"Hello," Chris said as he released Combusken and Froakie to greet Ralts once again.

" ( ̄^ ̄)ゞ" Combusken struck a pose, proudly welcoming his little sister.

"Froakie←_←" Froakie glanced at Ralts silently before shifting his focus to Combusken.

"Lalu|д˙)っ" Ralts shyly hid behind Chris.

"You all should get along well in the future." Feeling relieved now that Ralts was safe, Chris gently patted her head.

Once Ralts realized the two older Pokémon meant no harm, she cautiously peeked out from behind Chris to observe her new companions and the surroundings.

Turning back, Chris grabbed his handheld again. He had been so anxious earlier that he hadn't checked Ralts' stats yet.

He opened up Ralts' attributes.

**[Ralts (Psychic, Fairy) - Shiny]**

**Level: 5**

**Ability: Synchronize**

(When this Pokémon is burned, poisoned, or paralyzed, it inflicts the same status condition on the opponent.)

**Individual Values: HP (31), Attack (31), Special Attack (31), Defense (31), Special Defense (31), Speed (31)**

**Moves: Disarming Voice, Growl, Double Team, Confusion**

**Held Item: None**

"6V!?" Chris's eyes nearly popped out of his head.

Even as a shiny, being 6V was incredible! It was the best start he could imagine. Cheers for me! Cheers for me!

While shiny Pokémon already stand out compared to regular ones, having perfect stats like this is unheard of! It's like hitting the jackpot—there's no Ralts that could surpass this one.

"How much luck have I used up!?" Chris muttered nervously, beginning to wonder if it came at a cost to his future lifespan.

Honestly, aiming for a shiny Ralts had been more of a fantasy for Chris. He'd encountered thousands of ordinary Pokémon like Zigzagoon and Poochyena, but never once had he found a shiny.

Hoping to meet a shiny Ralts—something that can only be found a limited number of times each day—was like buying a lottery ticket.

But he had found one.

Ralts knew he wanted her, and she came. This was love! A mutual connection!

Chris inspected Ralts' stats carefully.

A 6V Ralts.

Since both her special attack and physical attack stats were perfect, Chris decided to plan her training based on her gender.

Female Ralts evolve into Gardevoir, while males can become Gallade.

In the game, the gender of a Pokémon is clearly displayed.

This Ralts was female!

Chris breathed another sigh of relief. It was indeed a little sister, not a little brother.

If it had been a little brother, while Gallade would have been a viable option for training, it would have felt awkward during Ralts' early stages—especially when it evolved into Kirlia, who appears to be wearing a short skirt.

After admiring the Ralts' stats panel for a while, Chris reluctantly closed it.

It's a shame no one in this world can play this game. Otherwise, he could take a screenshot and share it with friends, making everyone envious.

But capturing a shiny Ralts in real life is even better.

Having been home for the past few days, Chris would have a hard time explaining where he caught it.

Controlling the protagonist to leave Route 102, he could finally continue the main story.

But before that, he had to head to the Pokémon Mart and sell all the items he'd collected along the way.

In just six days, he had easily surpassed his target of 30,000 a day, even accumulating an extra 20,000. Chris' account now had a solid 200,000.

Tomorrow morning, he would head to the Pokeland and ask Ava to help devise a feeding plan for Ralts.

After enjoying a bowl of beef brisket rice, Chris directed his protagonist out of Petalburg City and toward Route 104.

As he was leaving Petalburg City, he encountered a chubby man in sunglasses and a floral vacation shirt.

The man seemed to be searching for a skilled trainer, but upon seeing Chris, he decided Chris was too young and left in a hurry.

This was a story mission—Chris remembered him as the boss of the Battle Frontier...

On Route 104, there was a beach with a wooden house at the edge of it, home to an elderly man named Hatch. There were also plenty of fishermen casting their lines, though Chris recalled that the only Pokémon available in this area was Magikarp.

Were they really hoping to fish up a 6V Magikarp?

Chris had his protagonist battle each fisherman one by one.

It was a bit tedious, facing off against them all. Chris couldn't help but complain to himself about these battles.

Weak, too weak.

No matter how many Pokémon they had, they were all just Magikarps. And if they caught Magikarps, they fought with Magikarps.

What moves can a level 7 Magikarp even use?

Splash? Or maybe Tackle?

The young boys on the beach were slightly better than the fishermen. Their Pokémon were Taillow and Seedot, but their levels were too low—only level 4 and 6.

Chris didn't have Combusken with him, but his team included Froakie and five Zigzagoons.

After three days of battles, Froakie had reached level 15. Chris planned to use the trainers along the way to level it up to 16 and evolve it into Frogadier.

A level 15 Froakie versus level 4 and 6 Pokémon?

Calling it a slaughter would be more accurate than calling it a battle.

Froakie, now at level 15, easily took out all the opposing Pokémon with one move.

However, one trainer on Route 104 did offer a pleasant surprise.

Miss Emily, though her strength was nothing special—she only had a level 7 Zigzagoon—rewarded Chris with a generous prize after her defeat.

Fourteen hundred Pokédollars.

Compared to the previous stingy trainers who gave only 68 or 100 Pokédollars, Emily was much more generous! She truly lived up to her title of "Miss Rich."

Other than that, Route 104 didn't hold any more surprises for Chris.

He did manage to find some useful items, including "Heart Scales," which could later be used to teach Pokémon forgotten moves through the Move Tutor.

There were also three other Pokémon in the grass: Marill, Wingull, and Taillow.

Chris didn't need to catch any of them, so he made his way straight across Route 104 and entered Petalburg Woods.
