The first light of dawn crept through the window, casting soft shadows across the room. Hyuk blinked awake, his body still heavy from the night before. He lay quietly for a moment, trying to piece together the events. Next to him, Reina slept soundly, her breathing calm, her face peaceful in the morning glow.
Hyuk's mind buzzed with conflicting thoughts. The night had been wild, a blur of desire and emotion that had left him both exhilarated and conflicted. He had never experienced anything like it before. What started as unspoken tension between them had led to something more than he could have ever imagined.
He shifted carefully, trying not to wake Reina, but his movement stirred her. She opened her eyes slowly, and for a moment, they locked gazes. No words were spoken, but something unspoken lingered between them—something intense and undeniable. Reina sat up, pulling the blanket closer around her.
"Hyuk..." her voice was soft, filled with hesitation, as if unsure of what to say after everything that had happened. She looked away, her expression conflicted.
"Reina," Hyuk whispered, his voice steady but filled with uncertainty. He wasn't sure how to explain what had happened—what they had done—but he didn't regret it. "Last night..."
Reina shook her head gently, as if trying to clear the confusion. "I don't know what to say, Hyuk," she admitted, her cheeks flushed. "I didn't expect any of this."
Hyuk turned his gaze towards the window, his mind still clouded. "Neither did I," he admitted. "But I don't regret it."
Silence fell between them, both unsure of how to navigate the strange new dynamic that had formed between them. Reina lowered her gaze, her fingers gripping the blanket a little tighter. "We crossed a line," she whispered.
Hyuk, still staring at the soft glow of the rising sun, nodded. "I know," he said quietly. "But... I don't think I can ignore how I feel."
Reina glanced at him, searching his face for answers. "Hyuk... this can't continue. It's... complicated."
Hyuk's expression remained calm, but there was a fire in his eyes—a determination. "I don't care," he said, his voice low but firm. "I know what I want."
Reina sighed, feeling the weight of his words. She wasn't sure how to respond, and part of her still felt that nagging doubt. But after everything they had been through, she couldn't deny the connection between them.
Before either could say more, the sound of footsteps echoed down the hall. Hyuk tensed, realizing his mother might be nearby. Reina quickly sat up, adjusting her clothes as a wave of unease washed over her.
"We should get ready," Hyuk said, his voice low, as he moved to stand. "We have to face the day."
