Outskirts of Metro City…
The GT-R tore across the desolate desert landscape.
The scenery was stark.
Dry, cracked earth stretched endlessly, interrupted only by the occasional gnarled tree or wandering coyote.
The sun blazed overhead.
Rhinoman drummed his thick fingers against the steering wheel, squinting at the horizon.
"So, uh… I'm not seeing anything…"
He muttered, tilting his head to get a better look at what appeared to be absolutely nothing.
"This whole area's just sand and lizards, boss. You sure this is the right place?"
From the passenger seat, Nadia jabbed a finger forward.
"Keep going straight. We're not there yet. You'll hit the canyon soon enough."
Rhinoman raised a skeptical brow.
"The canyon? What canyon? I don't see a canyon."
Scott leaned back and did his best to ignore the warm, smothering sensation of Gwen and Brigid clinging to him like starved leeches.
