Chapter 1 - The Awakening at the End of Times

Rimuru was lost in an infinite void, an endless darkness stretching beyond what his mind could conceive. After being struck by Feldway's Chrono-Saltation, he was hurled to the far reaches of Space and Time, a place where the notions of past, present, and future merged into a single eternal instant.

Within this abyss, the only constant was the vigilant presence of Ciel, his faithful partner. Even amidst the darkness, Ciel's consciousness never wavered, always watching over Rimuru, patiently awaiting the moment when he would finally awaken.

<> Ciel's voice echoed in Rimuru's dormant mind, filled with contained joy. She had missed her master and was eager for new instructions after their defeat against Feldway.

Slowly, Rimuru began to regain consciousness. The feeling was like emerging from a deep dream, a mix of confusion and clarity. He wasn't sure how much time had passed since the fateful battle, but he sensed that something had changed.

"Ciel... where are we?" Rimuru asked mentally.

<> Ciel replied promptly, her voice calm and reassuring.

"How much time has passed?" Rimuru asked, trying to grasp the magnitude of his absence.

<

The revelation left Rimuru stunned. Millennia had gone by, and yet he didn't feel the weight of time upon himself, only the sensation of emptiness and Ciel's constant presence.

"We need to find a way back," Rimuru declared, his determination growing stronger. "I can't leave my friends and allies at Feldway's mercy."

Ciel seemed to chuckle briefly, as if pleased that her master hadn't changed after so long. <>

Rimuru was surprised and smiled. "As expected from Ciel-sensei. What would I do without you, partner?"

Ciel's laughter resurfaced at the recognition. <>

Not wanting to waste any more time, Rimuru allowed the space-time jump to be made, ready for his rematch against the primordial angel. His form glowed intensely as Ciel began channeling the energy needed for the ability.

Ciel then activated the ability, invoking a complex web of magic that shimmered with multicolored lights.

However, something went wrong. A mysterious energy around the end of Space and Time interfered, the streams of energy began to spiral out of control, intertwining in unexpected ways.

The flow of magic became chaotic, swirling in wild spirals that seemed to tear at the very fabric of reality.

<> Ciel warned, her voice now tinged with concern.

Suddenly, Rimuru was engulfed by an overwhelming sensation of vertigo. He felt as if he were being pulled in all directions at once. The mysterious energy interfered and ended up resetting the time of all worlds. All timelines were subjected to a Reset, and in this accidental disaster, Rimuru was sent back to his own timeline.

But, unlike his intention, he returned a few days after the first banquet of the Demon Lords.

Confused, Rimuru looked around, recognizing the place and time. He was back in his world, but everything seemed slightly different, like a distorted déjà vu. "Ciel, what happened?" he thought, believing it to be her doing.

Unsure of how to respond, Ciel remained silent. Uncertainty was rare for her, but the interference from the mysterious energy was beyond any prediction. The ability that should have been precise and controlled resulted in an unexpected temporal reset.

Rimuru seemed angry and said, "This is no time to be silent. Sending me back to this point in time is not the same as fleeing and admitting defeat to Feldway! I refuse, take me back to my rematch."

Ciel, with some regret, replied, <>

Rimuru frowned but listened carefully as Ciel explained what had happened.

<> Ciel explained, trying to be as clear as possible.

Rimuru absorbed the explanation and then said, "Are you telling me that this world is the same as that one, but it underwent a time regression? So, all those events, the great war, they happened and yet didn't happen?"

<> Ciel replied, her voice filled with regret.

Rimuru let out a deep sigh, but then said, "Don't worry about it, Ciel-san. It probably wasn't so bad that things took this turn."

Ciel agreed, <>

Rimuru smiled, appreciating the potential of this new chance. He decided not to dwell on it for now. Instead, he sat down and enjoyed the view, feeling finally at home.

At that moment, his subordinates, who were also his close friends, began to appear one by one.

"Rimuru-sama, I prepared some food for you," Shion said happily, holding a tray full of dishes.

"So, this is where you were, Rimuru-sama," Benimaru commented with a smile, his eyes gleaming with determination.

"There's much work to be done, Rimuru-sama, please come with me," said the sweet Shuna, who was smiling, though her eyes told a different story...

"I brought you some tea, Rimuru-sama." His faithful butler, Diablo, served him cheerfully.

Gradually, more and more friends gathered around him, each offering something of themselves.

Rimuru looked at them all and, with a smile that melted everyone, said:

"Everyone, I'm back."
