The fresh beams of sunlight filtered through the blinds of Liora's window, adding a subtle warmth to her face and stirring her awake. Liora groggily rose up from her bed, pulling down the covers as she sat upstraight.
The pain of yesterday lingered, but it was not as intense anymore. Liora's heart began to beat faster as she clenched her fists at her sides, her determination rising in her chest, burning like a bright flame that had been extinguished for far too long.
'Never again,' Liora thought as she climbed out of her bed, 'Never will I kill a tamed beast again, regardless if it's for the mission or not. Never again will I betray trust shown to me again.'
Liora vowed to herself, determined to become the best Beast Tamer in the kingdom.
She quickly exited the room and made her way over to the bathroom, taking a quick bath to clean herself off first. Once done with her bath, she returned to her room and quickly got dressed in a different training uniform then before.
Liora checked herself out in the mirror, giving herself a satisfied smile as she saw that she looked good. Now that she that was done with her morning routine, it was time to head back to the adventurers guild.
She exited her room and began to walk towards Mark's room, her pace quick, but her resolve firm. As she reached Mark's room, Liora took a deep breath to steel herself, before gently knocking on the door.
"Mark, you there? It's me, Liora." She said as she continued to knock on the door.
After a few seconds, the door swung open. Behind it stood Mark, his chest exposed with strong sculpted muscles that brimmed with power, if it were any girl, they would've blushed heavily upon seeing Mark like this, but Liora didn't really care, she already had someone she had to find.
"You're awfully early." Mark said as he let out a yawn, scratching the back of his hand.
'Is she here to talk about yesterday?' Mark thought as he raised an eyebrow curiously.
"Why aren't you dressed properly? It's shameful to be seen like that, especially by a noble." Liora said, sighing to herself and shaking her head "Hurry up and get ready, I want to head to the guild right now."
Mark blinked as he heard her words, his eyes widening in suprise for a bit. "You want to go back to the guild? Aren't you affected by what happened yesterday? You need to rest, atleast for today." Mark said.
"I'm fine, I'm over it now. You're my teacher, right? It's your responsibility to teach me when I want to learn." Liora replied firmly.
'This girl...' Mark thought inwardly, narrowing his eyes as he studied her expression, but all he saw was a determined face, one that was ready to conquer anything thrown at it.
"Alright," Mark said as he casually shrugged, "I'll meet you in the living room in a few minutes, I need to get ready." Mark said as he slowly closed the door.
A small smile formed on Liora's face as she turned around to leave towards the leaving room, a relieved sigh escaping her lips. As she continued to walk, Liora began to ponder to herself:
'I want to try and enter a dungeon as soon as I can. But the weakest dungeon is only accessible at D-Rank, meaning that if I have to rank up quickly.' Liora thought to herself as she stared up at the ceiling, before continuing:
'Dungeons have monsters created by the magical energy that resides inside, these monsters can be slain to drop treasures, ranging from weapons, to items, to armor, etc.
Additionally, these dungeons have floors, the higher you climb the floors, the more challening it's going to get, and the better the rewards. If I could access to a dungeon, I would be able to increase my level exponentially.
The monsters inside these dungeons could also be tamed and brought outside, usually a monster couldn't leave the dungeon, unless a dungeon break occured. On every floor, there is a magical barrier that prevents monsters from leaving or moving up to other floors.
But when a monster is tamed, it establishes a magical link between the monster and the Beast Tamer, that allows the monster to leave the floors and dungeon.'
Liora thought as she walked into the living room, noticing that her family members weren't awake yet. She walked up to a nearby sofa and sat down on it, leaning into it as she let out a comfortable sigh.
'I just hope that I'll be able to find a strong monster to tame, or if that doesn't work out, blood contract it and enslave it to my will.'
Mira walked into the living room, she had come to check if everything was clean and handled well. Her eyes widened a bit upon seeing Liora, and she smiled as she walked over to her.
"Morning, young mistress." Mira greeted warmly, leaning beside her. "May I ask why you're awake at such an early time?"
"I'm going to the adventurers guild." Liora replied firmly before continuing "I want to complete as many quests as I can, and hopefully along the way, tame a strong beast." Liora said to her.
"I see.." Mira said to herself, placing a finger on her chin as she contemplated deeply. "Anyway, would you like some tea? I could serve it with some snacks." Mira asked.
Liora nodded, "Yes, that would be nice." She said and Mira smiled before leaving the room.
After a few minutes of waiting, Mark had finally arrived into the living room. Liora looked at him as he entered and finally steadied herself, she was getting a bit tired of waiting for him as she really wanted to leave as early as possible.
"There you are." Liora said as she watched Mark sit down, a playful smirk on her face "I was about to start getting bored."
