Mito would, of course, never do that again. She wasn't desperate enough to plead for something she knew was beyond her grasp. Her husband had made his choices, and though the pain weighed heavily on her heart, Mito knew better than to rely on futile wishes. She wasn't that broken. Not yet.
Instead, she lifted her chin, meeting Magnus's gaze with a steely resolve.
"Heal him, and I'll do whatever you want. No hidden agendas, no ulterior motives," she offered. Her voice was calm, firm, though there was a quiet desperation beneath it. Mito was a good woman, bound by duty, even if that meant making sacrifices.
