Chapter 28 - Second Chance: Little Devil Again

As the sun set over the ocean, they set up camp and the stars began to fill the sky. They built a small fire, roasting marshmallows and telling stories under the stars.

As they sat together, their daughters snuggled up between them, they felt a sense of peace and happiness that had been missing from their lives for far too long.

Sebastian felt his heart swell with love as he watched Sofia laugh and smile, the sound of her laughter filling him with joy. As the night grew later, the fire began to die down, casting a soft, warm light over the beach. Myra and Faye fell asleep, their small bodies curled up against Sofia and Sebastian.

Sofia looked over at Sebastian, his eyes were closed, she stood up quietly, stepped out of the tent, took a bottle of red wine and walked to the beach. As Sofia walked across the cool sand, the gentle sound of the waves crashing on the shore soothed her frayed nerves. She sat down on a nearby rock, watching the moonlight dance across the water.

Sofia opened the bottle and poured herself a glass, savouring the rich, earthy taste of the wine as she watched the stars twinkle in the night sky. She felt a sense of peace wash over her as she sipped her wine, her mind swirling with thoughts of the day's event. She loved how happy the girls were. The more Sofia thought about the day, the more she found herself smiling. Seeing the joy on Faye and Myra's faces filled her heart with warmth. She couldn't deny that it was special, seeing Sebastian and their daughters bonding.

Sofia's thoughts shifted to the moments she had shared with Sebastian that night. His soft touch, his gentle words, the way he looked at her with such love and admiration—it all felt so real and true.

But she knew that trust and love were not something that could be rebuilt overnight.

Sofia: No you can think of him ( she said to herself )

She poured herself another glass over and over again until she was halfway drunk

Sofia: For once I don't need to be sober ( she laughs)

Sofia laughed, the sound echoing across the beach as she tilted her head back and stared up at the stars.

Sofia: I don't need to be sober!

She repeated, her voice rising in volume as she finished the bottle of wine.

Suddenly, Sofia realized that she had been shouting and quickly covered her mouth, her face flushed with embarrassment.

Sofia: Oh no!

She whispered, her eyes wide as she looked around, worried that someone had heard her.

Just as she was about to walk back to the tent, she felt a hand on her shoulder.

Sofia turned around to find Sebastian standing behind her, a smile on his face as he gazed down at her.

Sebastian: Are you okay? ( he asked, his voice filled with concern as he gently touched her shoulder ). I heard you shouting from the tent.

Sofia felt her heart race as she looked up at Sebastian, his handsome face glowing in the moonlight. She quickly looked down, her face flushing with embarrassment as she muttered a response.

Sofia: I'm fine. Just…enjoying the beach. ( she laughs) The beach is beautiful, isn't it? ( her words slurring together as she smiled up at Sebastian ). I love the sound of the waves and the stars in the sky. It's just so…so…beautiful.

Sebastian couldn't help but smile, a small chuckle escaping his lips as he watched Sofia's eyes flutter and her head spin.

Sebastian: It is beautiful, ( he said, his voice tender and soothing as he sat down next to her ). And it …And it's even more beautiful when I'm with you, ( his voice soft and gentle as he reached out to take Sofia's hand ).

Sofia: You know, life without you was boring ( her head was spinning ) I cried a lot but I didn't let my mom know because she would try to fix it but something couldn't be fixed, so In the shower ( she laughed ). I was running a company all by myself and pregnant, it was hard you know. One time I imagined you around me it helped I was getting used to it but I realized I was hurting myself more, and then I started hating you more than I moved you. I could eat and the little I did I couldn't keep it down, one time I was having ice cream and my mom took a spoonful of my ice cream I started crying, it was crazy ( laughed ). Another was when I left sleeping on the floor because it was more comfortable than the bed. A lot of crazy things I did when I was pregnant.

Sebastian listened intently, his heart breaking as Sofia shared her experiences from the past.

Sebastian: I'm so sorry that you had to go through all of that alone, I wish I had been there for you, to hold you and support you through it all. But I can't change the past.

Sofia: And you what was life for you when I was gone

Sebastian took a deep breath, his mind flooded with memories of the past as he tried to find the right words to express himself.

Sebastian: It was…empty, ( he said, his voice filled with regret as he shook his head ) I tried to distract myself with work, but every day was like a nightmare. I couldn't focus on anything, and I felt like there was a hole in my heart that would never heal. I thought that I could move on, but I was wrong. I needed you, Sofia. I needed you and the girls more than anything in the world. That's why I never stopped looking for you

Sofia: Have forgave you long ago Sebastian, when I saw you I didn't expect to and I didn't know how to face you it what to say, there was a part of anger in me that needed to face you and pour all the frustration on you

Sebastian: I understand, I know that I deserve all of that anger, and I hurt you in ways that I can never make up for. But I want to try. I want to make things right. I want us to be a family ( he continued, his voice filled with hope and determination as he looked into Sofia's eyes ). I want us to forgive each other and start over.

Sofia looked at Sebastian, her eyes shining with love and admiration as she leaned in to kiss him. The kiss was soft and tender, their lips brushing against each other as the sound of the waves crashed around them.

Sofia: Not bad

Sebastian smiled as he pulled away from the kiss, his heart racing as he looked into Sofia's eyes.

Sebastian: Not bad at all, ( he whispered, his voice filled with humour as he stroked her cheek ). But I think we should probably get some sleep. You've had a lot of wine, and I think the kids are starting to stir.

Sofia laughed, her head still spinning as she leaned against Sebastian's shoulder.

Sofia: You're right, ( he said, her voice sleepy and slurred )

As they pulled away, Sofia leaned back against the rock, her eyes heavy with sleep as she looked up at the stars.

Sebastian: Can you walk back to the house

Sofia: I will try not to pass out

Sebastian laughed as he gently lifted Sofia to her feet, supporting her as she swayed on her feet.

Sebastian: I think we should probably get you to bed ( he said, his voice filled with amusement as he helped her back towards the tent ).

Sofia stumbled as she walked, her legs feeling weak and unsteady as she leaned against Sebastian.

Sofia: I think I'm going to be sick, ( she said, her voice slurred as she leaned over and vomited on the sand )

Sebastian: Whoa!

Sebastian exclaimed, catching Sofia as she collapsed to the ground, her face pale and clammy as she clutched her stomach. "

Sebastian: Are you okay?

Sofia groaned, her eyes closed as she leaned against Sebastian's chest.

Sofia: I think so ( she said, her voice weak and trembling as she tried to sit up ) I just need a minute to catch my breath

Sebastian: Wait here I get the girls and we go immediately okay

Sofia: Okay

Sebastian quickly scooped up the girls, one in each arm, as he carried them out of the tent. Sofia stumbled behind him, her feet shuffling against the sand as they made their way back towards the mansion. The walk back to the mansion was not an easy one

As they approached the mansion, Sebastian quickly opened the door and carried the girls into the foyer. He set them down gently on the sofa, looking at Sofia as she collapsed into a nearby armchair.

Sebastian: Sofia? ( he asked, his voice filled with concern as he knelt in front of her ). Are you sure you're okay?

Sofia nodded, her eyes closed as she tried to catch her breath.

Sofia: I just need a few minutes

She said, her voice shaky as she reached out to squeeze Sebastian

Sebastian: Wait here I will put the kids to bed and come get you okay

Sebastian gently kissed Sofia's forehead before standing up and walking towards the staircase.

Sebastian: Come on, girls, ( he said, his voice soft and gentle as he picked up the girls ). Let's get you to bed.

The girls yawned, their small bodies heavy in Sebastian's arms as he carried them up the stairs and down the hallway. He gently tucked them into bed, kissing each of their foreheads as they closed their eyes and drifted off to sleep. Sebastian made his way back down the stairs, his footsteps quiet as he approached Sofia's chair. She was sleeping peacefully, her head resting against the back of the chair as she breathed softly.

Sebastian smiled as he looked at her, his heart filled with love and admiration for the strong and beautiful woman that she was. He gently lifted her into his arms, carrying her towards the master bedroom as the moonlight streamed in through the windows. Sebastian gently placed Sofia onto the bed, brushing the hair out of her face as he carefully undressed her and slipped her into a nightgown.

He climbed into bed beside her, wrapping his arms around her as he pulled her close. He closed his eyes, feeling a sense of peace and contentment as he drifted off to sleep, his thoughts filled with love for Sofia and his daughters.

As he slept, the ocean waves crashed against the shore outside, the sound of the water lulling him into a deep and peaceful slumber.

The next morning, Sofia awoke to the sound of laughter and the smell of breakfast wafting up the stairs. She opened his eyes, blinking in the sunlight that streamed in through the windows as she looked down at Sebastian.

Sebastian: Good morning, ( he whispered, her eyes sparkling as she smiled up at him ). Did you sleep well?

She nodded, his heart fluttering as she looked at him

Sofia: I did, ( she said, her voice soft ) How much did I drink last night

Sebastian: A lot… Your head aches?

Sofia: hm hm ( she nods )

Sebastian: Take it ) he hands over a hangover pills )

Sofia smiled as she accepted the pill, swallowing it with a gulp of water. She leaned against Sebastian, her eyes closed as she sighed softly.

Sofia: Thank you, ( she whispered, her voice filled with gratitude )

Sebastian smiled, his heart swelling with love as he pulled her even closer.

Sebastian: Anything for you, ( he said, his voice filled with affection as he stroked her hair )

Sofia's expression shifted

Sofia: Where are Faye and Myra? ( she asked, her voice quiet as she sat up in bed ). I don't want them to see me like this.

Sebastian smiled reassuringly, his eyes filled with warmth as he leaned in to kiss her.

Sebastian: Don't worry, ( he said, his voice soothing as he stroked her hair ). I told them Mommy and Daddy needed some time alone and they agreed

Sofia: Oh okay about yesterday

Sebastian: Do change your mind sofia please

Sofia: I wasn't, wanted to say I did enjoy every bit of it

Sebastian's heart swelled with joy, his face breaking into a smile as he pulled her close.

Sebastian: I'm glad you enjoyed it, ( he said, his voice filled with sincerity as he kissed her ). I just want to make you happy, Sofia.

Sofia nodded, her eyes filled with love as she leaned in to kiss him.

Sofia: But another thing have to go back, I have a company to run and have never stayed away this long. It's almost a week and you took my phone away, am guessing I have a lot of missed calls

Sebastian: I was just making sure you won't run away

Sofia: I could if I wanted but choose not to

Sebastian smiled, his heart racing as he looked at Sofia.

Sebastian: I'm sorry, ( he said, his voice filled with regret as he walked to the safe opened it and handed her phone back ) I just didn't want to lose you again.

Sofia smiled, her eyes shining with affection as she took the phone from him.

Sofia: I understand, ( she said, her voice gentle as she touched his face ). But we have to leave tomorrow

Sebastian nodded, a hint of sadness in his eyes as he looked at Sofia

Sebastian: I know, ( he said, his voice quiet as he stroked her hair ). But I'm glad we had this time together. I will send you back myself

Sofia: Okay sure but I have to shower before eating I smell like baby poop

Sebastian laughed, his eyes dancing with amusement as he helped Sofia out of bed.

Sebastian: Well, we can't have that, ( he said, his voice filled with humour as he opened the door to the en suite bathroom ). Go ahead and shower. I'll make sure the girls are okay.

Sofia: Thank you ( she whispered, her voice sweet as she stepped into the bathroom ).

**************************************************

Evening

In the bedroom, Sofia stepped out of the shower, her hair wrapped in a towel as she brushed her teeth. She pulled on a pair of silk pyjamas gown, her skin still warm from the hot water as she sat down at the vanity to dry her hair.

Sebastian walked into the room, his face clean-shaven as he pulled on a pair of pyjama pants. He leaned against the doorframe, his eyes twinkling with mischief as he looked at Sofia.

Sebastian: Hey, ( he said, his voice playful as he watched her dry her hair )

Sofia smiled as she looked at Sebastian, her heart racing as she set down the hair dryer.

Sofia: Hey ( she said ) What are you up to?

Sebastian smiled, as he walked close to her his eyes shining with desire as he wrapped his arms around her waist.

Sebastian: Oh, nothing much, ( he said, his voice husky as he leaned in to kiss her ).

Sofia melted into Sebastian's arms, her hands tangling in his hair as their lips met in a slow, passionate kiss. She could feel his hands running down her back, his fingers tracing the lines of her spine as he pulled her closer to him.

Sofia sighed, her body trembling with desire as she pulled away from the kiss, her eyes locking with Sebastian's as she spoke.

Sofia: I love you, ( she said, her voice hushed and filled with emotion ).

She did not know when the word felt her mouth

Sebastian: I thought you said just co-parent nothing more ( he teased her )

Sofia: It's not too late to go back on it ( she pulls out almost walking away when he pulls her back )

Sebastian smiled, his eyes twinkling with love as he pulled her back into his arms, wrapping his arms around her waist.

Sebastian: You can't get rid of me that easily (he said, his voice teasing as he leaned in to kiss her ). You're stuck with me now.

Sofia smiled, her heart fluttering as she leaned into him, her arms wrapped around his shoulders as she kissed him deeply.

Sofia: I guess I am, ( she whispered, her voice hushed as she pulled away from the kiss ).

Sebastian picked Sofia up, his arms strong as he carried her towards the bed. She giggled as he tossed her onto the mattress, her body bouncing as she laughed, her eyes filled with love and affection.

Sofia: You're crazy ( she said, her voice playful as she reached out to pull him towards her ).

Sebastian smiled, his eyes shining with love as he climbed onto the bed, his body pressing against hers as he leaned in to kiss her.

Sebastian: Maybe a little, ( he whispered, his voice husky as he kissed her neck ).

Sofia sighed, her body arching against Sebastian's as she kissed him back. His hands ran down her body, his fingers tracing the lines of her curves as he pulled her closer.

Sebastian: I miss you ( he whispered, his voice filled with emotion as he kissed her forehead )

Sofia smiled, her eyes closing as she leaned into him.

Sofia: I miss you too ( she said, her voice hushed and filled with desire as she wrapped her arms around him ) More than you know.

Sebastian smiled, his heart fluttering as he held Sofia close. He could feel the warmth of her body against his, her breath on his skin as she leaned into him.

Sofia: I don't want to let you go ( she whispered,  as he kissed her neck )

Sofia sighed, her hands running down Sebastian's back as she pressed her body against his.

Sebastian: Then don't ( he said, his voice filled with desire as she kissed him deeply ). Stay with me.

Sebastian's lips trailed down Sofia's neck, his hands exploring her body as he moved lower, his lips tracing the lines of her curves as he kissed her breasts.

She sighed, her body arching against his as he kissed her stomach, his hands running up her legs as he moved between them.

Sebastian's tongue flicked against her clit, his hands grasping her hips as he licked and sucked, his mouth teasing and pleasing her as she moaned with pleasure. Sofia gasped, her fingers tangling in Sebastian's hair as he pleasured her, his tongue running circles around her clit as he teased her with his fingers.

Sofia: Oh god

She moaned, her body trembling with desire as Sebastian moved faster, his tongue flicking against her clit as his fingers explored her wetness.

Sofia arched her back, her body shuddering as she cried out in pleasure, her eyes rolling back in her head as she climaxed, her body shaking with pleasure as Sebastian lapped up her juices, savouring the taste of her.

Just then the door opened Faye and Myra walked in. Sofia's eyes widened in shock as she heard the door open, her heart pounding in her chest as she pushed Sebastian away, grabbing the sheets to cover herself. Faye and Myra stood in the doorway, their eyes wide with surprise as they stared at their parents, their faces turning red with embarrassment.

Faye: Mommy?

Faye asked, her voice quiet and shocked as she looked at Sofia, her eyes filled with confusion.

Sofia: What are you doing here?

Sofia asked, her voice sharp with surprise as she scrambled to pull the sheets up over her chest.

Myra: We want to sleep with you and Daddy

Sofia: I see, ( her voice still tense as she looked at her daughters ). Well, you can't sleep with us. It's too late for that now.

Faye and Myra looked at each other, their faces falling in disappointment as they realized they wouldn't be able to sleep with their parents.

Myra: But we wanted to, ( her voice quiet as she looked at Sofia, her eyes filled with sadness )

Faye: it's our late night with Daddy and we want to be with him

Sebastian: It's okay the bed is big for four

Sofia sighed, her face still flushed with embarrassment as she looked at her daughters.

Sofia: Alright ( she said, her voice softening as she motioned for the girls to climb into the bed ). But this is a one-time thing. Understand?

Faye and Myra nodded, their faces brightening with excitement as they climbed into the bed, snuggling up to their parents as they settled down for the night.

Myra: Thank you, Mommy,

Myra whispered, her voice filled with gratitude as she snuggled into Sofia

Faye: Daddy will you stay we us

Sebastian: Daddy would love to but Daddy have a better plan

Faye: What plan

Sebastian: We start anew, go back to the country your mother and I met

Myra: Really ( her eyes lit up )

Sebastian: Yes ( he looks at Sofia)

Faye: What about grandma

Sofia: Grandma will look after the company in Germany but will visit every month and we visit her too

Myra: But I want grandma to stay with us

Faye: me too she will be lonely

Sebastian: Okay your grandma will come with us

Sofia: Problem solve

Myra: Will you see Grandma tomorrow?

Sofia: Not soon I will have to talk with her first okay

Sebastian: You too go to bed okay

Faye/Myra: Yes Daddy. Good night

With the girls finally settled down, Sofia and Sebastian turned off the lights and snuggled up together in the bed, the soft glow of the moon casting shadows on the walls.

Sebastian kissed Sofia softly, his arms wrapped around her waist as he whispered in her ear.

Sebastian: I'm sorry about earlier, ( he said, his voice filled with regret as he kissed her ). I didn't mean to embarrass you.

Sofia smiled, her face flushing with pleasure as she kissed him back.

Sofia: It's okay, ( she whispered, her voice hushed as she kissed him again ). I'm just not used to being so…exposed.

Sebastian chuckled, his hands running down her back as he pulled her closer.

Sebastian: I think you're beautiful, ( he said, his voice filled with affection as he kissed her neck ). I'm so lucky to have you in my life.

Sofia sighed, her body trembling with pleasure as she ran her fingers through his hairline

Sofia leaned in to kiss Sebastian, her lips lingering against his as she whispered in his ear.

Sofia: I love you, ( she said, her voice hushed and filled with emotion as she stroked his cheek ). I've never been so happy.

Sebastian smiled, his heart racing as he pulled her close, his hands running over her body as he kissed her deeply.

Sebastian: I love you too, ( he whispered, his voice filled with emotion as he looked into her eyes ). You're everything to me.
