Warning: Death, blood, SA
Entering the school gate, Tsukishima looked up at the school building of his new school. He transferred mid-year since his mum has applied to a new job. A bit disappointed because it's not as big as he expected, he sighed and continued walking.
In the school hall, he groaned when he saw how loud, noisy, and misbehaving most of the students were. He dodged papers thrown everywhere before arriving at his locker. As he was entering the code, a boy with his uniform unbuttoned that shows his chest and abs leaned against the locker next to Tsukishima's.
"Haven't seen you around here. New kid?"
"I'm not interested in making friends." Tsukishima said, no emotions in his face or voice.
"Well, that's one first impression. I'm just wondering if you would like to join the volleyball clu-"
"Not interested." Tsukki cut him off, opening his locker and putting his stuff.
"Not interested? Dude, you got the height and the looks. We're one of the best volleyball teams in Japan."
"I have no interest in basketball. So shut up and leave me alone." Tsukki said in an annoyed tone, closing his locker and giving the guy a look.
"What an attitude. Oh well, just in case you change your mind, name's Tanaka and find me at the school Gym after school time. C'ya!" He left, waving at Tsukki before joining his friends.
Tsukki clicked his tongue, already not in the mood on his first day. Walking into his class, he looked around and chose the seat at the back of the class. He could tell no one is sitting there since it's the cleanest out of the rest. Putting his headphones on, he began to doze off in his own world.
He then opened his eyes to the sound of the chair dragged followed by the movement of his desk. He looked to the side and spotted a green haired boy with freckles. They made eye contact and Tsukki could sense his nervousness.
"S-sorry, I didn't mean to disturb you." The boy stuttered, "T-this is my seat."
Tsukki continued to look at him for a few seconds. "Is anyone sitting here?" He asked.
"U-um… yeah. But he kept skipping school."
"So, no one's sitting here?"
The boy shook his head, "N-no."
Tsukki let out a short hum before going to his own world again. The boy put his bag down and sat on the seat next to him. He's a weird one, He thought to himself before the teacher arrived in class.
The teacher only announced that there's a new student before starting the lecture, not bothering to ask him to introduce himself. Seeing that the topic the teacher was teaching in Math was already taught to him at his old school, he took out his phone and used it secretly from the teacher.
The boy next to him noticed it. They made eye contact and Tsukki gave him a look which took him a second to understand. The boy looked away and focused on the lecture.
While scrolling through social media, he heard someone clearing their throat. He looked up and saw the teacher looking at him with his arms crossed.
"What do you have there, young man?" The teacher asked with a stern tone while he tapped his foot.
"Nothing, sir." Tsukki said as he slid his phone in the drawer and slid out his notebook.
"Hm. Yamaguchi, what's he holding?" He called out and asked the boy next to Tsukki.
Yamaguchi, the boy next to Tsukki, was a bit startled that he was being called before looking over at Tsukki. He turned back to the teacher and spoke, "H-he's holding his notebook, sir."
"I see. Well, you still gotta pay attention to class. I'll let you off with a warning since it's your first day." He turned away and went back to his teacher.
Tsukki looked over at Yamaguchi before focusing back on the board.
Ring, Ring!
It's lunch time and Tsukki went out to the Cafeteria. Arriving there, he saw that the Cafeteria was crowded. Sighing, he decided to head to the nearby convenience store outside the school gate.
As he was about to leave the school gate, he was stopped by the guard.
"School ID?" The guard reached his hand out.
"What for?"
"You can't leave the school gate without handing in your school ID." The school guard pulled his hand back and pointed back at the school building for him to go back.
Annoyed and disappointed, he decided to go back. As he was about to turn, he heard a familiar voice.
"He's a new student and a friend of mine. Mind if we could go to the convenience store together?"
Tsukki turned and saw Tanaka handing his school ID to the guard. Tanaka turned to him and smiled. "Good to see you again, four-eyes!"
"Don't call me that."
"Hahaha! Come on. Lunch break is gonna end soon." Tanaka grabbed Tsukki's sleeve and dragged him with him.
They arrived at the convenience store and there were some students there. It wasn't a big store but it had a lot.
"Pick whatever you want. My treat since it's your first day." Tanaka put his arm around his shoulder and pointed at the shelves of food.
"No thanks." Tsukki pulled his arm off him. "I can pay for myself and don't act as if we're friends."
"Aw come on. At Least give me your name."
"No." Tsukki said with a slight stern tone.
Tanaka sighing in defeat, there are two guys walking up to him from behind and tapping his shoulder. One has black hair and the other has gray.
"Yo, Tanaka. Seems you're here too. Hm, who's this? Your new friend?" The boy with gray hair asked as he pointed at Tsukki.
Before Tanaka was about to speak, Tsukki spoke before him. "We're not friends."
"Awww, don't be like that." Tanaka frowned. His friend with black hair gave him a pat on his back.
"I remembered that's how Kageyama was towards you."
As they were talking, Tsukki turned and walked away to find some food to buy. As he was looking at the shelf of Onigiris and Sandwiches, he looked to his side and spotted a girl staring at her.
She was with her group of friends and she wasn't paying attention to them. Her eyes were glued to him which made Tsukki feel a bit uneasy.
Picking out 2 onigiris, he walked past the girl to pay for his purchase. Her eyes never left him. As soon as he paid for his lunch, he immediately left the store. He glanced at the store entrance, expecting her to stalk him, but in relief she wasn't.
Returning to class, he leaned against the window next to his seat. While taking a bite of his onigiri while looking at the students leaving and entering the school gate, he saw the same girl from the convenience store.
He hid behind the wall, not wanting her to know where his class was. Minutes later, a group of girls entered the class. When he looked over at them, he spotted the same girl. He didn't realize that she was his classmate since he doesn't pay attention to anyone.
He groaned in annoyance and frustration. As the girl laid her eyes on him, he gave him a glare and she looked away. Rolling his eyes, he sat on his seat and took his phone out. Playing some games while waiting for the next class to start.
Class ended and he was walking out of the building. Walking past the school gym, he could hear some noises. Looking through the gym entrance, he spotted an orange hair kid playing alone.
As he was about to walk away, someone yelled, "Oi, yellow-haired guy!"
Yellow-haired guy? Is that how you address strangers? Tsukki thought to himself with annoyance. "What?"
"Mind tossing for me?" The kid asked while pointing at the net.
"Not interested."
"Whaatttt? Come on. It's just a few tosses." The kid frowned.
"Play on your own kid. Why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be in elementary school?"
"Hey! I'm a first-year!"
"First-year, huh? Hm, I guess you're just a shortie." Tsukki said with a mocking smirk.
"Hey!"
As Tsukki was mocking him, he felt a pat on his shoulder. He looked and saw Tanaka and his two friends from the convenience store.
"I see you've changed your mind huh?"
"I wasn't. I was just passing by."
"Aw, don't be like that. I know you've played volleyball at your old school."
"Huh? How'd you know that?" Tsukki said in a slightly annoyed tone.
"Don't worry about that. Come on. Let's have some fun." Tanaka dragged him into the gym. There, he saw Yamaguchi sitting on the bench. Tsukki was a bit surprised that a kid like him to play volleyball.
No matter how many times he refused, Tanaka and the orange-haired kid managed to get under his skin, mocking him that he can't play until Tsukki fell for it.
They played and Tsukki felt a slight feeling for volleyball came back to him. They played, and played, and played until it was dark.
After hours of playing, they were sweating and packing their stuff to go home.
"Looks like someone was enjoying the game." The orange-haired kid, Hinata, teased him.
"I wasn't. I was just proving to you all I'm better than you." Tsukki claimed. The other chuckled and Tanaka gave him a slap on the back.
"No need to lie, pal. If you wanna join, come to our captain, Daichi." He pointed at the guy with black hair.
"No thanks." Tsukki said as he headed towards the exit.
"Just think about it. You have a lot of time."
Tsukki turned to look at them and they all waved to him with smiles. He didn't wave or smile back before leaving the gym.
On his way home, it was dark and the only light source were the street lamps 10 meters away from each other. His house isn't that far so he just walks home. Thinking about the game earlier, he admits he does enjoy the game. But wasn't too sure about joining.
Lost in thoughts, he didn't notice someone following him from behind. He was then startled when someone grabbed his arm and pulled him into the alleyway. Pinned into the wall, he dropped his bag and his headphones fell.
He opened his eyes but the shadow covered her face. He could tell it's a girl because she was wearing a female's uniform. And it was the uniform of the same school he goes to.
"Finally," Said the stalker, "I get to talk to you." Followed by a high pitch giggle.
"W-who are you?" Tsukki attempts to push her away but she was stronger than him for a girl. She grips on his collar and leaned closer. The light shone on her face and Tsukki's eyes widened in shock.
It was the same girl that kept staring at her earlier. She was close, too close. Tsukki felt scared.
"Don't be scared. I won't hurt you. I promise I won't." Looking at her eyes, it's a lie. She'll hurt him. "I've never felt anything like this. The feeling of l-love. I fell for you, Tsukki. When I first laid my eyes on you. I know you're the one for me. I love you, Tsukki! Love me too!"
"Get away from me, you obsessed b*tch!" Tsukki pushed her back, causing her to fall on her butt. As he picked his bag and headphones, the girl grabbed his ankle and he fell. The girl flipped him over until he's on his back.
She towered him, grabbing him by the collar. "Don't be like that. We're meant to be. I love you so much. I love you. I love you!"
She then pulled him and kissed him. Tsukki's eyes widened in horror. He couldn't move from fear. And he knew what would happen next. When the girl's grip losen, Tsukki managed to move and push her off him.
He grabbed his stuff and quickly stood up. He stared at the girl on the ground. She started laughing and slowly got up. "Oh, Tsukki. I don't like being rejected. Just give me a chance. You'll see that I'm a good perso- Aacckkkk!" She then fell on her knees again, holding her stomach and coughing up blood.
Oh, gosh. It happened again. Tsukki took a step back, shaking in horror as he stared at her.
"W-what is happening to m-me?!" She looked up and blood started coming out her eyes, nose, and ears. She couldn't scream in pain as blood started to pour down from her mouth.
Tsukki took a few steps back before running away. His mind was spinning. Memories flashing back. It happened again. He thought it would never happen again. But it did.
Arriving home, he ran to his room and locked the door behind him. He leaned his back on the door before sliding down. I covered his face, his body shaking. His mother and brother are asleep.
His mind kept spinning until he got tired and fell asleep there.
