Chapter 41 - The Fall of the Da Xia Dynasty

"May I speak? I am a servant of the Grand Dao Heavenly Palace of primeval immortal domain. I ask that you spare my life and show mercy," Gu said, his voice shaking as he gazed at a distant palace within the Da Zhou Imperial City. He could sense the presence of another individual from the higher realms, calmly sipping tea without bothering to conceal their aura.

Gu was terrified. He did not want to die. How many who reached the realm of the Human Emperor desired death? While Human Emperors in the Primeval Immortal Domain were not necessarily considered exceptionally powerful, within their own forces in the Grand Dao Heavenly Palace, they lived comfortably and securely.

"Grand Dao Heavenly Palace... Hahaha," Ling Jiao sneered, his disdain clear. "What kind of force dares call itself a 'heavenly palace' and asks the heir of an ancient forbidden clan for mercy?"

Even if the leader of the Grand Dao Heavenly Palace were present, they wouldn't dare ask such a thing. To Ling Jiao, they were mere ants. In fact, should the name of the ancient Qin clan in the Primeval Immortal Domain be mentioned, a whisper alone could extinguish this so-called Heavenly Palace.

Countless forces in the Primeval Immortal Domain sought to align with the ancient Qin clan. Yet, here was a small force like the Grand Dao Heavenly Palace daring to make demands in front of someone like Qin Tian. They were truly overestimating themselves.

"Gu, what should we do now?"

The two remaining Human Emperors of the Da Xia Dynasty were struck with panic, realizing their situation was dire. Clearly, Qin Tian, the one who came from the higher realms, had a background far more powerful than their own Da Xia Dynasty. It wasn't just one degree stronger—Qin Tian seemed to be on an entirely different level, and even the flood dragon by his side was likely beyond their reach.

Sweat poured from Gu's brow as he silently cursed Bai yu, who had been foolish enough to provoke Qin Tian. If Bai yu were alive, Gu would have killed him on the spot. This situation now threatened to drag his entire faction into the abyss. Should their Heavenly Palace's leader learn of this incident, they would undoubtedly wipe out their entire clan in a fit of rage.

"My lord, we were wrong. We'll leave immediately if you would kindly allow us to depart," Gu said, his tone humble, no trace of arrogance left. His head was bowed low in submission.

Qin Tian did not acknowledge them. He continued sipping his wine leisurely, as though he were not dealing with powerful Human Emperors, but with insignificant ants. Why would he bother with such creatures?

"Qin Tian, he's truly terrifying," Ji Kong said, his voice filled with shock. Ji Kong, though now a Human Emperor, had sensed the overwhelming power of the pureblood flood dragon at Qin Tian's side. Even as a Human Emperor, he could not ignore the dragon's might. But to see a being of such power tear apart Bai yu, someone much stronger than Ji Kong himself, left Ji Kong trembling. What kind of force must Qin Tian come from to command such a creature?

Chu Xinyue, too, wore a shocked expression, though she had some inkling of Qin Tian's power from the Primeval Immortal Domain. However, Ji Lingxian was completely stunned, unable to process the overwhelming reality in front of her.

"Pour the wine," Qin Tian said with a slight smile, his eyes fixed on Ji Lingxian, who still stood frozen in shock.

"Y-yes, yes..." Ji Lingxian stammered, hastily filling his cup, though her hands shook uncontrollably.

Today's events had shattered her previous understanding. She had always seen Human Emperors as invincible beings, yet one had been obliterated right before her eyes. What was even more unsettling was how effortlessly Qin Tian's mount had ended that person's life—without so much as a sound from the victim.

"I told you I would protect the Da Zhou Dynasty," Qin Tian said with a faint smile, glancing at Ji Lingxian, whose body trembled. Sometimes, winning over a woman was so easy. The real game was to toy with their hearts.

Ji Lingxian? She was nothing more than a tool to handle the heirs of fate.

Her attachment to him had likely grown so strong that he could proceed with the next phase of his plan.

As for the "heirs of fate"... Their significance was but that of pets to him, to be played with at will.

"My lord, perhaps our palace master knows someone from your esteemed faction," Gu could no longer bear the oppressive tension between life and death. Desperately, he resorted to invoking the name of his master, hoping it might save his life. His voice was almost pleading as he reminded Qin Tian of the connections his Heavenly Palace had. If only Qin Tian could consider the ramifications and avoid triggering a conflict between their factions.

Gu was not a fool—he was trying to leverage the name of his Heavenly Palace's powerful influence to survive. The Grand Dao Heavenly Palace was no small power. It was one of the few forces in the Primeval Immortal Domain, under the rule of a Heavenly Sovereign, and controlled vast territories. While they might not be as powerful as Qin Tian's faction, they could certainly cause trouble if angered.

Ling Jiao's eyes widened in contempt as he looked at Gu. "You truly think anyone in the forbidden ancient clans would care about a mere Heavenly Palace? They are too proud to even acknowledge you!"

The forbidden ancient clans were not just powerful; they were sacred, their bloodlines rich with strength and unparalleled dominance. Gu was delusional to think they could intimidate anyone with their ties.

"The Da Xia Dynasty will fall today," Qin Tian said, taking a slow sip of his wine, his expression calm, almost indifferent, as he looked at the two Human Emperors of the Da Xia Dynasty.

Ants, mere ants.

"Please, my lord, we did not recognize the gravity of the situation. Please spare us," one of the Da Xia Dynasty's half-step Human Emperors wailed, falling to his knees, his head banging against the ground in desperate apology. All the pride of a ruler, all his dignity, had been cast aside.

"Exterminate their family," Qin Tian murmured indifferently as he took another sip of his drink, speaking the words so casually, as if they were nothing more than a passing thought.

Exterminate their entire family. This meant wiping out an entire royal clan, annihilating everyone, leaving no survivors. Yet, to Qin Tian, such an act seemed trivial—simply a consequence of someone inadvertently provoking him.

A cold chill descended over everyone present. Qin Tian's words had the weight of absolute finality, and his indifference to life and death was beyond chilling.

"Understood," Ling Jiao responded, his eyes filled with a cruel gleam. Anyone who dared challenge his master would pay with their lives, and their entire clan would be erased from existence.

"Fight back!" Da Xia's Emperor, roared in a desperate attempt to resist. His fury surged as he lunged toward Qin Tian, hoping that the presence of this person might somehow turn the tide for the Da Xia Dynasty.

Ling Jiao's eyes narrowed in amusement. He looked at Summer Tianhuang, a mere Human Emperor at the first stage, charging toward Qin Tian. In Ling Jiao's eyes, this was nothing but a laughable joke. How could such a weakling even dream of challenging his master?

Did he not understand that Qin Tian was the heir of the forbidden ancient Qin clan? Even a Heavenly Sovereign could not touch him. The methods at Qin Tian's disposal were beyond anything a mere Human Emperor could withstand.

Sure enough, the moment Da Xia's Emperor made his move, the very fabric of space trembled as an overwhelming force crushed him, disintegrating his body in an instant.

"Ant," Qin Tian murmured coldly, his gaze filled with complete indifference as he watched the life of a once-proud Human Emperor snuffed out without so much as a thought.
