Four months had long passed since the seeds of dissent were first sown into the Selûnite's Church, ..and now, the time for subtlety was over.
As night fell upon them, Lilistar and Urdn'Varn gathered all of their followers in the courtyard.
Soon after Lilistar had began to make her announcement.
"My brothers and sisters, who have prayed under the moonlight sky...
For to long have we been lied to, for to long we followed the false light of Selûne.. but No more! Now is are time, now we strike back!
Follow me and together, we shall earn our freedom, together... We shall eradicate the false light of Selûne!"
Under a moonless night sky, the halls of the Selûnite church soon echoed with the clash of steel and the cries of battle as Urdn'Varn and Lilistar led The Children of the Eclipse;
**a loyal faction of convertees** against the church's inner sanctum.
Urdn'Varn and Draz'Zorn leading the charge, entered the Elders sacred chambers. As they started to chat, shadow and light began to dance across the halls, illuminating the ancient stone walls with a burst of violent magic.
The Elders fought with the desperation of those who know their end had come,
but their resistance was futile.
Urdn'Varn's eyes, cold and unyielding, cut through the ranks with practiced efficiency. Beside him, Draz'Zorn's stood tall, his bloody wings spread wide as he taunted all those who tried to flee past him.
Each sweep of his greatmace, he sent there enemies flying like chaff in the wind.
At the same time, Lilistar's magic ensnared the minds of their foes, turning them against one another in a nightmarish dance of betrayal.
As the final Elder fell, a silence descended descended upon the holy-grounds.
After the battle Urdn'Varn surveyed the fallen, his expression unreadable to all but Draz'Zorn.
Not long after Urdn'Varn and Lilistar shared a vision granted by both Vhaeraun and Shar
showing Urdn'Varn retuning to the church of Syllel, and gathering an army of Wulvenvir.
At the same time it show Lilistar and The Children Of The Eclipse as their Anointed One, leading them into the them as they build a church Dedicated to the Teachings of the Twilight faith, fallowed by the rebirth of Vhaeraun.
After the vision faded Urdn'Varn turned to Lilista, his voice calm but firm.
"Lilistar, it would seem that my job here is done.. This place is yours now to shape it as you, and your followers see fit."
Lilistar's eyes sparkled with a dark, yet triumphant glow. She nodded, already envisioning the transformations to come. "Thank you, Lord Urdn'Varn. Thanks to I know know the path I must walk, and now The children of the Eclipse have a place to call our own home; The House Of The Eclipse.
As the night drew to an end, Urdn'Varn and Draz'Zorn set out on their journey back to the Church of Syllel. The place Urdn'Varn now calls home.
The road ahead was long, winding through dense forests and across desolate plains as they traveled mostly night, hoping to move in silence.
At first, the only sounds that accompanied them was the soft rustle of leaves, and the distant calls of nocturnal creatures. Draz'Zorn, still unused to traveling in the darkness, walked beside Urdn'Varn, occasionally glancing at his master with a mixture of reverence and curiosity, his pale white scales gleaming in the moonlight.
The blood wings he had earned from Shar's blessing lay dormant, for now, awaiting their next sacrifice.
For a while, the quiet between them was thick and tangible, with unspoken words.
Finally, Draz'Zorn broke the silence, his voice soft, almost hesitant.
"Master... you've changed since we first met. There's... something different about you... You look more..'
Urdn'Varn glanced over his shoulder, his glowing blue eyes reflecting the moonlight. "I'm A Kobold My gender chanes over time, but that has never bothered me.."
Draz'Zorn nodded, his gaze fixed on Urdn'Varn's wings as they glistened lightly under the moonlight.
"I know.., that's not what I meant,
I mean you look worried, and you already carry so much wait on your shoulders."
He hesitated, then added, "..Just, know that you don't have to carry it alone... No matter your form, I will always give my loyalty to you."
Urdn'Varn's pace slowed, as he turned to face Draz'Zorn. "Loyalty is a heavy burden, Draz'Zorn. I chose this path, I bear it willingly... And I guess, now so do you."
The Dragonborn's eyes softened, his voice barely above a whisper as he brushed His scaly hand across Urdn'Varn's face.
"Lord Urdn'Varn, I follow you because you gave me purpose. You and your goddess showed me the truth, and gave me purpose, so I want you to know.."
He swallowed hard, his gaze searching Urdn'Varn's.
You saved me, Urdn'Varn. Not just from my past, and from the Selûnite's, but from myself. ..I think of you as way more than my master."
Urdn'Varn's expression remained mostly unreadable, but something long yerning glistened in his eyes as he reached for Draz'Zorn's hand. "Words like that carry meaning, Draz'Zorn. Meaning I can't just ignore... Especially on a moonless night like this."
"I know," Draz'Zorn said, his voice trembling. "But I truly do mean them..."
He took a step closer to Urdn'Varn, and dropped to his knees before continuing. "You've given me everything I could ever dream of.. and I would gladly give my all to you."
A rare silence stretched between them, deeper than the night around them. Urdn'Varn's voice, when it came, was softer than Draz'Zorn had ever heard before.
"In a world like ours, Draz'Zorn, loyalty is more precious than blood, so I want you to know..." He reached out, resting a clawed hand on Draz'Zorn's cheek.
"You are more than my follower Draz'Zorn.
You are my strength, and I don't know what I would do without you by my side."
Draz'Zorn's breath was caught, his heart pounding in his chest as his masters words washed over him. He bowed his head, the weight of Urdn'Varn's touch more powerful than any blessing Shar could ever bestow upon them.
"I swear to you, I will always be by your side... My Master."
The next day they continued their journey, the silence between them no longer heavy with doubt, it was full of something often unspoken, yet deeply understood.
Back at the conquered Selûnite church, Lilistar wasted no time, and began to reshape the the Church Of The Eclipse.
Beside her, *The Children of the Eclipse* worked tirelessly, tearing down the symbols of Selûne and replacing them with new, darker effigies dedicated to their new faith.
Statues of The Twin Drow-Gods, Vhaeraun and Eilistraee, began to take shape, crafted from obsidian, onix, marble, and opal began to rise in the great halls, their forms elegant and imposing.
The Nave, once filled with soft, celestial light, was now cloaked in both shadow and silver. Lilistar's voice carried through the halls, weaving spells of consecration, her magic binding the place to the will of the Ecliptic Faith. Her fellow followers of Twilight, knelt in prayer beside her, their whispered chants filling the air with an eerie harmony.
Together, they were no longer servants of Selûne; they were The Children Of Twilight: architects of a new age.
As they prayed, Lilistar watched them with a deep sense satisfaction blooming in her chest. The Church of the Eclipse was no longer a dream, it was a reality, born from blood and faith, shadow and light, for *The Age of the Eclipse had finally begun.*
