Tales of a Gay Teenager

Chapter 17: "Special"

School time was over, I met Jordan at the bench and we went through the plan to suprise Kevin with a dinner date. The plan was to send a message and state that "Kevin, Can we talk about something important please" from Jordan.

Jordan: Are you sure this is going to work?

Me: Why wouldn't it work?

Jordan: what if he doesn't see my message, or what if he doesn't show up

Me: Stop being negative and let's go shop for a suit

Jordan: a suit? Seriously?

Me: Yeah

Me and Jordan went all over the town to find a perfect suit for me, But eventually Jordan ditched me to go have fun with his crazy friends whilst I was busy walking across town. I saw this coffee shop and Gabriel and Angela were there. I hid behind and tried to listen to their conversation, Angela got up and kissed Gabriel. I was shocked, I quickly went away. I had flashbacks about the kiss, I was thinking if should I tell my mother or keep it to myself.

7:00pm, I was an hour earlier than Kevin. I sat in the restaurant and ordered only a small drink. I was wearing a modern Black suit, with white sneakers and no tie. My hair was slightly combed and greased, I was neat for once in my life. I spent two hours scrolling through my phone until a waiter approached me

Waiter: Would you like to get anything else sir?

Me: No thank you, Iam fine. Iam just waiting for someone

Waiter: The restaurant is closing in the next hour sir

Me: Okay, thanks

10:43pm, I got tired. I left Kevin 53 missed calls, and 77 messages. I felt tears coming down my cheeks, as I now know that Kevin won't come to the restaurant. I sent Jordan a voice not saying "Jordan, I can't do this with Kevin anymore. I sat here in this restaurant like a fool, waiting for someone who I thought would come to his senses and hear me out. Iam done, Jordan"

I packed my stuff and as I was about to go, someone appeared behind me. He had a lovely scent and a deep voice, it was...Tom

Tom: Hey there
