"Come at me you bastards!" Liora replied in a cold, mocking tone. Charging towards them again, before going in for another slash.
This time the goblins reacted quickly, one leaped to the side to counter attack and the other blocked Liora's sword strike. Seeing the opportunity presented to it, the goblin that dodged went in for a stab with his dagger.
Liora reacted quickly, her eyes locking onto the incoming threat with automatic-like movements. She barely dodged the attack, leaping back as the dagger hit the other goblin, making it cry out in even more pain.
She quickly readjusted her footing and decided to end the fight, delivering a clean vertical slash that severed the goblins heads, blood spraying everywhere as their bodies fell to the ground limply.
[Liora has slain a Goblin! +100 Exp(x10) +100 Beast Points(x10)]
[Liora has slain a Goblin! +100 Exp(x10) +100 Beast Points(x10)]
[Liora has levelled up! +2 Stat points(x10)]
Liora grinned as she saw the massive experience she accumulated, her eyes shone with a predatory glint as she turned her gaze to the other goblins. Starting to approach them slowly.
The goblins gritted their teeth in rage as they roared a battle cry before charging into battle, rushing at her with their weapons held high, ready to strike. "You damn human! You shall pay for drawing blood from my brothers!" The goblins shouted in unison.
Liora planted her feet to the ground as she began to parry the attacks of the goblins, the sheer number of their blows making it difficult to block them all.
One of the goblins tried to slash down at her head, but she dodged it and delivered a strong punch to the gut of the goblin.
The force of her punch made the goblin lose the air in it's lungs and drop it's weapon, another horde of attacks came her way, and she couldn't block them all without getting injured.
She instinctively grabbed the goblin by it's shoulders tightly, her nails digging deep into it's skin.
With all her strength, she picked upload the goblin and spun around with it in a 360° Rotation, the goblin yelled in pain as it felt multiple attacks slash at it's body, and some brutally stabbing into it.
The goblins eyes widened in shock as they saw the move Liora played, using one of their own as a shield to block their attacks. The goblin in Liora's hands went limp, signaling that it was dead, and that made the goblins even more furious.
Liora tossed the body of the goblin to the ground, before picking up a pair of stone daggers as her new weapons. Her practice sword was now heavily damaged, about to break as cracks filled it's form.
She threw the practice sword away and got into the best fighting stance she could, fighting with two daggers was going to be a new experience for her, but she wasn't going to back down from conquering it.
The goblins charged at her again, and the fight resumed. Liora fought hard with all she could, slashing and parrying all the attacks she could, but even that didn't last long.
A goblin went in for a stab at her, which she managed to block, albeit barely. During her distraction a goblin kicked her square on the chest, making her fall to the ground hard. Immediately the goblins pounced on her, ready to tear her to shreds.
Liora closed her eyes in fear, expecting the worst.
Mark, who had been watching things unfold, let out a sigh and vanished from his position.
The shrieks of goblins echoed in the air as Mark grabbed a hold of one of their daggers and began to brutally cut them down, his strength was so much that he cut deep into their flesh and split them in half.
Talon roared as he flew off Mark's shoulder and towards the village, the goblins looked up to see the bird flying at them with blinding speeds.
Talon opened it's beak as a bright Golden light began to form in it's mouth, crackling with energy, before roaring loudly one last time.
A powerful invisible force crashed into the goblins, exploding and causing a huge crack into the ground and destroying several goblin settlements.
When the dust cleared many goblins were dead, their bodies littered all over the ground, while some of the lucky ones were still alive, but had their bones broken and had gone deaf from the sound of the explosion.
Liora slowly opened her eyes to see Mark standing infront of her and aggressively chocking a goblin, she was astonished by the power Mark held, not only did he have powerful beasts, but he too was powerful.
"Gah...damn...human!" The goblin barely said, trying to loosen Mark's grip on it's neck.
"This is strange...monsters shouldn't normally be capable of human speech." Mark muttered to himself in disbelief, slightly tightening his grip on the goblin. He stared at the goblin with an aggressive gaze, his tone turning an interrogating tone:
"Who are you? How are you able to talk?" Mark asked the goblin
The goblin chuckled raspily with the limited air in it's lungs, "You..Can't make me..talk human.." The goblin weakly replied, refusing to speak.
Liora rose from the ground and watched the scene unfold, unsure of what to do, other than watch.
Mark gritted it's teeth, tightening his grip much harder than before on the goblin's throat, "Speak! Or I'll kill you!" Mark commanded, but the goblin was determined, daring not to say a word.
"Fine then...you leave me no choice." Mark sighed as he let the goblin go, it's body falling to the ground and weakly gasping for air, couching and wheezing with the little strength it had left in it's body.
Mark grabbed the dagger he was holding, and brought it to his palm. There he slit a small section of his flesh, blood seeping out of the wound and slowly running down his hand. The goblin's eyes widened as it slowly scurried back on the ground.
"No! No! Stay away..not again!" The goblin said in a trembling voice, but it piqued Mark's interest, making him step closer.
"Not again you say? So you know what I'm about to do to you? Interesting.." Mark mused as he grabbed the goblin's wrist violently, and pulled it close to him, before bringing his bloody palm and applying it onto the goblin's forehead.
"Blood contract.." Mark muttered as he activated the spell, and a blood red magic circle materialized infront his palm, and the goblin started to cry out in pain.
"Gah! No!!!" The goblin yelled as pain so high coarsed through it's being, it fell to the ground as it felt like it's body began to burn, thrashing it's arms and legs wildly.
"Stop resisting, your only making it worse for yourself." Mark advised the goblin, watching it continue to cry out in pain.
The goblin's cries echoed out into the forest, the pain in it's voice was enough to make Liora feel bit of pity towards the monster.
'So this is why they call him the Master Of The Crimson Bonds,' Liora thought as she gazed at her own palm, reflecting on how she had used the [Blood Contract] Skill.
A Blood Contract was a method used by Beast Tamers to subdue beasts and make them follow to their commands, the method was first considered to be evil because of it's dark nature, but as time went on, Blood Contract became a part of Beast Taming.
Blood Contracting a beast requires magic and the willpower of a Beast Tamer, when a Blood Contract is made, the Beast Tamer could set up rules for the contract, if they wished to do so. Most Beast Tamers choose to enslave monsters, due to their refusal to accept friendly agreements, and their hate for each other.
If a monster breaks a rule, such as refusing to follow an order, the Beast Tamer could then use their magic and inflict pain on their body. But this too requires willpower, if the will of Beast Tamer is weak, then there is a possibility of the monster breaking the spell and retaliating.
Mark clicked his tongue at the determination the monster showed, and channelled a bit of his magic into the spell, to crank up the pain. Immediately the goblin roared out in even more pain, thrashing it's body around more wildly.
The goblin's eyes locked onto a dagger next to it, and quickly grabbed onto it. Mark's eyes widened slightly as he knew what the goblin was about to do.
"Don't-!" Mark tried to command, infusing more magic into the spell in a desperate attempt, but it was too late.
Unable to handle the pain anymore, the goblin stabbed itself in the neck, chocking on it's own blood as it began to bleed to death.
Mark ran up to it, his expression turning to that of frustration, the monster was able to handle his spell, something that doesn't happen very often, moreover it could talk, adding to the mystery behind it.
"Ha..ha.." The goblin chuckled one last time before going limp, and dying.
