Chapter 13 - Death

Bursting a zombie head with my hands, I can't help but think of the group.

"(Did they reach the villa? Is everyone alright? Is Yuuki fine? I kinda want to go there and check it. And I would if it was just me and Yuuki but then there's seven other women, and, as the only man, it smells like huge trouble. Most men may think having a huge harem is nice and all but they forget that you have to manage your time with lots of girls or else they'll get jealous and fight either you or others. In other words, it's so fucking annoying. Guess I won't go there, don't want that kind of trouble for myself. At least for now. First I gotta prepare myself mentally then I'll think about it.) "

Seto quickly comes and grabs the zombie's loot, a red orb, before putting it away in the travel bag, the one she and the officers were using to gather supplies. She curiously looks at me.

Seto: "What's bothering you?"

Looking at her, I shake the blood of my hands.

"My sexfriend. I'm a little worried about her. It's been a week since I've seen her and I don't know if she's doing well. At least she's with some schoolmates so she should be fine. I think."

She frowns a little.

Seto: "Sexfriend? I remember you said you were a student, an exchange student. Even though you don't look like it, aren't you too young for that?"

I look at her weirdly.

"Are you really in position to say that? Weren't you trying to seduce me, like, minutes ago?"

She freezes.

Seto: "Well... Can't argue with that. But even so, I thought you were going to kill me, or rather, leave me behind, which is the same."

I shrug.

"You're more useful alive."

She comes closer.

Seto: "I'm curious. Aren't you feeling guilty or anything?"

Shaking my head, I continue to walk.

"Does that matter? They're dead. I killed them. (Even I am surprised by how well I took that. Guess I was right, I have a few loose screws)."

She follows after me while resting the bag on her shoulder.

Seto: "Well, you didn't need to."

I smile.

"Are you serious? What would be of me if I couldn't dodge the lightning or endure that immense water ball attack? I'd be dead. Like really dead. I agree no one should've died but if they were willing to kill an innocent over nothing then they should be ready to die."

Looking at her, I see she's considering my words. She looks a little sad.

Seto: "You're right... I guess. It's a pity, they were good people."

I smile wryly.

"They should be in Heaven now, or whatever they believed to be Heaven."

I look at her.

"One mistake can cost you your life. That were the theirs. How about you? Are you going to make the same mistake? (She did say she'd do whatever I told her but she could have made that up just to convince me)."

She looks back at me.

Seto: "Never. I'll do my best to satisfy any of your desires. All I can ask for, in return, is safety and food. Nothing more, nothing less. And it is much safer near a level 7 like you than near anyone else, since the strongest I've seen is level 3."

I nod.

"Alright. That's pretty reasonable price for a slave. I'll keep you, for now. Let's see how you fair and if I'll like it."

She walks up in front of me, forcing me to stop, and makes a perfect bow. Her tits shakes heavily.

Seto: "Thank you very much, Master!"

I wince and feel goosebumps.

" Quit that. Just call me Anthony. Or Tony if you'd like."

She straightens her back and smiles.

Seto: "Alright, Tony."

We resume walking and I continue wiping out zombies after zombies with my hands, to which I can see that Seto is amazed by it. The further we go into the city's center, the more zombies and destruction we find. Destroyed cars, flaming buildings, bloodstains, and rotting zombie corpses fills the streets. Seto looks at me like I'm some weird animal, I remember she said that the people who took a single orb almost died trying to resist it but I'm here, stuffing myself full of red and green orbs as they appear while keeping the superpower orbs and the jerkies in the bag. No wonder she looks at me like that.

"(Seems like I'm getting stronger at a steady pace, zombies are getting even easier to take care of. But it's a pity how the orbs effects grew weaker, I can barely feel them.)"

Peeking from a corner, I see dozens of inert zombies in the middle of the street just waiting. This is quite a common sight considering I've seen it quite a lot on my way here, however, I open my eyes wide when I see that standing in the middle of the zombies is a super zombie. It's a zombie that is twice as tall as other zombies and has oversized arms and upper body. His muscles have grown so much he looks like a massive flesh wall with a small head poking out from the thick neck muscles. His arms are so big they touch the ground and he support himself using them like a gorilla, probably because his lower body is significantly less muscular than his upper body. That zombie is weirdly familiar to me.

" What the..."

Seto pokes her head out and also open her eyes wide before hiding behind the corner.

Seto: " Shit. A Tank. C'mon, let's go somewhere else, that guy's gonna kill us if we do anything."

I hear her words and memories resurface my mind, I remember why that zombie was familiar.

"(Left 4 Dead's Tank. That guy's exactly like the game's special zombie. Though he's taller.)"

I look at her after also hiding behind the corner.

" Tank... Who came up with the names?"

Seto looks back at me.

Seto: " A guy back at the mall, he said it's from a game he used to play. Anyway, we have to get out of here. I know you're strong but that guy is on a whole 'nother levdl. I saw him killing level 3s with a sway of his hand, like killing flies."

I peek from the corner at the zombies.

" It would be fun to talk to the guy you spoke about. But worry not, it doesn't sound like something I can't deal with, besides I have a trick up my sleeve if things get ugly."

Walking out, I step into the street and head at the zombies. They tremble and quiver while remaining in place as I approach them. The zombies oppose no threat to me as they simply can't harm me, not with their nails nor with their teeth, however, the super zombie, the Tank, is a different matter. I don't know how strong he is nor how fast he can move. The description isn't any different from the other zombies, it's as if he is just a normal zombie when he clearly isn't. I look at my hand.

"(Should I go all out and burn everything? Nah, I can do it without that. That zombie shouldn't be that strong.)"

Clenching my fist, I run and punch multiple times, destroying the head of many zombies before getting close to the Tank zombie. Once I get near it, I jump high and smash my fist against his head. I get surprised as it feels like I just hit a wall.

"(He's tough!)"

The Tank zombie awakens and moves, he swings his arm at me.

Tank: "."

He moves so fast I almost can't see it and I barely can lift my arm to defend myself.

"(Shit!)"

His arm strikes me and I feel immense pain as my arm bones and chest bones shatter under the overwhelming pressure. He launches me off, flying to the other side. Rolling on the ground, I support myself on my unbroken arm.

"(Fuck! He's too strong!)"

I don't even have time to comprehend the situation I just got myself in as I lift my head and see the Tank's huge fists crashing down against me.

"(He's already this close?!)"

I roll on the ground and try to dodge it but the fists hits my back, I feel my muscles and bones getting irreparably destroyed. The absurd pain doesn't even faze me but I stop feeling my legs and arms as my spine break in multiple places. I can't even more my neck anymore and my ribs has pierced through my lungs, making almost impossible for me to breathe. The Tank zombie grabs my head and lifts me, I look at his monstrous face as I can feel his hand gripping my head tighter.

"(Is this how I die? No! No! The flames! I got to use the fla-)"

Flames burst from my body but as soon as it does, the Tank zombie clenches his fist and everything suddenly goes dark. I stop feeling my body, I stop feeling pain, I stop feeling anything. It's distressing. I can't think, I can't speak, I can't move. It's like something restricts any kind of movement. After what feels like years but could have been minutes, words come from inside me.

???: "What a pity. You had the power of the sun in the palm of your hands but you wasted it. Not many had such luck, you were promising. But that's what happens when you get too overconfident."

I can't say anything no matter how much I try, it's like I don't have a mouth. I want to talk to it, to ask things to it but I can't. I silently anguish. As I can feel my mind slowly erroding with the passage of time, I suddenly feel a tug that pulls me with overwhelming force, like I'm getting sucked by a vortex where I can't resist. When my mind finally begins to process what is happening, I'm staring at the huge faces of two people, a man and a woman, who are looking at me with eyes and expressions full of intense love and care.

"(Just what the fuck is going on?)"

I look at myself and I see I'm wrapped in a cloth. Lifting my hands, I see a pair of very, very small chubby hands.

"(Huh?!)"
