"Hey, Misha!" A young teenage boy calls, tapping lightly on the door of his girlfriends house. He wasn't handsome, nor too athletic, but he was incredibly smart, some even considered him a genius while others would mock him as a nerd.
"Coming!" Misha called as she rushed to the door, her steps loud and quick, pounding on the floor.
The door swung open, revealing a really cute girl with jet black hair and crimson red eyes. This was Misha of course, Cains girlfriend. She was dressed in her school uniform, ready to leave for their first day in high school together.
"Cain!" Misha yelled excitedly as she pulled him into a tight embrace, Cain smiled and returned the embrace. This was basically a morning routine for them, Misha was very clingy and liked to spend most of her time with Cain.
Whether it be at school, home, or even going on dates. "You could let go of me now, or else we're going to be late." Cain said.
Misha shook her head, "No, just a bit longer please?" Misha asked, her crimson eyes burning through Cain's skull, making him unable to say no.
"Just a little while okay?" Cain said as he put on a more serious expression, though he wasn't good at it and looked really goofy.
"Yay!" Misha cheered as she tightened the embrace, squeezing the life out Cain.
After a few minutes she finally let go, giving Cain some space to catch his breath 'If she keeps doing that, she's actually going to kill me someday.' Cain thought.
"Now then, shall we go?" Cain asked extending a hand.
Misha shone a bright smile and took his hand, interlocking their fingers as they walked over to the bus stop. Cain and Misha were childhood friends, the best of friends. Whenever Cain was in trouble Misha would always be there to back him up, she even fought to protect him once which just made Cain feel a bit pathetic as a man.
But Misha didn't mind, she wanted to love and protect Cain with all she had. Even going as far as saying that she'll 'happily offer her life' to save his if it ever came to that. But Cain didn't take her words seriously, just thinking it as a way couples express their loves to each other, nothing serious right?
Soon the two of them reached the bus stop, Cain sat down on the bench and Misha joined him, still holding hands and interlocking fingers. He could feel Misha's gaze on him, filled with love and devotion.
"Today's gonna be our first day in high school together." Cain started the conversation, "I really hope you make friends this time, i can't be the only one in your life y'know."
Misha's eyes narrowed and her grip on Cain's hand tightened, she locked eyes with him and spoke in a determined voice "No Cain, you're all i need. I don't need friends to keep me company when i have you, i don't want to spend my attention on other people besides you, i love you Cain."
Cain's heart fluttered in his chest, but at the same time a pain gnawed his heart. He was starting to get worried about her, she still refused to make friends even until now. "Misha, i'm glad to hear that and i love you too. But-" Before cain could finish speaking, Misha closed the distance between them and kissed cain on the lips. Cupping his cheek with her free hand.
Cain was suprised at first, but soon leaned into the embrace, closing his eyes and kissing her back with the same passion and intensity. This wasn't strange to him as they would kiss atleast once everyday, with Misha insisting on doing it more.
When they finally part a crimson flush is engraved on their cheeks, mostly on Cain since he wasn't really good with relationships. Though it was the couples first time dating.
Misha placed a finger on Cains lips, sealing them shut to prevent him from speaking "No buts, i'm not going back on what i said." Misha said in a determined voice, her eyes shining with her determination and devotion for him.
Cain managed a small smile, but as they waited for the bus in silence, he felt a chill creep in, a nagging thought that maybe, just maybe, he was underestimating just how much he meant to her.
After a few minutes of waiting the school bus pulled up, Cain and Misha stood up and entered the bus. Once inside they greeted the bus driver and moved to the back of the bus, where they would be alone together.
Cain flopped onto the bus seat, letting out a relaxed sigh. Misha giggled and sat beside him, she moved closer and rested her head on her shoulder as her arms wrapped around him, holding onto him as if her life depended on it.
Cain blushed, his heart throbbing in his chest, he tried to calm himself down and spoke in a soft voice "H-hey!" he whispered to Misha "Not here, what if people see us?"
Misha lifted her head and grinned, she moved foward and pressed her lips against Cain's again, planting them in a sweet and loving kiss. When she parted she let out a small laugh, "You don't have to be so shy, my love~" Misha said in a sultry tone, deepening Cain's blush.
"Besides," She looked ahead to the passangers, who didn't have the slightest clue of what was happening behind them "If anyone has a problem, i'll beat the living crap out of them." She said in a cold, almost murderous voice.
Cain's smile faltered, a chill running down his spine as he glanced at her. He knew she was fiercely protective, but the edge in her tone unsettled him. He managed a weak laugh, hoping to ease the tension. "Alright, alright," he replied softly, squeezing her hand as if to reassure himself.
But as they continued the ride, he couldn't help but wonder just how far Misha would go to keep him by her side.
Suddenly, the bus stopped with the loud screech of the tires. Cain was suprised, this was unusual for the bus to just stop like this. And then, a group of men entered the bus, holding guns and other weapons.
Cain's heart froze in his chest as he gaze at the men infront of him, he shot a nervous glance at Misha. But was suprised as she didn't look scared at all, she looked more calm and calculated, like she already knew how to deal with situations like these.
"Nobody move! Or else you die!" One of the men yelled, presumably the leader of the group. He was a tall bald man, with a scar at lower jaw. He pointed the gun at the passangers, instilling fear in all of them. The passengers complied, their bodies shivering with fear.
The other men accompanying him did the same, pointed their weapons at the passengers and making sure they don't move as well. Misha's eyes narrowed as she observed the men infront of them.
"Stay here, i'll take care of this." Misha said as she stood up, but Cain gripped her hand and yanked her back down.
"Are you crazy!?" He whispered, his eyes wide with concern and fear of losing her "You'll get killed!"
Misha's eyes softened at his worried expression, "Well, what do you think we do?" She asked, not a hint of fear in her voice.
Cain sat there pondering for a moment, until a bright idea popped in his head "I'll call the cops." Cain suggested as he reached in his pocket and grabbbed his smartphone.
"You two there!" A man yelled at Cain and Misha, walking up to them with a large knife in his hands. Cain quickly burried the phone in his pocket and put on a more steady expression, while Misha looked at the man calmly, though inside she was already planning on how to kill him if he tried to do anything to Cain.
"Yes, how can we help?" Misha asked, her voice frighteningly calm and casual.
The man raised an eyebrow, the grip on his knife faltering as he stared at the young girl with confusion 'What is wrong with this kid? Isn't she scared at all' th man thought.
Misha stared at the man with an almost bored expression, wanting him to do something, anything so she can kick his ass and sent him to Mount Thai. The man felt a chill run down his spine as he saw the look in Misha's eyes, he couldn't tell what it was, but he knew if he stayed there he would be killed somehow.
"N-nothing, stupid brats." The man said, his voice as soft as a murmer as she turned around and marched back to his group.
Cain seeing the opportunity presented to him quickly reached out for his phone, with swift fingers he quickly dialed the police. The operator on the other end received the call and was about to speak when Cain quickly shussed the operator in a soft voice.
The operator on the other end understood the situation and acted accordingly "Police department, how can we help you." The operator, seemingly a woman, whispered to Cain.
Cain explained the situation to the operator as quiet and clear as he can to not gain the attention of the men. Misha smiled at Cain's heroic act, her love for him increasing even more as her eyes darkened.
"Understood, we'll send a team of officers your way. Hang tight and don't do anything that might jeapordize the lives of the passangers." And with thar the operator hung up.
Cain breathed a sigh of relief but was still terrified inside, what if the cops come late? That question sent shivers down his spine. Misha saw the concern in his eyes and interlocked their fingers, giving them a tight squeeze as she stared into Cain's eyes. "Hey, calm down." Misha said in a warm voice to calm him down.
Cain looked into her determined eyes, and a strange sense of calm washed over him. He felt both proud and a little unnerved by the fierce protectiveness in her gaze. For now, though, he knew he could trust her completely.
After what felt like hours, the sounds of sirens pulled up to the scene. The leader of the men was suprised and gritted his teeth, he looked at the passangers fury evident in his eyes "Who did it!? Who called the police!?" The man yelled, pointing his gun at the passangers. His eyes scanning the crowd of students.
"This is the police!" A cops yelled from outside, their guns pointed at the bus. "Step outside and put your hands the in the air!!"
The man gritted his teeth, he grab a student from her chair and put the gun to her head "Don't try anything stupid or this girl dies!" He yelled back. The girl, a cute one with brown hair and green eyes. Starting crying uncontrollably, tears streaming down her cheeks at the fact she was going to die.
"Hey!" Cain suddenly shouted, standing up from his seat "Let her go!"
The man smiled, "Stupid kid." He muttered as he took his gun and pointed it at cain, and without warning fired.
The bullet struck Cain straight in his chest, sending him tumbling backwards. Misha's eyes widened as she saw the love of her life heavily injured, she stared at the man with a furious expression. He fists clenching and her eyes glowing red with a menacing aura.
The man seeing this chuckled, amused "What? Tryna be a hero?" He taunted and Misha bolted at him. The other goons tried to block and evem attack her, but Misha dodged everyone of their attacks and disarmed them. The man was suprised as he watched his team get their assses handed to them on silver platters, the girl taking them out with advanced martial prowess.
'What the..' he thought in awe and uprise. As soon as the last goon fell Misha charged at him, the man pull the trigger and shot Misha straight in the shoulder. She winced in pain as blood oozed from her wound, but determined she still persisted.
The man shot her chest, thighs, legs, anything to slow her down. But she kept moving, Misha pull her fist back and punched the man straight in his jaw, the man recoiled and stumbled back. But Misha wasn't done, she grabbed the mans arm and spun around, kicking him on his face with a roundhouse kick.
The man became unconscious as he fell limp to the ground, "Pant...pant.." Misha breathed, holding her wounds in various places. Her eyes flickered back to Cain, her love still bleeding on the floor. Her body was heavy but she kept moving, dragging herself back to him.
In her final moments, she held Cain close, whispering, "I told you... I'd give my life for you." And with that, they both succumbed, united even in death.
