In the grand living room, Vivian sat on the plush couch, dabbing her eyes with a silk handkerchief.
Across from her, George Grayson sat upright, his demeanor calm yet commanding, while Catherine, his elegant wife, reclined beside him with a composed expression.
"...I just don't know what else to do," Vivian continued, her voice trembling as she clutched the handkerchief.
"Ethan is still with that girl, Charlotte, despite everything I've told him. I thought by now he'd see reason, but it's like she has some kind of hold over him!"
George leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees.
"Vivian, I've told you before, patience is key. Ethan will come back to you in a month, but you need to stay calm."
Vivian's watery eyes darted to him, her brows knitting together.
"But, Mr. Grayson, you said the last time that he would leave her within a week. Now you're saying it will take a month?"
