She drove back to the clubhouse, humming, her head following the song playing on the stereo.
She packed her car in the packing space and walked in, it's late already and the beautiful hour of the night.
Everywhere was bursting with energy, ladies swinging their waists, with men ogling. Immediately Mia came in, someone rushed to her side.
"Where have you been my ancestors?! People have been asking for you. Please, go get dressed, someone wants to meet you, a very important client, he will come to see you in your room." The man said.
"You know I don't see people anyhow? And who asked you to accept people on my behalf? And why should I meet the person in my room?! Tell me, Manager!"
"Mia, am sorry okay… that person is of important status, I can't afford to reject him." Manager Dan said as he tried calming Mia down.
"Who is the person?" Mia asked.
"Martial Dave!" He replied with terror.
Mia stood still immediately when she heard that name. Who doesn't know that man, king of the military cold-hearted? It was said that he doesn't spare his enemies, and he hates betrayal the most and will destroy anyone who betrays the country.
"But in her case, it's different. Dave! Dave! Dave! That name keeps ringing in her ears.
"What is he doing here? Like how can he come to this place? A clean man like him wouldn't want to step into this place, right?!" She thought.
"Mia! Mia!"
A pat on the shoulder woke her up from her daydream. She looked at the manager, her eyes turning indifferent again.
"I will be going up, and you can call him up to my room in 10 minutes, don't let any riff-raff come in unannounced." She ordered before walking away.
"No problem Mia, I will give out that warning!" The manager promised.
Mia walked to her door, entered with the key, and immediately entered and locked the door, she walked into the bathroom immediately.
Looking at the mirror in front of her, she splashed water on her face. Mia looked up to the window, her eyes red, with a pale face. She slapped her face like she wanted to make her face look indifferent but it's got more pale.
"Pathetic, Haha! Look at you Miami, Just hearing his name alone made you lose control, then what if you see him later? Would you burst out in tears, or jump on him?" She asked herself with a self-mockery.
"Pff! So pathetic!"
She heard the sound of knocking on the door, and she knew he was there, separated by a door. Immediately she took a towel to clean her face, then checked the mirror to see if she looked okay. She took a deep breath and then walked out of the bathroom, regaining her composure, she walked to the door, raising her arm to open it, but stopped again, and as if regaining her courage she unlocked the door and there stood a man who can take away anyone's breath.
"Oh, Mia, get a hold of your stupid self." She kept chanting in her head not to lose control.
"Come in!" She managed to come up with a word.
"Have a seat. So what do you care for? I have water, wine, and juice…" Mia rambled while walking to the Fridge.
"Just water please." The man's deep and seductive voice replied.
Mia's heart shook on hearing his voice. She would never get tired of listening to the sexy voice. She peeped at the man sitting on the couch in her room, her eyes twinkling.
The man sat on the couch, his gorgeous face indifferent, brown eyes so cold when he looked at you, like a raging beast. He sat down casually, putting on a normal shirt with a hoodie, down to the trousers, everything he wore was black. His aura makes the room feel like it's his territory, all in all, he looks so handsome.
Mia walked up to him with a glass of water, and on her other hand, was the red wine she poured for herself.
"I was told you wanted to see me Martial?" Mia said, already regaining her senses.
She sat in front of the man, waiting for him to speak. She wanted to know why the great Martial would come here.
"I came here to bring an order from the government," Dave answered her.
"What do you mean?" She asked in confusion.
"I mean the people up in position, the government." He answered her.
"I don't get you martial, what do I have to do with the government? Do you want to arrest me? Or do you want me to strip dance for the higher-ups?" She teased with a mischievous smile.
"No," Dave's lips twitched as he listened to her, then disgust filled his eyes as he looked at her.
"So what do the higher-ups need me for?" Mia asked, ignoring the disgust in the man's eyes.
"We need you to go undercover, as you work here, it's easier for you to take the task. There have been a lot of crimes going on in the country and if care is not taken we will be in trouble and the citizens will suffer." He explained roughly.
"And how is any of this my business? I am just a little girl working as a prostitute in a club." Mia said getting a little angry as she stood up and walked to the window.
"We need you to go undercover in this club, as this club is the main place most criminals do their meetings, but we haven't caught them red-handed as they are slippery, we need evidence to convict them, and I think only can do this," Dave replied.
He stood up too, getting a little angry as he looked at the girl's arrogant back.
She stood facing the large window, her back to him, dressed in a blazing red gown, her back showing indifference and elegance.
"Why?" She asked him.
"Because you are a citizen of this country, and we all have to help if it's needed," Dave replied.
Lips turned up sarcastically, and she scoffed. And what business do I have with the country? I don't give a darn about this country and the safety of the people! I am just a prostitute in a clubhouse, remember? Oops! I forgot! She tapped her forehead, Am just a dirty woman, her red lips parted in laughter.
"I have no time for jokes, woman! The country calls for you, and you have to do it." The man replied, more powerful.
Her eyes trembled facing the window but covered it with laughter.
"You know what, Martial? Why don't we talk about me working for you, and not for the country? Maybe I will consider working for a gorgeous man like you" She teased as she winked at him with her lip curled up provocatively.
"Stay put in your house, I will send a car to pick you up!" He replied after ignoring her advances.
"I never promised to go with you!"
"Your opinion doesn't matter here, goodbye!" Dave said and walked out.
She turned around after he left the room, her face filled with bitter emotion.
"Yes, My opinion doesn't matter here, I am just a dirty thing, while you are the highest mountain I can ever meet." She whispered as her eyes trembled in pain.
She heard some voices, her face turned back to being indifferent, her shoulder straight again as she walked straight out of the room to receive guests.
