Chapter 13 - A Rude Interruption!

The tranquility of the island was abruptly disturbed as Xpovac lounged beneath the shade of a large palm tree, watching his Pokémon play and enjoy their hard-earned break. He had just finished another round of intense Haki training, his body still buzzing with energy. His gaze shifted lazily toward the horizon as a ship bearing the tattered black flag of a pirate crew appeared in the distance.

Xpovac raised an eyebrow. "Pirates, huh? They always seem to pop up at the most inconvenient times," he muttered. He stood up and stretched, calling back his Pokémon with a wave.

Before the ship could reach the shore, Xpovac heard the distant sound of raucous laughter and shouting. Clearly, the crew had spotted him and the ship was moving in fast. "Looks like we have some unwanted guests. Mew, think you can handle the crew while I deal with the captain?"

Mew, floating playfully beside him, gave an enthusiastic nod and teleported off toward the pirate ship. The tiny, psychic Pokémon was more than capable of handling a few ordinary pirates. Xpovac, meanwhile, stood waiting, hands casually stuffed in his pockets as the ship landed on the shore. A group of rugged pirates stormed off the deck, weapons drawn and greedy grins plastered on their faces.

"Hand over your loot, kid!" one of the pirates barked. "You and your little pets are on our turf now."

Xpovac rolled his eyes, unfazed. "You might want to rethink that."

Mew vs. the Pirates

Mew, now hovering above the deck of the pirate ship, giggled mischievously as the crew below tried to figure out what was going on. A few of them raised swords and guns toward the tiny Pokémon, but they clearly had no idea what they were up against. Mew waved a paw, sending their weapons flying into the sea with a flick of psychic energy.

"Hey! What the—?!" one of the pirates yelled as his sword was yanked out of his hands. Another pirate fired a gun, but Mew easily dodged the bullets, teleporting around the deck in quick bursts of light.

Mew then decided to have a little fun, creating multiple illusions of itself, each one darting around the panicked crew. The pirates slashed wildly at the air, hitting nothing but shadows. Some tripped over each other in their confusion while others simply gave up, too bewildered to even try.

"Is that all you've got?" Mew said telepathically, its voice teasing as it continued to toy with the hapless pirates.

Within minutes, the crew was lying on the deck, either knocked out cold or completely demoralized. Mew, satisfied with its playful victory, floated back to shore to watch Xpovac handle the captain.

Xpovac vs. The Captain

Meanwhile, Xpovac stood in front of the pirate captain, a burly man with a large scimitar strapped to his back and a wicked grin on his face.

"You must be the ringleader," Xpovac said with a lazy smile. "How about you save us both some time and leave now?"

The captain snarled. "Cocky brat! I'll cut you down where you stand!"

The captain drew his scimitar and charged at Xpovac with a roar. But Xpovac didn't move. Instead, he opened the system interface, quickly navigating to the store. In a few seconds, he had purchased a set of wireless headphones and a music-only phone.

"Equipment tab," Xpovac muttered, and the headphones materialized on his head. With a quick swipe, he started playing "Surround Sound" by J.I.D, letting the smooth, rhythmic beats fill his ears. The captain lunged, but Xpovac side-stepped with ease, his movements relaxed yet calculated.

The captain swung his scimitar again, this time aiming for Xpovac's side, but Xpovac ducked under the strike, not even looking at his opponent. His hands stayed in his pockets as he danced around the attacks, completely in sync with the rhythm of the music blasting in his ears.

"You're slow," Xpovac commented, his voice almost drowned out by the music. "And clumsy."

The captain snarled in frustration, swinging wildly, but Xpovac was too fast. He casually leaned back to dodge a slash, then swept the captain's legs out from under him with a swift kick. The pirate captain crashed to the ground, gasping in shock.

Xpovac stepped closer, leaning down to stare the captain in the eyes. "You're not even worth taking seriously."

With one final, effortless motion, Xpovac knocked the captain out cold. The fight had been almost boringly easy.

After the Battle

As the dust settled, Xpovac stood up and stretched, glancing back at the pirate ship. Mew had done a perfect job handling the crew; they were either unconscious or fleeing in terror. Xpovac whistled for Lugia, and the majestic Pokémon appeared from the skies, its presence alone enough to make the remaining pirates scream in fear.

"Lugia, would you mind sending their ship away?" Xpovac asked, still listening to his music.

Lugia flapped its massive wings, summoning a powerful tornado that engulfed the ship. The pirates scrambled to escape, but in moments, the ship was lifted into the air and flung far out to sea, disappearing over the horizon.

With the pirate threat dealt with, Xpovac began looting the treasures from the ship before it was blown away. Sifting through gold, jewels, and various valuables, he smiled at the easy profit. "Not bad for a day's work."

As he packed up the treasures, Xpovac opened the system. "System, where's Luffy now?"

---

System Notification: Luffy is currently headed to Orange Town.

---

Xpovac chuckled. "He's already making moves. Good. He'll need to be strong for what's coming."

Just as he finished, another notification popped up on the system interface.

---

System Notification: Golden Egg Incubation Complete!

---

Xpovac turned toward the incubator in excitement. The egg began to glow, and moments later, it cracked open, revealing the legendary bird Pokémon, Articuno. The newly hatched Articuno stretched its wings and let out a beautiful cry, its icy blue feathers shimmering in the sunlight.

"Welcome to the team, Articuno," Xpovac said with a grin. Lucario, Mew, Swampert, Tyranitar, and Lugia all gathered around, greeting their newest companion warmly.

Articuno blinked up at Xpovac with its piercing blue eyes, and the two shared a moment of understanding. This was only the beginning of what the legendary Pokémon could achieve.

"Alright, team," Xpovac said, looking out at the horizon. "Let's keep moving. There's a lot more to explore out there."

As they prepared to leave the island when Luffy and his crew got to Arlong, Xpovac couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement for the adventures yet to come. With Articuno by his side and his Pokémon growing stronger every day, the future was looking brighter than ever.
