"Brother Richard, Ashley is so vicious you need to be careful. If she can pull off a marriage scam, who knows which other tricks she has up her sleeve."
The sweet, coquettish voice makes Ashley's skin crawl. After listening for a while, Ashley didn't hear Richard's response.
"Brother Richard, look at this purple handbag. Doesn't it suit me perfectly?"
A handbag? Ashley pursed her lips. Mabel must be trying to get Richard to buy it for her.
Ashley casually placed her water glass in the nearby glass table, knocked on the door, and walked in.
Inside; Richard was sitting at his desk, engrossed in a document while Mabel was indeed holding a fashion magazine.
Mabel turned her head and upon seeing Ashley, instantly changed her expression, "who let you in here, you ugly and viscous woman? "Get out."
Richard also looked up, his sharp eyes coldly assessing Ashley.
This woman was truly audacious. She had schemed against her marriage and now had the nerve to barge into his study.
Richard's voice was firm and commanding, "Get out." He had no reason to be polite to a woman as vicious as her.
Ashley acted as though they weren't talking to her. She danced around and continued walking forward.
"Sorry, I was feeling a bit thirsty and thought this was the kitchen." "Are you blind? This is brother Richard's study, not a kitchen." Mabel mocked.
Ashley turned around and squeezed herself between Richard and Mabel. Richard instantly caught a whiff of a pleasant fragrance.
Despite being labeled as unattractive, Ashley's scent was surprisingly fresh, much more pleasant than the overpowering designer perfume Mabel wore.
" You bumped into me, you ugly woman," Mabel snapped. Ashley crossed her arms over her chest and gave Mabel a once-over.
"Tsk, you're still too green. If you want a man to pounce on you in the middle of the night, you need to know, the skirt should be this shirt."
Ashley traced a line along her inner thigh.
"Just imagine, with black stockings on those legs and a bit of a push-up for the chest, every man in the world would be on fire the moment they see you, pouncing like hungry wolves. Honey, you're a man, am I right?"
Ashley blinked her big eyes, looking unusually innocent.
Richard was speechless. Was this woman courting death? Did she think he was one of those hungry wolves too?
Mabel blushed, pointing a slender finger at Ashley and stomping her foot.
"You're talking nonsense! Brother Richard, she's gone too far.
Ashley reached over and grabbed the magazine from Mabel's hand, flipping through it quickly.
"Honey, are you buying a bag for Miss Anderson? Perfect timing, I like this brand too. I want this Sakura pink crocodile leather bag. Honey, you're so rich, buy it for me too."
She tossed the magazine onto the table and took a few steps toward the door before turning back with a charming smile at the stunned pair.
" Oh, and just to clarify, don't get me wrong. I want a Sakura pink crocodile bag, priced at $30,000 and Miss Anderson's purple bag $15,000. Otherwise, if Miss Anderson and I show up at the same event with bags of the same quality, it would be quite embarrassing for Young Madam Andrew.
Ashley quickly spoke and took advantage of the momentarily shock between the two to work out.
Even though she had no feelings for Richard, as long as she was part of the Edwards Family, She needed to establish her authority as the young business of the family.
Otherwise in the deep Waters of high society, she would be mercilessly bullied.
As Ashley's graceful figure disappeared from the study's doorway, Mabel felt a clawing sensation in her chest.
That damn Ashley was she trying to give her a warning?
What was even more terrifying was that she noticed Richard staring at the door where Ashley had just left, frowning, lost In thought.
Mabel clenched palm and softened her tone
"Brother Richard, that woman is really ill-mannered. She just got married and already wants you to spend money on her. She's nothing but a gold digger.
A gold digger? Isn't that describing yourself?
"It's late. You should go home."
Richard glanced at her and turned a page in his document
Mabel's face instantly turned a shade paler. The look Richard had given her was so cold she glanced at the night outside.
"Can you take me home, it 's too dark, and I am scared," Mabel asked, her voice trembling lightly.
Richard didn't even look up from his work "I have to finish some business let uncle John take you home."
A wave of frustration surged through Mabel's chest, but she couldn't show it in front of Richard. Over the years Richard had been kind to her because of what happened 5 years ago. But it was just in a brotherly way.
But Mabel wasn't the one to give up easily. She believed that she deserved the position of Young mistress of the Andrew's.
Alright am living then don't work too late.
