Chris's eyes lingered on the system panel infront of him, a small hum echoing from it and filling the room.
He knew he would awaken his system as soon as he turned 10, but he didn't expect to awaken with the power of Necromancy. Yea, Necromancy, the power to summon and rule the undead.
'This is insane..' Chris thought.
It was just like the countless novels he used to read, where the Main Character after reincarnating gets his/her own system. Though he has seen countless Necromancy itterations, he had never heard of Divine Necromancy before.
Before Chris could continue pondering about the situation and control his beating heart, he heard hurried footsteps rush towards his room. Chris looked at the door and his mother burst open, holding a sword she used to use as an adventurer.
"Whats wrong!?" Jade called as she scanned the room, her eyes sharp, darting all across the room. Though she didn't find anything, and put her sword down.
Chris laughed awkwardly, scratching his head in embarrasment "Sorry mom, i just had a bad dream." Chris lied, trying not to worry his mother.
Jade sighed in relief as she stepped closer, walking up to Chris and pulling him into a warm hug "It's okay, we all have bad dreams at some point. You must be stressed about the Awakening, hm?" She said.
Chris smiled as he returned the hug, "A bit yeah, but don't worry. I'll be fine, i'm sure i'll awaken a good attribute for magic and make you proud." Chris reassured his mother.
Jade smiled as she pulled back, her eyes shining with a small glint of pride "I'm sure you will, rest up. Today's an important day." She said as she turned to walk out of the room, stopping by the door as she turned around and whispered to him
"Happy Birthday, son." With that she closed the door and left.
Chris felt a strong fire burn in his heart, his fists clenching as he turned his attention back to the system interface infront of him.
It seems that his mother couldn't see it, just like every protagonist of the system novels, he was only one blessed with this ability. Besides Misha of course. He took a deep breath, steadying his nerves as he did what every other protagonist would do: Call out its name.
"System, open status." Chris demanded, his lips curling into an excited smile.
The system immediatly responded with a soft chime and changed its interface.

Chris examined his stats for a bit, his eyes settling on the name of his proffession. 'Divine Lord Of Necromancy? What is this?' Chris thought, curiousity getting the better of him.
The system hummed and changed again, providing information about the proffession.
[Divine Lord Of Necromancy: Once belonging to the divine god of death, this proffession allows the user to use necromatic abilities far surpassing those of a normal necromancer.
The profession is a combination of Divine Light Magic and Cursed Dark Magic, granting the user a powerful potency and control over those magical elements.]
'Woah! What the hell? I have 2 magic elements? This changes everything. I can't let anyone find out about this, only problems will occur once they do.' Chris thought, his mind already imagining the worst case scenarios.
He brushed it off aside and focused his attention of his Talent, his heart leaping in joy as he discovered that he not only had 1, but 2 Talents.

'Holy shit! This is so overpowered!!!' Chris exclaimed internally, his eyes wide as a wicked grin spread across his face. He rolled around his bed in sheer excitement, stoked on the power of the Talent he has gotten.
He knew with this his growth would become unrivaled and he would rise to the top in no time. He took a deep breath and calmed himself down again, glancing over to his [Soul Regeneration] Talent.

'...' Chris was speechless, his jaw dropping in awe. His Talents were more than overpowered, straight up Cheat Skills. He couldn't control his sheer happiness and excitement as he let out a small laugh.
Though he wanted to go see these abilities in effect, he knew he still had a few more things to check out. He glanced at his remaining Skills, [Summon Lesser Skeleton] and [Soul Consumption].

Chris stroked his chin in contemplation, a wicked grin still plastered on his face. He could summon undead and eat the souls of his enemies, how awesome is that?
Chris jumped from his bed and onto the floor. His heart racing, beating madly in his chest. He couldn't hold it in anymore, he wanted to try his abilities now. He gave a quick glance around the room and moved to the center where he had alot of room.
He stretched out his hand and closed his eyes, using all his might to concentrate. He could feel a small warmth coarse through his body and towards his hand, his body quivering a bit to the strange-yet welcoming sensation.
'If it's just like any other system, then all i have to do is think of the Skill i wanna use and it should work right?' He thought to himself.
'[Summon Lesser Skeleton]' He called out in his mind and the warmth in his body materialized.
A golden fire-like aura flowed from his hand and onto the floor, the air grew thick and warm, a dual sensation that mustn't fit together, but it did just right in this situation.
Soon the floor looked like it was burning and out of the massive golden flames stepped out 10 imposing figures. Skeletons, their bony figures standing infront of Chris, golden flames burned brightly inside their eye sockets and empty rib cage. A sign of life in a dead body.
Chris didn't expect 10 Skeletons to show up, but he smiled. Knowing that this was the effect of his [Blessing Of The Death God] Talent.
"System, show me their stats" Chris commanded the system and it showed the stats of one of the skeletons.

'Hmm, they all appear to be arounr the same level and all are equally strong. They dont possess any skills, which is a shame.' Chris thought, looking at his undead summons.
Before he could continue contemplating, a voice resounded in his head. Startling him a bit.

The skeletons infront of Chris's began to glow with a much more richer light of gold, blinding him temporarily. Once the light faded, the skeletons infront Chris glower with a golden colour, the fires inside them intensifying.
Chris checked their stats again and to his shock and amusement, their stats did multiply by 10x.

Chris laughed in sheer delight at the power his summons were eminating. Though he felt a bit mad because they were more than 10x stronger than him. He brushed it off and wanted to try something.
'Since im their king now, let's see if this will work.' Chris though as he pointed to the floor and spoke with a voice that boomed with authority.
"Kneel." Chris commanded. The Skeletons immediately obliged and knelt down infront of Chris, their heads hung low as they devoted themselves to him.
Chris was stunned, his eyes widening a bit in suprise. He could feel his heart dancing, his mind reeling with endless possiblities.
'Holy shit, holy shit, holy shit! This actually works! Im a king, a god! Hahahah!' Chris laughed internally.
But then he realized, he couldn't let the power get to his head, he had to control himself. He shook his head and put on a more serious expression, he couldn't let anyone find out about his abilities.
He deactived the [Summon Lesser Skeleton] Skill, and turned back to his window. There was a forest not too far from the village where weak monsters could be found, it was advised not to head there at all until you awakened your abilities.
Chris already awakened his abilites and technically, thought that he wouldn't get into trouble for stepping into that place. He moved over to his window and opened it, jumping out and closing it from outside.
The village was quiet, the moonlight making it a bit better to see in the dark. Chris wasted no time, he apologized inwardly towards his mother for sneaking out without her permission. He couldn't help himself as he found himself running to the direction of the forest.
