Back in London at Wallace Enterprises, Anderson paced his lavish office, the walls lined with expensive artwork doing little to calm his nerves.

His phone was glued to his ear, his usually confident voice now laced with a note of desperation.

"Listen, Mr. Carter," he said, forcing calmness into his tone.

"I understand your concerns, but pulling out now would be detrimental...not just to us, but to your company's reputation. We've invested significant resources into this partnership."

"I've already made my decision, Mr Wallace. It's a risk I'm not willing to take anymore." The voice on the other end replied firmly.

Anderson stopped mid-step, his forehead lined with frustration.

"At least let's arrange a meeting to discuss this further." He pleaded. "We can—"

"No need Mr Wallace," the man cuts in. "My legal team will be in touch."

Then the line went dead.
