Chapter 110 - Chapter 111: End of the Preliminary

As the final match between Rock Lee and Gaara concluded, the crowd slowly began to settle down, the excitement still palpable in the air. The intensity of the battles had left everyone in awe, and the tension that had built up throughout the day was finally easing.

Hayate, still coughing intermittently, stepped forward to address the remaining genin in the arena.

"Congratulations to all of you who have passed the preliminary rounds," he began, his voice hoarse but carrying authority. "The second round of the Chuunin Exams will take place in 15 days. This will give you time to rest, recover, and prepare for what lies ahead."

The genin exchanged glances, some looking exhausted from their battles, others excited for the next round. The announcement of the break gave them a brief moment to breathe, but everyone knew that the real challenge was yet to come.

Naruto, sitting with his team, grinned widely, already eager for the next fight. Sasuke, leaning back with his arms crossed, looked focused, his mind no doubt on how he would overcome the next opponent. Hyuk, on the other hand, sat in his usual calm manner, watching the others with a faint grin, his thoughts his own.

Hayate continued, "During these 15 days, you'll have time to train and improve your skills. Use this time wisely."

As the genin slowly began to leave the arena, murmurs started to fill the air again, especially about Hyuk. Though the bad rumors still circulated, they no longer held the same weight after everyone had witnessed his abilities in the battles.

Kurenai, standing beside Hyuk, glanced at him with a mix of admiration and worry. She knew the rumors bothered others, but Hyuk remained indifferent as usual, his expression unreadable. He simply shrugged them off, not caring about what people thought.

As the genin exited the arena, the village began buzzing with anticipation. Fifteen days stood between them and the next round of battles, where the stakes would be even higher.
