My hands shook as I held the communicator in my hands. This was it; I had finally made it.
Carefully grasping it between my hands, I turned it on and began tinkering through its controls.
I can make phone calls with this thing, right? I questioned myself while inputting a familiar number inside. Once ensuring that I hadn't made any mistakes, I pressed the call.
A ringing sound resounded through the line until, finally, someone picked up.
"Who is this?" A gruff voice came from the other side, causing a sense of relief to wash over my body.
"It's me, Uncle Mordek," I answered in a somewhat raspy voice. "I don't exactly know where I am, but can you come pick me up?"
Once I had finished the call with Uncle Mordek, I ordered Wraith and Primarch to set up the tent. It was going to take a while for them to track down my exact coordinates, much less come here to get me. It was best if I made myself comfortable.
