Chapter 8 - Birth and start

In the silence that reigns throughout the mansion of the most powerful Duke of the Solar Empire, I can feel the heaviness emanating from two of the most influential figures in the realm. I find myself in a beautifully decorated room at the end of a long corridor, where the dim light barely illuminates the sadness that envelops us.

To the right of the bed stands the old Duke, dressed in a black suit, his platinum hair cascading down to his waist. At six feet tall, he is feared by enemies, loved by his people, and a true bane to entire armies. To my left is a middle-aged man who resembles the Duke but carries a more youthful air, intently observing the woman resting in the center of the luxurious bed.

I am the current Duchess, known throughout the Solar Empire as the former princess of the Solar Elf Kingdom. Ten years ago, I led the expedition that subdued the black dragon in the north of the empire. But now, setting aside my terrifying beauty, my eyes—the most captivating in the empire—are fixed upon the inert body of my child, whose emerald hair is the result of the union between the Duke and me. Sadness envelops me, for the child I longed to know, care for, and teach lies unresponsive before me.

A minute has passed since his birth, and as the confirmation looms that the curse plaguing our family for generations may return, we must prepare to announce to the empire the untimely death of the next heir to the duchy.

Devastated by the loss, none of us present notice the rising wind in the room, nor the pale shadow of a soul rushing into the inert body of the heir.

With a deep sigh, the old Duke lifts the child from my arms. Just as the Duchess's maid takes the body, the three of us quickly notice an anomaly. With subtle, almost imperceptible movements, the old Duke approaches, snatching the baby from the frightened woman. He begins to pat the little one's back, producing the sound of air being inhaled. For a few moments, the baby emits a slight scream, then falls completely silent. If one were to overlook the gentle rise and fall of his chest, one might think it was all a hallucination.

"What just happened?"

I scream, feeling rage and sadness intertwine in my heart. I cannot tolerate what I perceive as a lack of respect, even from the Duke himself.

"Calm down, Dalia. Father, I noticed something."

"What is it, Father? Say it quickly!"

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

The old Duke does not stop laughing hysterically. Realizing that his actions may have been unexpected, he turns around so we, the parents, can witness the miracle that has just occurred.

"See for yourself, Raion! By the blood of the god of war!"

"This damned curse has been cast out by my adorable grandson!"

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

The incredulity washes over Raion and me as we hear the old Duke speak. The little light we had awaited for so long did not extinguish; barely breathing, I rush to snatch my son from the old Duke, oblivious to the nurses' frantic cries.

"Raion! My little Raimon is breathing, Raion!"

Amid laughter that drowned out any sound, the gentlemen and cleaning staff of the mansion began to sense a change in the atmosphere. Minutes after the former Duke's laughter echoed, the laughter of the current Duke and me, the Duchess, surprised everyone.

After the head butler went to confirm the news and received an affirmation, a festive spirit enveloped the Duchy, starting from the mansion and quickly spreading throughout the empire. The news that the third generation of Dukes had been born safely, despite the false alarm, spread like wildfire.

The night of December 1st, in the year 6021 of the solar calendar, was destined to bring joy to some while instilling fear and uncertainty in others. On this restless night, both in the duchy and in the Imperial Palace, without anyone knowing or noticing, the gears of the world began to turn in a direction filled with uncertainties. A chaotic future awaited these people in the world of Blood Land, along with answers to the disappearance of the ancient gods.

In this fantastical realm, the Solar Empire is a vibrant tapestry woven with magic and conflict. Towering mountains border lush forests where mythical creatures roam, and ancient ruins hold the secrets of past civilizations. Various races coexist, from noble elves and fierce dwarves to cunning humans and enigmatic beings from the shadowy corners of the world. However, this delicate balance is threatened by constant political intrigue, shifting alliances, and dark forces lurking just beyond the horizon.

Despite the stability my family has managed to maintain, I feel danger lurking around every corner. Tensions between kingdoms are rising, and old enmities have resurfaced. Our lineage, marked by an ancestral curse, is in a state of vulnerability, and the arrival of my son could be the key to changing our destiny—or sealing our downfall.

A soul from a different world, driven by an insatiable thirst for knowledge, has made his entrance into this wonderful realm, unaware of what the future holds for him. How will he begin to live this new life with the knowledge he possesses, and what adventures await him?

My little protagonist, named Raimon, with an unpredictable future, could never have imagined that his arrival would trigger a series of events yet to come.

Powerful beings opened their eyes at the same moment Raimon's little heart began to beat again, causing disturbances in various areas of the continent as they sought the source of his restlessness. However, as these characters began to trace the origin of their feelings, they experienced varying degrees of violent reactions from the world, depending on the malice they exuded.

Within a mountain range in the center of the continent, a being with terrifying golden eyes awakened, opening his eyes quickly with a sigh and uttering a phrase in an ancient language that would frighten all races before falling back to sleep.

"Luminous being, blessed by the world and all intelligent races."
