"The moon is too quiet tonight. Jun's voice cut through the quiet air as she looked at her sisters. Helga and Gudrun exchanged glances. The moon has always been their guide, their anchor. But tonight was different.
"You're imagining things again," Helga replied, though her eyes flickered with uncertainty.
"I know what I feel," Juno shot back. She ran her fingers through her tangled hair, trying to shake off the horror clinging to her skin. "Something is coming.
The three sisters stood side by side and the ceremony had just begun. The pack gathered under the full moon, their faces glowing under its light. But Juno couldn't shake the feeling that crawled up her spine. Her wolf stirred uneasily under her skin.
"You must concentrate," Gudrun whispered beside her. "The pack is watching. You are their leader, Juno."
Juno's jaw clenched. "I feel it, Gudrun. Something is wrong."
Suddenly a movement in the distance caught her eye. A figure emerged from the shadows—tall, broad-shouldered, and unsettlingly calm. Juno's eyes locked on his.
"Who is that?" she murmured.
Helga shrugged. "No idea. He's not from our pack."
The stranger stepped closer and his eyes met Juno's. Dark, magnetic and unreadable. The air thickened. Juno felt her pulse quicken.
"Can you feel it?" Gudrun's voice was quiet, careful.
"Yeah," Juno replied, her voice firmer than before. "Danger."
The elders whispered among themselves. They called him Titus - a scoundrel from a distant land. No pack, no family. No history.
"Why is he here?" Juno asked with narrowed eyes.
"The elders said he was coming through," Helga answered, not convincing herself. "But something's wrong."
"It's all gone," Juno murmured, her eyes still on Titus.
Titus made his way to the centre of the gathering and Juno's stomach twisted. Her wolf became restless. Her instincts were screaming at her to do something, but what? Her mind was buzzing with a thousand questions, none of which had answers.
"He doesn't belong here," Juno said quietly.
Gudrun stepped closer. "Maybe. But the elders let him. We have to trust their decision."
Juno clenched her fists. "I don't trust anyone I can't read.
The ritual began. The pack chanted in low, ancient tones; the air filled with the energy of the moon. Jun's eyes flicked to Titus again, her wolf shifting within her in agitation. He stood motionless with his eyes closed, but Juno could feel something moving around him, like shadows that didn't belong.
She caught him watching her, just for a second. His gaze pierced her and her breath hitched. Something tugged at her—something she couldn't name. Attraction? No, it was darker. Deeper. Hazardous.
"He's following you," Helga whispered.
"I know," Juno replied, her throat dry.
Her wolf growled softly in the back of her mind.
"I don't like it," Juno admitted more to herself than anyone else. "I don't like him."
Helga's eyes followed Jun's gaze. "Then don't trust him."
Juno took a sharp breath and her chest tightened. There was no reason for her to feel that way. Not about a stranger. But her instincts had never failed her before. And now they were shouting.
"Something's wrong with him," Juno said softly, her voice barely above a whisper. "I can feel it.
"You always feel something," Gudrun replied, trying to ease the tension.
"This is different.
The chanting grew louder and filled the air with tension. The pack circled tighter around the centre; their wolves restless under the full moon. Juno felt the pull of the moon calling her. But tonight was bad. Twisted.
Her eyes returned to Titus. He didn't move, but his presence weighed on her like a weight. Too heavy. Too close.
"What do you want from us?" Juno muttered under her breath; her eyes still fixed on him.
Her thoughts were spinning. what was he doing here Rogue never appeared for no reason and this one appeared on a full moon. Bad sign.
The ceremony was drawing to a close, but the weight of Tito's presence remained. As the pack began to part, Juno stood frozen looking at him, her body tense. She felt him watching her too. His eyes burned into hers and for a moment she swore she saw a strange, glowing hue flash in them.
Her heart was pounding. "What the hell?" she whispered and stepped back.
"Juno?" Gudrun's voice broke her concentration.
"What's going on?" Helga asked as she noticed the tension in her sister.
"His eyes," Juno murmured, barely able to speak. "They are—different.
Gudrun followed Jun's gaze, but Titus had already disappeared into the crowd.
"What do you mean?" she asked with a frown.
Juno shook her head. "I don't know. But something's wrong. I don't trust him."
Helga frowned with her arms crossed. "You don't have to trust him. Just keep your distance."
"No," Juno replied, her voice sharper than she intended. "He's dangerous.
Her wolf was pacing inside her again, growling softly. Juno felt it too, a pull she couldn't explain. And a warning she couldn't ignore.
As the night deepened, the pack began to retreat to their homes, but Juno remained, her eyes scanning the tree line for any sign of Tito. The moonlight seemed sharper tonight, casting long, eerie shadows across the land.
Suddenly Juno felt a presence behind her. She turned, her heart pounding. Titus stood only a few feet away, his dark eyes unreadable.
"You're not afraid, are you?" he asked in a low, almost mocking voice.
Juno straightened and met his gaze. "None. But I don't believe you."
Titus smiled a slow, dangerous smile. "Good."
Juno's stomach twisted again, but she didn't show it. "What do you want?"
Titus stepped closer, his eyes flashing that strange glow again. "Maybe the same thing you do."
Juno's wolf growled low in her chest. As Titus leaned in, moonlight reflected in his eyes, his voice was a whisper.
"Or maybe something else entirely.
Her heart pounded in her chest, but she stood her ground. "Stay away from my pack.
Titus' smile widened. "We'll see."
With that he turned and left, disappearing into the shadows again.
Juno stared after him, her mind racing, her wolf restless. Whoever Titus was, he wasn't just a tramp passing through.
"Juno?" Helga's voice came from behind her.
Juno turned, her thoughts still on the stranger. "Yeah?"
"What now?" Helga asked with worried eyes.
Juno looked back to the trees where Titus had disappeared. "We're keeping an eye on him.
Helga nodded, but Juno could feel the tension building. Something was coming and it was just beginning
