"I'm sorry, because of me, you became like this," Noel regretted. For getting his best friend involved in that gang.

The two of them were now in the infirmary, Yuri sitting quietly on the edge of the bed while observing Noel's face who seemed to be carefully compressing the bruises using a white towel and warm water. The young man closed his eyes as he felt comfortable from Noel's treatment.

"You don't need to apologize, that damn Terenti should apologize, if necessary he should kowtow ... ouch!" Yuri's words were cut off due to pain.

"Sorry, was I too harsh?" Noel stopped what he was doing for a moment to wipe his friend's face. And Yuri just shook his head.

"Noel," Yuri called when the young man had finished treating his wound.

"Hmmn?"

Yuri now stood closer to Noel. "I have something to say."

Noel looked at Yuri who now looked serious.

"I ..." Yuri's words trailed off as his heart pounded behind his ribs, disturbing his eardrums. The young man could clearly feel his heartbeat beating, as if it was racing against the hands of the wall clock in the infirmary. In this state of silence, as if he was the only one who noticed it, the young man took a deep breath. Noel was still waiting for what Yuri was going to say. Until suddenly ....

"Noel!"

The shrill voice of someone who appeared from behind the door of the infirmary by appearing head first like a ghost almost gave Yuri a heart attack.

"Petya, can you stop doing your habit of appearing suddenly like that? You almost gave me a heart attack." Yuri grumbled.

"If you have a heart attack, blame your heart, not me." Petya said, not accepting the blame.

Petya Bowdich was an X-A student who had met Noel a few months ago after the young man had saved him while being chased by a group of armed men. It was late at night, Noel was taking out the trash through the back door of the cafe and accidentally saw a student who was still wearing the same school uniform as him. Petya, who looked confused, approached Noel, begging for a place to hide. Noel, who was sorry to see Petya's pitiable face at the time, immediately hid the teenager right in the trash can until finally the horde of people who chased him left to look elsewhere.

Until now Noel didn't know why the swarm of people were chasing Petya, because every time Noel asked him, Petya would just shake his head while saying 'I don't know'.

"Noel, I have two coupons for free fried chicken wings, how about we eat together?" he invited while showing the two coupons he had just taken from his pants pocket, ignoring Yuri's presence between them.

"That's fine, after all it's free, right?"

"For you, of course it's free," he said, embracing Noel with enthusiasm.

Not accepting being ignored, Yuri tugged on Noel's wrist. "Are you leaving me to eat with him?" His gaze briefly shifted to Petya.

"How about you come along too?" Noel asked while releasing Petya's embrace on his shoulder.

"Noel, why did you invite him?" Petya protested, he shook Noel's arm.

Paying no heed to his junior's protestations of favoritism, Yuri said, "Good idea, I'm in. Let's eat!" The young man then pulled Noel's hand out of the infirmary to go to the fried chicken wing stall that Petya had mentioned earlier.

"Noel!" Petya called out to Noel who had been brought by Yuri.

Noel stared at the fries unappetizingly as the memory of Terenti saying that Walther was just using him as an outlet continued to replay in Noel's mind.

Petya, who was sitting at the same table right across from Noel, noticed the young man's mood. "Are the fries bad?" he asked, looking at the tray of fries that was still intact.

Noel was surprised when his reverie was interrupted by Petya's question, he replied, "Ah, no, the fries are good." Noel then devoured them.

Petya gave Noel an uncharacteristic look. "Does you have a problem? Just tell me! I'll help as long as I can."

Noel smiled, then ruffled the youth's dark brown hair. "No big deal. You can help me maybe next time." Noel's statement relieved Petya a little.

"Noel!" called Yuri beside the young man. Noel turned his head. "Don't think too much about that time!" he continued, stroking Noel's back gently, trying to make his best friend's feelings calmer.

"Hmmnn ... thank you, you're my best friend. I don't know how my life would be without you." Noel said, ending with a small laugh.

A best friend.

Yuri looked at Noel with a gentle gaze. It was like a child looking at a rabbit from a distance. In his heart, he really liked the rabbit and wanted to have it, but the child was afraid that it would run away when he got close.

"Every time I'm with you, I feel like we're like brothers," Noel said when he was seven years old and Yuri was eight, actually only a few months apart in age.

At first, Yuri thought it was because it was a brotherhood without blood ties, but he gradually realized that it wasn't just a brotherhood, there was another feeling that grew bigger and dominated his heart.

On Sundays, if Noel didn't have overtime at the cafe where he worked, he would usually laze around at home, even if it was just to lie down like a well-fed cat. However, not this time, Noel had something else to do with his free time. With a small brush, dipped in oil paint, Noel applied the brush to a plain white sheet of paper. Starting to draw something, the young man looked serious with the painting tool Yuri had given him a few weeks ago as a gift of friendship.

The sound of a ringing telephone broke his concentration. Feeling a little distracted, Noel finally checked his cell phone to see who was calling, it turned out to be Walther. The voice from the other side was heard after Noel answered the call.

"Are you busy?"

Noel looked at his half-finished painting, then replied, "Not really."

There was a crisp laugh on the other end of the line. "If you're not busy come out, I'm right in front of your house."

Noel hurriedly stepped onto the balcony to look down. After sweeping around, the young man did not find Walther and his motorcycle, but a Mercedes Benz parked in front of his house. Not long after, a young man with a cell phone in his hand came out. He looked up, waving to him.

A faint smile spread across Noel's lips, and without waiting for time, he immediately went down to Walther's figure.

"Noel, I've been waiting for you." Walther said hugging his lover tightly as soon as the young man arrived.

"Ugh Walther is claustrophobic, let go of me!"

Walther removed his arms from Noel's slender body and opened the car door. "Come on in!"

Noel frowned. "Where to?"

"Just get in already." Walther took Noel's hand and pushed him into the car, the young man entering through the next door after him.

"Where are we going?"

"To where I live." Walther started the engine. The car drove down the quiet street towards the place he was going to.

"This is your apartment?" asked Noel, sweeping the entire front room of the large apartment with an admiring glance.

The walls were all white with a large glass window facing west, a cozy spot to watch the sun burn and then set in the afternoon. On the other side of the room was a shelf filled with books.

"You live alone?"

Walther shook his head. "No, I can stay with you if you want." He looked back at Noel who was still following him. The handsome young man continued walking until he reached his room. And as soon as Noel's one foot stepped in the doorway of Walther's room, Noel immediately looked at the entire room without blinking. "It must be nice to live in such a luxurious room."

"Do you like it?" asked Walther, sitting himself on the king-size bed with white sheets. Noel didn't know what to say until Walther said, "Come here!"

Noel sat down next to Walther. "You are my lover, everything I have is yours." Walther spoke close to Noel's ear, causing a tingling sensation around the young man's neck.

Slowly, Walther's fingers pulled Noel's face to look at him closely, taking in the handsome and sweet face of his lover. It was a different kind of beauty that could be attributed to a woman.

Walther smiled, he moved closer, erasing the distance to give a small peck to the thin lips in front of him.

Noel's face heated up until his cheeks turned red. He closed his eyes as he felt Walther's lips move over his upper lip, sucking it sensually until he moaned softly.

"That asshole Walt, he couldn't get Nate so he turned to this little rabbit."

"I'll tell you one thing, you're just an outlet for him."

Terenti's few words rang in Noel's ears again, making his instincts kick in.
