Chapter 4 - Other Survivors

After handing the Strength Orb to Yuuki so she can put it away, since I don't have any means to, she doesn't understand why but places it under her g-string with a mischievous smile on her face to which I shake my head with a smile and she giggles. We descend the walkway's steps and get to the second floor. Without any option, we enter the administration office building, after all, there should be less zombies in there and it should be easier to reach the main gate. Sometimes we hear screams, rapid movements, maybe from students running from zombies or zombies rushing at students, loud booms and then everything turns silent once again. As we carefully walk through the deathly silent and empty hallways, stained with immense amounts of blood, and reach the nearby staircase, Yuuki tugs on my arm. I look at her and she's gesturing for me to come closer. Leaning, she places her mouth on my ear.

Yuuki: " Baby, what you did earlier was so fucking cool! The flames were floating and it was crazy! How did you do that?!"

I look at her and her eyes are sparkling.

" The treasure box, a small box that appeared in my hand just as everything became chaotic. It gave me something like that marble ball I gave you but its name was Orb of the Living Sun, not Strength Orb like that one."

Yuuki: " Baby, then if I eat the Strength Orb will I get super strong?! Can I eat it? Pretty pleeease?"

" You can. I won't stop you if you really want to but we don't know what'll happen to you if you do. I almost died when I ate mine and I'm not sure if I want to go through that again so feel free to."

She touches her crotch, or where the marble ball is, but then widen her eyes.

Yuuki: " Baby! I just remembered I Ieft my box in the teacher's room!"

I look at her with a face that says: "Really?" And she replies with a bashful smile, basically meaning: "Hehe, my bad."

Yuuki: " I think Kyoko, that bitch, should be the only one in there. At least she was before I rushed to your room."

I look around and see no one.

"(Seems like these zombies doesn't have such great of a hearing sense, not that we're making that much of noise but whispers in utter silence are like bombs exploding, or in this case the dinner bell ringing.) Fine, let's go there. (It sure is worth to check it out and grab that treasure box. I'm curious to know what it'll give us but what I really want to do is to get out of here, test my flames and see what I can do with it, and the quicker we get out of here the sooner I can do that.)"

Grabbing her hand, I change our route and we go up the steps until we get to the third floor. After that, on the way to the teacher's room we run into multiple zombie corpses and this time they are truly dead as their head was sliced off cleanly, we make it to the teacher's room without any trouble. Stopping right in front of the door, I turn to her.

" Someone killed all those zombies. We don't know what can happen. Be careful."

She nods.

Yuuki: " Okay."

I reach for the doorknob but it turns before I can even touch it. The door opens and the first thing I see is someone I know. Standing in front of the doorway is a woman with purple-dyed hair, the captain of the Kendo Club, well-known for her skills, collected personality and absurd beauty: Saeko Busujima. But she is different from before, way too different. She's like a head taller than before, and her arms and legs from the elbows and knees down are covered in black fur ending in over-sized dog paws with long black claws, and a pair of large black dog-like ears protrude from her head and stands tall as if she's on high alert. With her left paw she is grasping a wooden sword, also known as bokken.

"(Mutant: Spontaneously developed animal characteristics, has Strength and Endurance greatly surpassing that of common humans but Speed and Senses are on a whole another level; born from the influence of God. She became a mutant... God's influence is much greater than I thought, they can destroy technology, give treasure boxes, transform people into zombies or mutants... Just how far does their power goes?)"

Saeko looks down at me, her blue eyes scanning me up and down, the fact that I'm almost completely naked, except for a white towel wrapped around my waist, makes me excessively sensitive to her judging eyes. I can't say I'm not embarassed but I destroyed all my clothes so I either walk like this or completely naked which is out of question.

"(I've seen her many times already, after all, we're from the same class but whenever I lay my eyes on her it always amazes me how beautiful she is. Even as a mutant she's still beautiful. No, I can say she looks even better, those animal traits sure gives her an extra, unique charm. Just like my fiery eyes does to me... I think.) Hi?"

Then Saeko takes a step at me and walks around me while sniffing my body, she moves so quick it's hard to follow her even though she is really close. While doing it, she stops in front of me, get on all fours and sniffs my crotch. Coming out from under her skirt, I see a long black tail and it's stiff and pointing out.

"(She's exploring, just like a... dog. Well, no wonder. Alright, remember the things you read on the internet, what does a dog sniffing you mean? She is understanding who I am and... greeting me? Maybe?)

I see her ears move at the top of her head so I reach forward to pet her head and touch them but have stop when she frowns, squint her eyes and looks at me.

Saeko: " You have a strong smell, specially your crotch. You should bathe more."

Hearing that I can't help but get extremely ashamed but I force a smile.

"(Who told you to stick you head near my dick and sniff it, huh?) I do take three baths a day, sometimes more, but it's also true I sweat a lot so I might not be smelling the best right now. (Though I've noticed I stopped sweating ever since I took the Orb of the Living Sun. Have to confirm if but if I did then this is, by far, the best side effect.)

Yuuki buts in between us.

Yuuki: " Hey! What the fuck are you saying?! Don't listen to her, baby! He smells great! Even more when he's sweaty, his male musk is amazing. I just love it!"

Saeko gets up and looks at Yuuki, her expression visibly sours as her ears goes back and nose wrinkles.

Saeko: ""

Yuuki: " Huh?! Wanna fight?! I'm not afraid of you!"

Getting in front of Yuuki, I look at Saeko.

"(Yeah, I know not many like her but she's not that bad. At least not with me.) We don't want to trouble you. We are here to get something she left inside. After that we'll go on our way. Can you let us in? Don't worry, no one's coming after us, we made sure of it."

After a couple of seconds, Saeko glances at Yuuki and then at me, and nods before making way for us to enter. Once we get inside the faculty room, she steps inside and closes the door behind us. In the room, I see more familiar faces. Standing in front of a door in the back of the room is a beautiful but stern and strict woman, with a face that screams she needs a good fuck, the red-head mathematics teacher who wears glasses: Kyoko Hayashi. Lying the upper body onto the table is a tall woman of exceptional beauty with humongous tits and ridiculous curves but an empty head, the blonde nurse: Shizuka Marikawa. Sitting on a chair with arms and legs crossed is a bratty and hella annoying but also very intelligent, foul-mouthed and mean, the second-year pink-haired rich girl: Saya Takagi. And coming out of the room Kyoko is standing in front of, with wrinkled clothes and slightly red faces, are two girls I don't know, probably first-years. Just looking at these women already drained almost all my social battery.

" (I should be careful here, Human Boss seems to be really strong, so much it can greatly influence even a stubborn person like Yuuki. I'm not the kind of person who'd abuse of it but I should watch every word I say so that it doesn't sound like an order or anything. To be truthful, I don't want to deal with any of them. People, in general, are bothersome and the Human Boss thing just made things more troublesome. Though I can tell these girls are going to be real annoying. Specially the rule-lover Kyoko and the stuck-up Saya. Gosh, Taki, I don't know how you had it in you to tolerate that girl, any normal person would tell her to go fuck herself and cut all ties with her. Anyway, let's just grab Yuuki's treasure box and get the hell out.)"

As the two freshman walks out through the door, Kyoko steps in front of them and begins to whisper with them but I can't hear what they are talking about, not that I care but it seems the two were doing naughty things inside that room and Kyoko noticed it. Looking all over the room, my eyes and Saya's meet for a moment but I immediately turn my head to Yuuki. Though, curiously enough, in the short glimpse I got from Saya she looked really tired.

"(I should use my influence a little, or else Yuuki's going to take forever.) Go get the treasure box, I don't want to stay here longer than we need to. (Please, Saya, just ignore me like you always did.)"

Yuuki nods and immediately head to the table Shizuka is lied on as Saya gets up from her chair and walks at me.

" (This is going to be annoying.)"

She stops right in front of me with a face full of contempt and disgust, and eyes me up and down before crossing her arms.

Saya: "Ewww, your fat tits are bigger than mine. And look at that huge belly, have you ever considered losing weight, you whale? You already look disgusting but then you walk around showing that nasty body of yours, with just a towel wrapped on you. What a fucking pervert. I knew you were weird, I even told Takashi to avoid talking to you and he didn't listen to me, but I never knew you were so sick. Looking at you makes me want to puke. Ugh. Disgusting... Whatever. C'mon, fatso, spill it out, where is Takashi?"

Rolling my eyes, I stare directly at the orange contact lenses she is using.

"(She always hit where it hurts.)"

I can see she is very tired, this whole situation drained her yet she still has energy left to be a bitch.

"Like always you are a machine of insults, Saya. As much as I'd like to put you in your place I'm too lazy for that. Anyway, Taki is dead. I killed him. He turned into a zombie so I put him out of his misery.)

She frowns.

Saya: "Dead? No. No way in hell! You're lying! Where is he?!"

Shaking my head, I look at Yuuki as she talks with the two girls I don't know, they look quite close.

"I have no reason to lie about something so serious, Saya. He was my only friend and I have him in my heart but he's dead. And I killed him. It is what it is."

She lowers her head and clenches her fists but then takes several slow deep breaths and looks at me, her eyes slowly gets teary.

Saya: "How... was it?"

I understand her words.

"(I expected her to be worse than this but I guess she held back. Human Boss's bonus effect?) Quick and painless. That thing... it wasn't him. It had the same appearance but was nothing more than a monster. Taki wouldn't want to hurt anyone, he'd hate to know he did. So I finished him before he could."

All of a sudden she frowns deeply, tears are coming out from her eyes.

Saya: "And what do you know about him, you fucking pig? I know him since we were kids, unlike you. You're just a useless pig who showed up out of nowhere! It should have been you to die!"

I smile back at her.

"(This girl. Well, I guess it's normal that she's get angry because of that, I killed her childhood friend after all.) Saya, if I had the chance to offer my life in exchange of Taki's, I'd take it without even thinking. I know my life is worthless but it's a fact that I survived and he didn't. Wanna be mad at me? Hate me? Curse me? Sure, I don't care. But don't even think of hitting me 'cause I'll strike back and I won't hold myself. I don't give a shit if you're a girl, I'm the gender equality lover type guy, you know."

She grits her teeth, tears trickle down her face as she turns around and goes to the room in the back, that looks like a bathroom, closing the door behind her once she gets inside. Saeko approaches me.

Saeko: "What happened?"

Looking at her, I shake my head.

"(Damn, this girl is tall... I wonder, does my influence works on her too or maybe not because she's a mutant?) Nothing much. She asked a question but didn't like the answer. Though I have to say she took it better than I expected, she's usually hot-headed. And in case you're wondering, yes. I did kill another student but he was just a mindless monster who attacked me."

Saeko turns to me.

Saeko: "You're strong to have survived until now. Don't worry, I won't judge you, I killed my fair share of those monsters on my way here so you did what you had to. Besides, your smell, albeit strong and weirdly captivating, isn't the smell of a bad person."

Frowning slightly, I glance at her from the corner of my eyes.

"(Captivating? My smell, girl what are you talking about? And how do you know the smell of a bad person?) Ah, I saw the zombies you killed, their heads were sliced off. You're strong enough to cut through them with a wooden sword, that's really something."

Saeko smiles.

Saeko: "I thank you for your compliment but you shouldn't say that to me. I did kill some monsters on my way here but the ones in the third floor wasn't killed by me. It was Saya's doing."

Her words surprises me.

"Saya's? Really? (Then this means she must have gotten her hands on something similar to the Orb of the Living Sun. And she has a fine control of it too. Is this what it means to be, as she calls it, a genius?)"

Saeko: "Yes. She's quite something."

As we talk, Yuuki comes back with the box in hands. And she didn't come alone. The two girls I don't recognize are with her.

"So... who are you two?"
