Chapter 2 - Chapter Two- Party

*violence warning I guess

Although I hadn't ever been popular at my highschool school, never made friends, no one would pass up the chance to get drunk at a party when the parents would be out of town. I secretly told several of my classmates, making them swear not to tell anyone. I promised them alcohol and, well, some other things… and they were all eager to accept. I hated these people, they were spoiled, cruel, and didn't seem to care about anything except doing what they shouldn't. But I still felt bad. I mean, did they truly deserve something like this? Am I just as bad for doing this to save myself? Should I have just died instead?

They came to me several hours after school. They all took the bus, got off farther away, and made sure not to make any stops on the way. I needed to make sure I wasn't caught. I brought them inside, gave them snacks, and as they sat in my room, waiting for the substances to be brought out, they talked amongst themselves. I could make out one of the girls mention a really bad smell. F*ck. I can only hope they don't open the closet as I finish plating the cheap cookies from the box. I walk into the room as they fool around, and I turn on the radio. Full blast. I yell that I'll be right back, and I stop and nod towards the closet. I can see a glimpse of the crooked smile from the crack of the door. That was our signal, when I nod, I lock the door. They can't hear the click due to the music. I turn around and slide my back against the door. My chest tightens as I listen.

———-

The students are in the room when they see the crack of the closet door widen.

Out of the darkness, a face emerges.

They all scream. The charred skin, rotten smile and wide eyes send chills down their spines. Their eyes widen and a boy's jaw drops to the floor.

The creature steps out of the closet, its hand stretched wide as it steps towards them. It's so tall it's head can't help but press against the ceiling. It's long and slender, with long bony fingers that have nails which have dried blood on them.

I yell from behind the door, "QUICK! FINISH THEM OFF!"

The creature giggles in response, as the students back against the wall.Their eyes locked on the creature, most of them are too scared to move. Except one.

Perhaps the most anoying person I had invited was Tristan. He was your average gymrat, and spent all class throwing stuff around the room. He'd picked on me alot in middle school too, since I was pretty antisocial. I didn't feel bad for what happened to him that night.

Tristan grabs my guitar from the floor, and swings at the creature. It groans as the guitar shatters, and it becomes enraged. It no longer wishes to play around with them. It will do what it came to.

From the door, I hear faint screams, and the sound of flesh ripping apart. I hear thumps, and a loud bang against the door. Tears fall down my cheeks as I sit there curled up into myself.

Suddenly the music gets louder and after a moment, it stops. But the silence is loud. I know it's over.

"Come."

I quickly open the door, and see the creature standing in the center of the room, blood oozing down its body. It seems to be quite a messy eater.

"Ugh I, I need to clean up now, ok?" I whisper. "Then, then we can find some more people for later and figure out what to do".

The creature doesn't move, it's eyes watch my closely. It's smile is gone and it looks rather angry. I watch it as I slowly begin to put the dirty, tattered remains of the students backpacks in a large garbage bag.

"Do you, do you need to like shower or sleep or something? Do you, do you sleep at all?" I ask hesitantly.

It ponders for a moment, and slowly shakes its head. It looks back at me.

"Y-yes?" It leaves the room while watching me, its head turning backwards to keep an eye on me as it walks the opposite direction, out into the hall.

Sh*t…What have I gotten myself into.
