The set was dimly lit, the room designed to look like a lavish royal chamber. Rich fabrics draped over the canopy bed, and the heavy scent of incense lingered in the air, meant to evoke a sense of luxury.
I stood in the middle of it all, nerves fluttering in my chest as I waited for the assistant to finish arranging the blocking for the next scene.
This was it—my last scene of the day.
And it wasn't just any scene.
My character, the rebellious princess, had to face her bodyguard, Maeve, who was livid after my character's latest act of defiance. The princess had snuck out of the palace to meet a friend at a seedy bar, only to get herself kidnapped and rescued in a dramatic sequence earlier.
Now, the bodyguard was supposed to confront her in a heated argument that would end with… a kiss.
I took a deep breath, trying to settle my racing thoughts. Kissing Maeve on camera was going to be… something.
