I walked along the sidewalk as I felt the music blasting from my headphones. 

My attention was not focused on what's in front of me. I've walked the path to and from school millions of times, I could've made it home blindfolded. 

Bopping my head, eyes closed.

I opened my eyes, red stop sign.

Without knowing it I had walked myself into a busy crossroad.

The world around me came to a near standstill as I watched the school bus approach. 

Like a deer in headlights, I couldn't move muscle.

I felt the world spinning as I got launched like a rocket.

My body hit the hard asphalt; I lost feeling as I laid on the cold hard ground. 

I felt the ground shake as I looked up into the clear blue sky. I saw a few heads pop up into my vision, but light was dimming, and I couldn't make out what they looked like.
