In a society where the poor had been sent to isles and the rich stay on the mainland. People in this society absolutely hate the government. Well, at least we do, we are the poor people. My name is Eclipse, and this is the Isle of lost hopes. Almost everyone here has completely lost their sense of hope. I on the other hand have been working on a lot of things. You see, the rich people have air cooling systems, but we don't. The problem is global warming. After people found out about global warming, everyone wanted to stay in their homes and just try to stop using fossil fuels. The rich people on the other hand made their own atmosphere. They created a big bubble in which they could live in. 

The government had another plan, the government decided to split us all up. They put the poor and homeless into isles. They think that we aren't capable of gaining more money. Little do they know I have a plan; I am going to share my ideas with the isle. Did I tell you about my idea? Well, let me tell you. I made an air cooling system from scraps. They send us the scraps of the rich people. They get all of the good stuff. Anywho, I'm grateful for that anyway. One man's trash is another man's treasure. I know it's corny, but it's true. I mean, without these scraps what would I make the cooling system out of?

Do you think I should call the people in the isle to come see my invention? No, not yet, I still have to do some things with the system, it's a bit faulty. What if they all start spreading the word when they're not supposed to? The government could hear us. They can take me away if they find out. Maybe they'll hire me.... No, no way, they're going to execute me or hang me from a tree! It seems a bit old fashioned, I mean after all, I'm not a wizard. Uh oh, I hear the sirens! This means that the governor is coming! I need to hide my stuff! "Charlie, come help me please!"

"What do you need kid?"

"Help me hide this ummm... this... new invention I've been working on?"

"Eclipse, take it to my house, my wife will take care of it."

"Thank you so much, I can't thank you enough."

"Sure kid."

Charlie and his wife are the only ones that know about my inventions. They caught me building part of my goggles. My goggles help me see at night; they also help me cool my face.

"We will be checking every house"

The governor's checking houses? He's never done that before. I wonder what's so different about today.

"Hey Penelope, is there any way I can hide this where he won't see it?"

"You can hide it under my bed, when you see it, you'll know why, it's a very safe place."

"Thanks Penelope!" She's very nice isn't she. Honestly if she was my age and not married, I would try to make her mine.

"Check that house! It's the last one."

Wait what? They already cleared the other houses? How? It hasn't even been three minutes. I'm doomed, they're going to find it. No, they won't. Penelope said that under her bed would be a great spot. I have to do this very quick.

"Check every crack in this house, don't leave anything unchecked."

"YES SIR!"

Ouch! They pushed me out of the way, why would they do that? It really hurt, I hit my elbow on the door frame. Uh oh, they're looking under the bed, this is where I stop living. GOODBYE CRUEL WORLD! I ENJOYED MAKING INVENTIONS!
