The Second Heaven, one of the few Upper Realms, stood as a realm regarded as one of the Immortal Worlds. In contrast, the Human World was a Lower Realm—a world where mortals existed, not immortals.
There was a bridge between the Upper Realms and the Lower Realms.
Only those with immortality could descend to the Lower Realms from the Upper Realms, but mortals couldn't leave the Lower Realm. If they tried to enter the Upper Realms, their bodies would be destroyed by the barrier.
Both the Shadow Realm and the Shadow Palace were Upper Realms, created just outside the Lower Realm. These realms were inhabited solely by immortal beings, as no mortal could survive there.
Now, the Second Heaven awaited a visitor who had accepted their invitation.
The meeting was to take place in the Divine City of Masturath, the abode of the Sovereign of the Sky, Zuenos. All members of the Twelve Elites were present to witness the arrival of the God of Shadows, Zenith.
