Three days passed, and Faye and Myra were growing impatient. They had planned a special surprise for their parents, a picnic on the beach complete with sandwiches, cake, and games to play.
As they stood by the door, the girls whispered to each other, their excitement growing as they thought about the surprise.
Faye: Do you think Mommy and Daddy will like it?
Mrya: It should we put a lot of effort into this, I even baked a cake ( she said in her childish voice )
As they knock on the door it wastes no time before it opens
Sebastian: What are my ladies doing here, you want something
Myra: We have a little surprise for you and Mommy
Faye: Where is Mommy ( she pokes her small face out and looks around the room )
Sebastian: Your mother and I are still working things out. Mommy is staying in her room for now
Faye: Why is it because of what we did
Sebastian: No love. What the surprise ( he changes the topic )
Myra: If we tell you it won't be a surprise. What room is Mommy in, she needs to get ready
Faye: We live by 10
Sebastian: Two-door to the right
Myra nods. Faye ran to find her mom while Myra followed behind her, as she got to the door she stopped and turned to Sebastian
Myra: Daddy you should put on something different like a T-shirt and jeans, No black allowed. Okay
She gave a sweet smile before going to Sofia's room
Sebastian chuckled as he watched Myra run off to find her mother, his heartwarming with love as he thought about her request.
He quickly walked into the closet looking for what to wear. He's not used to being controlled around by a little woman and now he has two of them, more like three. He took out sky-blue jeans an ash T-shirt and a pair of pams, looking casual. Myra ran back to the room, as Sebastian walked out of the walk-in closet
Sebastian: How do I look
Myra: Hm not bad
Sebastian: I have to get used to all this, this is only what I can find that's not black
Myra: It's okay you still look handsome ( she gave a thumbs up ) Mommy is already at the beach Let's go.
Sebastian grinned as he followed Myra down to the beach, his heart filled with pride as he thought about his daughter's sweet compliment.
Sebastian and Myra walked hand in hand towards the beach, their footsteps light and playful as they listened to the sound of the waves crashing against the shore.
As they approached the picnic blanket, Sebastian smiled as he watched Sofia and Faye sitting watching the ocean, his heart swelling with love as he saw the surprise that his daughters had prepared.
Sebastian: It's beautiful, ( he said, looking at the food and decorations )
Faye: What took you guys so long I was getting hungry already
Sebastian: I'm sorry, someone has short legs and can't walk fast
Myra: You just blaming it on me
Sebastian: You look beautiful ( turn to Sofia )
She gave a small smile
Sofia: Thank you
As Sebastian, Myra, and Sofia sat together on the beach, the sound of the waves crashing against the shore filled the air, creating a peaceful and romantic atmosphere. Sofia watched Sebastian, her heart fluttering as he interacted with their daughters. She could feel her feelings for him starting to stir, but she tried her best to push them down, afraid of being hurt again.
Sebastian: Girls, ( turning to his daughters ). Why don't you go for a walk and explore the beach? Mommy and I can have some alone time.
Myra and Faye looked at each other, their eyes twinkling with excitement as they grinned and nodded, eager to help their parents.
Faye: Yes, Daddy! ( her voice filled with delight as she stood up ).
Myra took Faye's hand, leading her sister down the beach as they started to explore.
Sofia watched them go, her heart filled with love and admiration for her children. When she turned back to Sebastian, she saw him smiling at her, his eyes filled with warmth and adoration.
As Myra and Faye wandered off down the beach, collecting seashells and running in the waves, Sofia turned to Sebastian, her heart beating fast in her chest.
Sofia: It's beautiful out here ( she said, her voice quiet and reserved as she avoided his gaze ). The girls worked hard on it.
Sebastian smiled gently, his eyes never leaving Sofia's face.
Sebastian: They work themself out, Myra baked a cake
Sofia: Don't eat it if you want to live
Sebastian chuckled, a small smile playing on his lips as he shook his head.
Sebastian: Oh, come on, it can't be that bad
Sofia couldn't help but laugh, a warm smile spreading across her face as she playfully rolled her eyes at Sebastian.
Sofia: I guess you'll have to find out for yourself, ( she said, a small smile on her lips as she reached out to take a piece of cake ).
Sebastian: thank you ( he took it and had a bite ) oh
Sofia: I told you. How's your wrist
Sebastian: it is okay thank you
As the sun began to set, casting a golden glow across the beach, Sofia and Sebastian sat together, their laughter and conversation filling the air. They talked about Faye and Myra, sharing stories and memories as they enjoyed the beautiful evening.
Sebastian: You want a glass of wine
Sofia: Yes, please
Sebastian poured two glasses of wine, the deep red liquid glinting in the setting sun as he handed one to Sofia.
Sofia: I know running away was not a smart idea but I had to at that point, I had to do what was best for me. But I don't want to let my girl suffer because of this, I want them to have a father in their life. Growing up with a man around is heartwarming and I don't want to take that away from them. I don't want to be selfish, but how about co-parent that is the final offer I can give for the sake of my babies
Sebastian listened to Sofia, his heart filled with empathy and understanding as he took in her words. He reached out to take her hand, his fingers gently intertwining with hers.
Sebastian: Sofia, ( he said, his voice low and tender as he looked into her eyes ). I know I let you down. I let you and the girls down in so many ways, and I'll never be able to make up for that. But I want to try. I want to be the man you and the girls deserve. I want us to be a family again. I know it won't be easy. It's going to take time and a lot of hard work, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes to prove to you that I've changed. I want to be the husband and father that you and the girls need me to be.
Sofia bit her lip, her eyes filling with tears as she listened to Sebastian's words.
Sebastian gently wiped away the tears that had begun to roll down Sofia's cheeks, his voice gentle and reassuring as he spoke.
Sebastian: I love you, Sofia, and I love Faye and Myra more than anything in this world. I want us to be a family again, no matter what it takes.
Sofia: Sebastian you don't understand, a broken heart is hard to fix. I don't have any love for you
Sebastian's heart sank as Sofia's words echoed in his mind, the realization of her feelings hitting him like a punch to the gut. He dropped his gaze, his hands falling into his lap as he struggled to find the right words.
Sebastian: I know, ( he whispered, his voice barely audible as he looked out over the ocean ). But I have to try. I have to try to make things right. I can't just give up on us.
Sofia watched Sebastian, her heart aching as she saw the pain and desperation in his eyes. She reached out to take his hand, her own trembling slightly as she spoke.
Sofia: I don't know if I can forgive you, Sebastian. But I want to try. For Faye and Myra's sake, I want to try.
Sebastian's eyes snapped up, his heart racing as he looked at Sofia in disbelief.
Sofia: But there will be nothing more than that
Sebastian: As long you are giving me a chance, there is always hope
