such as it was mine.
"I remember being attacked, and you saved me!" she said.
"Uhhh, yeah... I saved you. You have that one hundred and twelve percent correct." I gently pulled her off me and backed up while dusting myself off. "First things first, you are now under my authority and will follow my orders."
"Yes, Ma'am!" she said, saluting to me.
I wasn't even really serious about it. Must have been my stern tone. "Follow me."
I began walking down to my lab with a serious face and my hands behind my back, Mu following close to me with a smile.
"Have a lay on that table," I told her.
"Alrighty then, fellow criminal."
"The TTA puts a tracker in every member's right eye; this you probably know." I pulled out a set of pliers. "I gotta take out your eye," I said, squeezing the pliers twice and creating metal clink sounds.
"No no no get away from me!" Mu swiped at me.
I laughed, "I'm just kidding, I'm not gonna put you through the pain I went through. Fortunately, you get to keep your eye unlike me."I took out my witch hat and began mixing chemicals. Why do I have a witch hat you ask? The sole reason being because... witches are cool...
After a minute of mixing and calculating, I poured the new liquid into a spray bottle. "I used a similar chemical on a moth named Grimm once."
"Wait... a moth?" Mu questioned.
"Yup, have a sweet dream." I chuckled; spraying the bottle in her face. The mist fell over Mu and she fell asleep instantly.
"You won't feel a thing, my mustached friend. Sorry not sorry," I told Mu's sleeping self. I only practiced ocular surgery once... The fate of poor Mustache Girl's right eyeball was in my hands... almost literally. I held a small thermo-laser and using a gentle swab, pushed Mu's eyeball to the side a bit to see the optic nerve. Trying not to hit anything vital, I fried the micro tracker in her optic nerve and retinal blood vessels. I obviously didn't know where the microchip was precisely, so I... just... burned a line across... I'm more than sure it won't hurt her in the future. After finishing the surgery; would I even consider what I just did surgery? All things considered, I'm no surgeon, but I thought Mu should have been breathing throughout all that process, and not just most of it. After a not-so-big panic attack on my part, Mu woke up for a moment in a daze, holding her hand over her inner burned right eye. "Ugh... my eyeball feels like it was just ripped out of its socket."
"Tell me Mu! What exactly does it feel like?! What does it feel like to have part of a vital sense taken from you in a split moment?!"
"Wh-what...?"
That ignorant peckneck! I guess it's not her fault though; I should have used something to suppress the pain.
I carried her to my pillow pool as she was very woozy and didn't react much to my outburst. I let her rest while I went back to the pilot's seat and made sure the ship was on course. After that, I wrote a little in my diary. Uhh... I wrote all that was before these events as it was the start of a journey. It's funny that I'm talking about writing in my diary while I'm writing in my diary, haha. I'm stupid for making myself laugh...
