"You, fated one, are in The Eastern Continent, on the grounds of The Great Six-Coloured Forest."
"Cut it out with the fated one nonsense. What exactly is The Great Six Coloured Forest?"
"The Great Six-Coloured Forest..... Don't you know what that is?"
"..."
"The Great Six-Coloured Forest..... I'm not someone who's good at geography but I'm good enough to know that that doesn't exist...." Lincoln thought,
"I pride myself on being a rational person. But... this seems just a bit too unbelievable."
Sighing, Lincoln closed his eyes.
"There are two options here... Either, I'm in some place which definitely isn't Earth or, I'm having the drug trip of a lifetime."
"That pain I felt before. All those weird sensations. They weren't fake. They definitely weren't fake."
"And this woman aswell.... She simply seemed to appear in my mind; and that dark.... place aswell."
"I can't believe this, but.... it seems I've been transmigrated."
"How shitty...." Lincoln muttered,
This was complete bullshit. One second he was sleeping in his jail cell, the next second he woke up in some cave surrounded by dead bodies.
"But...."
"Is this actually so bad?"
He still had a good few years before his release and he was already an old man.
Who knew if he would croak before he managed to get out of jail?
"Good thing they only caught me for a 'petty crime'.... If they got me for anything else then I would have been sentenced to death for sure."
Suddenly, he heard leaves rustling behind him.
A small animal rushed out of the grass, it's red fur with white stripes blowing in the gentle forest breeze as it ran into a different part of a forest.
It appeared to be some kind of... small dog? Or a squirrel?
It had ears like those of a dog and a similar face to a golden retriever at that, but it also had a tail like that of a squirrel.
Lincoln was naturally startled by this noise as he turned around.
Seeing the appearance of the tiny animal dashing towards another bush, he relaxed.
Now, staring at this strange sight, he was reminded of another matter.
"It seems I've been too caught up in the fact that I'm in another world and have forgotten the fact that I'm a lone man in a forest, and one with no tools at that."
"Who knows what kind of animals there are in this place? I really have to be careful."
As he thought about his current situation, he once again heard the voice of the woman in his mind.
"The leaves of the six-phased trees are more beautiful than I ever thought they would be. It's been years since I've seen such a thing." She spoke,
"It's no wonder that they were so sought after in the Imperial Era. They seem even more vibrant than they were described in the The Legend Of The Black Star"
"The Legend Of The Black Star?" Lincoln questioned,
"Yes. In one of the earlier chapters of The Legend Of The Black Star..."
The woman spoke as she recalled:
"You truly wish to control my power?" The Nature Devil laughed as it spoke,
"..." Drorr remained silent,
"Alright. Alright. I'll make a contract with you if that is truly what you wish."
"What do you require of me?"
"A certain one of my creations has eluded me for quite some time and I can't quite seem to find it."
"What exactly is this creation?"
"The Folivir Leaves that exist in the place forsaken by the gods, glowing with multiple colours, more beautiful than any maiden. I require a total of a million of them."
"A million...."
And thus, Drorr set off, traveling across the land and the sea, desperately searching for the Place Forsaken By The Gods.
Eventually, he landed upon a small island, far away from any of the major landmasses. It was towards the Eastern Continent.
Soon after he first stepped onto land he noticed people staring at him.
Or more specifically, at his eyes which shone with red and blue, courtesy of his pupils which were coloured strangely.
Drorr looked downwards, hiding his eyes as he walked throughout the island.
Eventually, after eating a meal and eventually walking away from the city, he heard a voice.
"Your eyes. They look almost like the Folivir Leaves...."
Drorr looked around, attempting to find the source of the voice, eventually discovering that it was the voice of a Gold-Feathered Sparrow.
"The Folivir Leaves?!" Drorr recalled,
He immediately questioned the sparrow:
"The Folivir Leaves! Where are they?!"
"Folivir-Eyed, they are simply a few hundred steps from the city towards North."
"Thank you, Golden Sparrow! I am truly indebted."
Soon enough, after traversing the few hundred steps, Drorr discovered a dense forest full of Folivir Trees.
There were surely over a million leaves here.
Filled with joy, he requested the people of the city there to help him obtain the Folivir Leaves which he required.
At first they refused but after using certain.... 'methods' to convince them, they agreed to help him.
And thus, he gathered every single leaf that he found and stored them using a spacial artifact.
And thus, he sailed back to the place where he once stood, talking to the Nature Devil.
Then, he had a young and boyish face with black hair but now?
He had already grown a few grey hairs on that head of his. It had been years since the contract had been made but he still kept to it, knowing the consequences of not doing so.
"I've upheld my end of the deal. I suggest that you uphold yours."
The Nature Devil snatched the spatial ring from the boy before looking inside.
Promptly, The Nature Devil spoke:
"These aren't enough. There are only 999,999 leaves."
"I gathered every single one that I found! The entire island was wiped clean. You-yourself stated that that island was the only place where those leaves existed!" Drorr shouted, outraged,
"And I spoke correctly, there are only 999,999 leaves in existence." The Nature Devil replied,
"You mean to tell me that you gave me an impossible task? I hope you're aware of the consequences of this....."
"Foolish boy. The task isn't impossible at all."
"..." Drorr remained quiet as he was deep in thought,
Eventually, Drorr's hands reached towards his face, nearing closer and closer to his eyelids as he opened his eyes wide before he directly plucked out his eyes.
"The people on that island. They said that I had eyes like those of The Folivir Leaves. Accept this eye and uphold the contract."
The Nature Devil's disgusting mouth opened as it slowly giggled.
This giggle slowly turned into a maniacal laughter which eventually quieted down.
"Good! Good! I am impressed with your wisdom. You are truly the only one worthy of my power!"
