Chapter Fifty-Four: Safety Measures
Dusken dreamt. Scenes flashed past his blurry vision as everything around him became black, imposing, yet spinning. At first, he was in a sea of peace and darkness.
There was nothing to see, nothing to hear, nothing to smell, and he couldn't even feel the burdensome weight of his human body. All he felt was a strange, distant feeling of floating in a vast expanse of nothingness.
However, all these didn't last long, the darkness spun, the world shook, and everything began collapsing like breaking glass.
Then he found himself on a vast field. The mild temperature pressing down on him. The sounds of laughter reached his ears, and the smell of roasted meat permeated the air.
Turning around, all he saw were vague figures, blurry to his sight and unknowing of his presence. They ran through him, laughing and playing without even noticing his existence.
