While exploring another part of the forest, Aldir arrived at a different area. The trees here were larger and older, with roots that snaked through the ground like snakes. The air felt colder, and the sounds of wild animals were almost inaudible, as if this entire area was dead. His steps halted when he came across something strange. A body lay under a large tree, already a skeleton. Aldir crouched down, observing the remnants of clothing on the body. From the shabby clothes worn, it seemed that this person had once been a traveler. Near the skeleton, Aldir found a small book. The book looked worn, with a leather cover that had begun to peel off. He picked it up and opened the pages carefully. The writing inside was almost faded, but still readable. Aldir's eyes lit up as he realized what he had found. The book was a guide to magic. Not only did it contain basic spells, but also an explanation of the power system and levels of magicians in this world. Aldir began to read carefully:
Mage Levels:
1. Novice: Novice Mages who have just started their journey. They can only use basic magic.
2. Apprentice: Mages who are beginning to understand the flow of energy and are able to use intermediate level spells.
3. Adept: A skilled Mage, able to control energy with high efficiency.
4. Expert: Mages who are able to manipulate natural elements and have a deep understanding of energy.
5. Master: Mages who master high-level magic and are able to create new spells.
6. Archmage: Legendary Mages who are few in number. They possess extraordinary powers and are often regarded as the guardians of the world's balance.
In addition, the book also explains the concept of "Core Mana", the core of energy in every magician's body. This core can be strengthened through meditation, training, and combat experience. The stronger one's core, the higher the level one can reach.
In another part of the book, there is information about the world that Aldir is in. This world consists of various kingdoms, each with unique characteristics and powers. Some of the kingdoms mentioned are:
- Amira Kingdom: A kingdom famous for its culture and war art
- Kingdom of Lorien: Known as the center of magical learning, where wizards from all over the world come to study.
- Kingdom of Eldoria: A kingdom rich in natural resources, but full of political intrigue within.
- Kingdom of Virmora: A kingdom famous for its elite troops and advanced magical technology.
Aldir smiled slightly. This book was an invaluable treasure. With this knowledge, he could begin to understand the magical world he had just entered. However, he also realized that this book must have belonged to someone powerful, and there might be a reason why its owner ended up here.
After investigating the book on the world and levels of mages, Aldir glanced at another book lying on the side of the skeleton. The cover was hard and sturdy, with a sword symbol and a circle of energy engraved in the center. He felt something different about this book, as if there was a hidden power within it.
Opening the first page, he read the preface:
"The art of fighting with magical energy is the essence of profound martial arts. With mastery of the body and the flow of energy, a practitioner can surpass the limits of ordinary human strength."
Aldir continued reading, discovering that the book was a standard guide to martial magic designed for novice warriors. The book explained the basics of utilizing Mana to strengthen the body, increase speed, and produce explosive attacks. However, to Aldir, these techniques seemed simple-even a little boring.
"This is too... mechanical," Aldir thought. "If I just follow this pattern, I won't survive against creatures like Orcs or anything else stronger."
With the scientific understanding he had gained from the previous world, Aldir began to analyze the concepts in the book. He envisioned the human body as a complex machine, where energy flowed through certain pathways-like the nervous system or bloodstream. If the techniques in the book only utilized a fraction of the body's potential, what would happen if he pushed it to its extreme limits?
Aldir started by trying the most basic technique called Impact Pulse, where Mana is concentrated in the hands to create a punch with little explosive power. He followed the book's instructions, but the results felt weak. This Technique is somewhat similar with the one he invested just a moment ago. much efficient and powerful. however he still eager to learn much deeper.
He thought for a moment, recalling lessons from biology and physics: to create a bigger explosion of energy, he needed to accelerate the flow of energy through a larger pathway. Just like increasing the voltage in an electrical circuit. He began to modify the technique by channeling his energy through the main energy pathways in his body, which he identified as the Core vein.
The process was not easy. When he tried to increase the flow of energy, his body felt on fire, and some of the blood vessels in his arms almost burst. However, with deep breaths and intense focus, he began to find balance. This time, when he unleashed Impact Pulse, his blow not only shook the trees to bursting, splinters were thrown in all directions.
"This is it," Aldir muttered with a satisfied smile. "However, this is still the first step."
He continued his exploration with other techniques from the book, such as Rapid Stride, a technique that accelerates movement. However, instead of simply increasing his speed, Aldir modified the technique by incorporating the concept of momentum and thrust from the flow of Mana in his legs. With this modification, he not only moved faster, but was also able to jump several meters with a single step, creating a trail of small explosions on the ground every time he landed.
After a few days of experimentation, Aldir developed a new technique that he named Void Step. This technique makes him able to use the air as a stepping surface to jump from one place to another. if anyone sees it, it looks like that he is flying in the air but he's just jumping in midair.
However, Aldir realized one important thing. this technique consumed an enormous amount of energy. If he overused it, his body would lose balance and become vulnerable.
During his experiments, Aldir also learned one important thing. the human body is not just a machine, but also a vessel for natural energy. By integrating the meditation techniques described in the book, he began to understand how to connect himself with the energy around him. He called it Energy Harmony, the ability to absorb and flow environmental energy into his body.
With this new understanding, Aldir felt more confident. This manual of martial arts magic, though seemingly simple at first, had given him the foundation to create a unique and deadly fighting style, a fighting style that relied not only on strength, but also ingenuity and adaptation.
