700 power stones =1 bonus chapter

The battlefield was still quaking from the intense clash, with Amy's Pidgeotto lying unconscious in a crater, eyes swirling from the beating it had endured. The match was supposed to be hers, but Makuhita had turned the tide of the battle in a moment of unexpected strength.

"Pidgeotto is incapacitated, Makuhita wins!" declared the referee, and the crowd erupted into murmurs.

Some spectators debated heatedly.

"Getting too close to Makuhita was a mistake—should've kept the distance and gone long-range."

"You're kidding! Makuhita knows Vacuum Wave! Your Pokémon would be drained of energy before you even get a hit in."

"Then what's the strategy? You can't win in melee, and long-range attacks don't work. Is Makuhita unbeatable?"

"Maybe this is what makes a Shiny Makuhita special?"

Amy quietly recalled Pidgeotto, reflecting on her strategy. **Her tactics weren't wrong**, she reasoned. Makuhita was strong, but invincible? No, **Chris's Makuhita was just on a different level**—likely because of its rare Shiny form, renowned for their superior strength due to the hardships they face.

"It's not a big deal," she muttered, echoing Chris's famous phrase. **Makuhita was already injured** from Pidgeotto's Aerial Ace, and her next Pokémon would finish the job. **At least, that was the plan...**

A blinding white light enveloped Makuhita, drawing gasps from the audience. **Evolution.**

Makuhita's body grew rapidly, expanding into a hulking figure. When the light dissipated, standing before them was not Makuhita, but Hariyama, a powerhouse of a Pokémon. Its Shiny form flaunted black palms instead of red, but its imposing size was what truly silenced the crowd.

"Hali!" Hariyama roared, shaking the arena.

Chris grinned at his Pokémon's newfound strength. "An evolution, huh? No need to switch Pokémon."

Even though evolution didn't restore health, the power boost was undeniable. **Hariyama was now a force to be reckoned with**, even in its weakened state.

Chris anticipated Amy's next move. She was likely to send out her ace, **Croconaw**. But in his mind, **Croconaw was no match** for the evolved Hariyama, even in its injured state.

The crowd was in awe.

"Did you see that? It evolved!"

"It's over. Amy won't even make it to Chris's second Pokémon now."

"Is Chris really going to sweep the whole tournament with just Hariyama?"

On the field, Amy's heart raced. The sheer presence of Hariyama was overwhelming, but she steadied herself. **She could still win this.** Hariyama was badly hurt, and her next Pokémon might just be able to turn the tide.

Taking a deep breath, she sent out her second Poké Ball. It burst open, revealing her Croconaw, who landed on the field with a determined roar.

"Evil!" Croconaw growled, eyes full of resolve as it faced off against the towering Hariyama. The size difference was staggering, but Croconaw wasn't intimidated—it was ready for battle.

Amy's confidence surged as Croconaw unleashed its **Water Gun**, a powerful stream that shot through the air with near-Hydro Pump strength. The crowd watched, holding their breath, knowing that Croconaw was on the verge of mastering the ultimate water-type attack. The torrent barreled toward Hariyama, but Chris remained unfazed.

"**Vacuum Wave**," Chris commanded calmly.

Hariyama's massive hand gathered a surging ball of wind energy, pulsating with the power of a near-mastered Aura Sphere. The sheer magnitude of the attack mirrored Croconaw's progress, showcasing the potential that both Pokémon held.

As the Vacuum Wave and Water Gun collided mid-air, the Water Gun was instantly overpowered. Hariyama's attack pierced through like a white shockwave, slamming into Croconaw with a booming impact. The force of the hit sent Croconaw flying, crashing into the wall behind Amy.

Gasps filled the arena, and the referee was already preparing to call the match, but Croconaw—tenacious and full of spirit—rose to its feet, defying everyone's expectations.

"Useless struggle," Chris muttered. "Hariyama, **Encore**, Vacuum Wave!"

Without hesitation, Hariyama conjured another Vacuum Wave, and this time, the brilliant white light swallowed Croconaw whole, sending it back to the wall where it collapsed, eyes swirling in defeat.

The referee raised his hand, declaring the inevitable result: "Croconaw has lost its ability to fight. Hariyama wins! Trainer Amy has no remaining Pokémon, and the final winner is Chris!"

The match had ended decisively, with Chris advancing to the semifinals.

The crowd buzzed with discussion.

"The difference in power is massive. Maybe Croconaw could have stood a chance if it evolved into Feraligatr."

"Chris is dominating this tournament. Do you think anyone can stop him?"

"Isn't he the one Professor Theodore personally recruited as a researcher?"

Every battle left the audience in awe of Chris's strength, and the fact that he hadn't even revealed his second Pokémon only heightened the mystery surrounding him.

As Amy retrieved her defeated Croconaw, frustration etched her features. She shot a dark look at Chris before storming out of the arena. Chris, seeing her expression, felt a twinge of guilt. Had he gone too far? Did he accidentally push Amy too hard?

His thoughts were interrupted by a ping from his phone.

Amy: "You owe me a treat tonight!"

Chris smiled awkwardly at the message, scratching his head. It seemed that even after a brutal battle, Amy wasn't going to let him off the hook so easily.
