Chapter 30 - Fun in Wano

---

As Xpovac and Swampert stepped foot onto the outskirts of Wano, the dense forests and lush greenery welcomed them with open arms. The landscape was peaceful and serene, a stark contrast to the chaos they had just left behind on Poke Island. Xpovac took a deep breath of the cool, fresh air and smiled. Today wasn't about battles, missions, or saving the world—it was about having fun and enjoying a peaceful day in a new land with his loyal companion, Swampert.

"Looks like a nice spot, huh, buddy?" Xpovac said, glancing at Swampert, who nodded eagerly, his tail wagging with excitement.

They were on the outskirts, far from the busy streets and bustling towns of Wano. The area was peaceful, surrounded by towering bamboo trees swaying gently in the breeze, and a nearby river flowed with crystal-clear water. It was the perfect spot to spend a quiet day, and Xpovac decided they'd start by building a temporary house—a base of operations, of sorts, while they explored the land.

"Let's get to work," Xpovac said, rolling up his sleeves. Swampert let out a cheerful cry and bounded off to gather some large stones for the foundation of their home.

---

Xpovac and Swampert worked side by side, their bond evident in the seamless way they collaborated. Swampert, with his immense strength, dug up the ground and carefully laid large stones to form the foundation. Xpovac used his abilities to smooth out the edges, making sure everything was level. Together, they began to gather bamboo from the surrounding forest to build the walls of their new home.

Swampert happily brought back armfuls of thick bamboo stalks, carefully placing them in front of Xpovac. With precision and care, Xpovac used his hands to split the bamboo into usable lengths. Swampert watched curiously, tilting his head as Xpovac started piecing the walls together like a puzzle. The sturdy bamboo slotted into place, forming a basic structure that slowly took shape.

"Well, it's not a palace, but it'll do," Xpovac said with a grin as they finished the main structure. Swampert gave an approving grunt and began using his water abilities to wet the soil around the foundation, ensuring everything stayed in place.

Next, they moved on to the roof. Xpovac scaled the half-finished structure with ease, using thick palm leaves and some extra bamboo to create a simple, thatched roof. It took them the better part of the morning to get the framework in place, but by midday, their house was starting to look more like a real home.

"There," Xpovac said, stepping back to admire their handiwork. "What do you think, Swampert?"

Swampert let out an enthusiastic cry, bouncing around the finished structure. The house wasn't massive, but it was cozy and sturdy enough to weather the elements. Xpovac had even made sure to leave a little porch area where they could sit and relax, overlooking the river.

With the house built, Xpovac decided it was time to have a little fun. "What do you say we take a break and play?" he asked, looking at Swampert, who immediately perked up, his eyes shining with excitement.

"Alright, catch!" Xpovac shouted as he grabbed a sturdy branch and tossed it across the field. Swampert dashed after it with surprising speed, his heavy form moving gracefully through the grass. He snatched the branch out of the air and proudly brought it back to Xpovac, his tail wagging furiously.

They played fetch for a while, Xpovac laughing as Swampert enthusiastically chased after anything he threw—branches, stones, even splashes of water from the nearby river. Swampert dove headfirst into the water, creating a huge splash that soaked Xpovac from head to toe.

"Hey!" Xpovac yelled, laughing as he shook the water from his hair. "I guess that means it's swim time!"

Without hesitation, Xpovac waded into the river. Swampert, always one to enjoy the water, followed him in. The cool water was refreshing, and they spent the next hour splashing around, racing through the shallow parts of the river, and even diving under to see who could hold their breath the longest (Swampert always won that game).

At one point, Swampert leaped out of the water, creating a huge wave that nearly knocked Xpovac off his feet. Xpovac retaliated by using his abilities to send a small shockwave through the water, playfully challenging Swampert to a battle of the elements. The river shimmered with energy as they continued their playful sparring, but it was all in good fun.

As the sun began to dip lower in the sky, Xpovac's stomach growled, reminding him that they hadn't eaten since morning. "Alright, time to refuel," he said, opening up the system menu.

He quickly scrolled through the multiversal store, searching for something they could enjoy. After browsing for a few moments, he decided to purchase an assortment of food. He selected a mix of fresh fish for Swampert—after all, it was one of his favorite meals—and a variety of grilled meats and vegetables for himself.

With a simple command, the food materialized in front of them, neatly packed in containers. The fresh, savory scent wafted through the air, making Xpovac's mouth water.

"Dinner is served!" Xpovac declared, tossing a large fish to Swampert, who caught it in his jaws and devoured it with a contented rumble.

They sat together on the porch of their newly built house, enjoying the meal in the peaceful quiet of Wano's outskirts. Xpovac savored every bite, enjoying the grilled meats and the crunch of the perfectly cooked vegetables. Swampert, on the other hand, made short work of the fish, happily munching away and occasionally glancing at Xpovac to see if there was more.

As they ate, the sky above slowly changed from blue to vibrant shades of orange and pink, casting a warm glow over the land. The tranquil atmosphere made Xpovac feel at ease—this was exactly what he needed after all the chaos of the past few days.

After they finished their meal, Xpovac leaned back on the porch, hands behind his head as he gazed up at the sky. Swampert lay next to him, his massive form sprawled out on the ground, his head resting contentedly on his paws.

"You know, Swampert," Xpovac began, "I think we're going to like it here. This place… it feels right."

Swampert let out a soft rumble of agreement, his eyes closing as he began to drift off to sleep.

The Calm Before the Storm

As night began to fall, Xpovac felt a sense of accomplishment. They had built a house, had fun, and enjoyed a peaceful meal together—something he hadn't had the chance to do in a long time. But even as he sat there, basking in the calm of the moment, his mind couldn't help but wander to what awaited them in Wano.

Tomorrow would be the start of something new. He had a mission, and there were people to meet and challenges to face. But for now, this moment was perfect—a rare, peaceful day with his loyal companion.

With a contented sigh, Xpovac closed his eyes, allowing himself to enjoy the silence, knowing that tomorrow would bring a new adventure.
