He was her strength, in every way.
After finishing, Charlotte washed herself using the small jug of water they kept nearby and reached for the tissue.
The whole process took slightly longer than usual, her movements were slower these days, but Arthur didn't rush her nor become impatient.
"I- I'm Done."
Once she was done, Arthur helped her up again, supporting her as they washed their hands together at the tiny sink.
His hands held hers gently as he helped her clean it.
It was a small act, they'd repeated countless times.
"Ready?" he asked quietly, his voice soft as he turned back to her.
She nodded, her cheeks slightly flushed, but her smile small and grateful.
"Yeah, thank you."
Arthur bent down again and carefully lifted her into his arms.
Charlotte's hands wrapped around his neck once more, her face resting against his shoulder as he carried her back to the living room.
