Medeia looked at him in shock. "You will? Nico's ability is dangerous and you have never seen it before."
Harry agreed to her, "I can't let you teach him unless I know you are capable of doing so."
"I am capable enough to teach him." Lucian spoke calmly, even daring to say something that caused a commotion in the room. "I'm afraid no one is willing to teach him, and he will suffer more in the future because of your fear of a little boy."
Medeia's eyes immediately lit up in excitement. She finally knew why his kindness point was 99, not 100. That minus 1 point's side of him was kind of hot in Medeia's eyes.
Morty slammed the table and exploded, "I'm not scared of him! You just don't know what kind of ability he possesses, so you underestimate him!"
"I'll not underestimate someone who can make you tremble in fear." Lucian didn't want to meladeni his rambling, so he straightly asked Harry, "What do you think, Leader?"
The smile disappeared from Lucian's face. He seemed more serious and his tone slightly colder than usual.
Why did he act like that? He didn't even know Nico at all.
"Lucian, I appreciate your willingness to teach him, but I must warn you that Nico is … special." Harry said, "His ability is beyond all of the hunters here, so no one can give him a proper lesson about his ability."
"I can see that," Lucian said, "But I'm more capable than the rest of you."
Medeia almost burst out laughing when he said that.
A moment ago, he had clearly said that he was just an ordinary person, but now he was blatantly implying that the hunters in the room were weaker than him.
'Lucian, honey, maybe you should learn to tone down your insult a little bit.'
But hey, who cared about other people's feelings as long as Medeia could see his hotter side?
On the other hand, Harry felt like Lucian was too confident for a big talker. Hence, he thought there was no harm in letting him teach Nico.
"If you think you are that capable, then I'll entrust Nico to you." Harry warned, "But I'll not take responsibility if something bad happens to you."
Lucian smiled. "Deal."
After they came to the agreement, Harry decided he would let a grade-S hunter to stay in the village in turn and would take other hunters to the forest as long as they had a basic fight skill.
In that way, Harry could teach everyone how to survive outside the village and train them to fight a monster directly.
Medeia could guess Harry would be exhausted because of that arrangement, but a leader like him never complained in front of others.
Being a leader was truly an exhausting job.
"Naomi, can I talk to you for a second?" asked Medeia as Harry dismissed the meetings.
"Okay."
Medeia brought Naomi to her room. "I want to give you an important task, but before that, I want to ask you something."
She continued, "How fast can you regenerate?"
Naomi tilted her head, feeling confused about her question. "About two minutes for severe injuries and one minute for minor injuries. Why?"
'Can you guess her grade?' asked Medeia to the system.
[She has a grade-SS ability]
No wonder her ability was impressive. In that way, she wouldn't die just because activate some stones.
Medeia then told Naomi the information about the stone of fertility and how to activate them.
Naomi creased her forehead. "I thought you just put them in the soil without having any consequences."
Medeia lied. "I also thought like that. But, whenever I touch the stone and bury it inside the soil, I feel exhausted." She pretended to be weak. "If I continue to activate them, maybe I'll die sooner."
She just didn't want to do such a tiring job.
Naomi seemed concerned by her words. "Then, don't do it again! Let me activate the stones instead."
Medeia happily handed a sack of fertility stones to her. "How about you try to activate 10 stones each day? If you're feeling that's too much, then you can tone it down."
"I think I can do more."
"That's great! Naomi, you're the best!"
Finally, Medeia could reduce her labor and have more time to relax.
"I'll let you know if I can activate more stones," said Naomi.
"Okay."
Naomi then left the room, but when she opened the door, she saw Lucian standing in front of it.
"Am I interrupting you?" asked Lucian as he knew there was someone in Medeia's room.
Medeia, "No, Naomi is just about to leave. You can come in."
Naomi exchanged smiles with Lucian before she left them alone.
Lucian closed the door and immediately approached Medeia and lowered his head like a sad dog. "I'm sorry for my bad behavior earlier."
"What attitude? You impressed me in the meeting." Medeia sat on the chair, then crossed her leg. She smiled. "I like a man who is a little bit, just a little bit meany."
But please not as mean as her ex, or Medeia would have a second nightmare.
"Besides, I can't wait to see you teach the boy." Medeia pretended to be sad and cared so much about Nico. "Poor boy. He has been shutting himself down since the accident two years ago."
"Can you tell me what happened to him and his sister?" asked Lucian. His voice was sincere and slightly hesitant.
Medeia collected the original body's memories before she spoke, "If I'm not wrong, his parents were the local villagers who survived the apocalypse. But his father died because of sickness when he was six, leaving him alone with his mother and sister."
For years, Nico hadn't awakened his mutant ability, so the villagers thought he would be an ordinary human for the rest of his life.
However, he suddenly awakened his ability when he was 11 years old. His ability was so strong that he could not control it.
The hunters tried to stop him, but they deliberately made him anxious and panicked.
"In the midst of chaos, Nico accidently trapped her sister inside the shield. He wanted to open it, but shrunk it instead and …."
Her body exploded because of the pressure. Nico watched her die in horror and made him emotionally unstable. At that moment, Harry had to hit him in the back of the head to knock him unconscious.
"His mother refused to see him and decided to unalive herself after that."
After that, Nico shut himself from the outside world and hid in the church. If only the spider didn't destroy the church, maybe he would never see the sun again.
Lucian was silent for a moment before he said, "Did he ever use his ability again?"
Medeia shook her head. "No. He's too afraid to use it again, even when the spider attacked him, he chose to do nothing."
"The tragedy must have left a deep scar in his heart." He murmured to himself, "I should find a way to heal the scar."
"Lucian, may I ask you something?" Medeia asked a question when she got his attention. "Why are you so eager to teach Nico? You don't even know him."
Lucian seemed like he wanted to say something, but closed his mouth again. He took a deep breath and said, "Because he must be so scared of himself and I don't want him to turn into the Lost."
Everyone knew it was time for Nico to turn into the Lost. His mind had been in a chaotic state for two years, and no one had tried to help him, except Sister Jeanne, who had always taken care of him without fear.
"Enough of the sad story. Why don't we think about the place we'll use to train Nico?"
Lucian, "We?"
"Yes, you and me. You don't think you will teach him alone, do you? Despite a good teacher, Nico also needs someone he knows well and I'm the right person."
Medeia had been living in the church for the past five years, so Nico could trust her.
At first, she thought Lucian would despise her intention because most people would think she was a burden and could get hurt around Nico.
However, Lucian simply said, "I'll be glad if you join us."
