In a cloud of smoke, Pride appeared in front of Envy. He was about to demand why he had been summoned, but then he saw Greed.
"What the hell happened here?" Pride growled, dropping to his knees to add his energy to his brother's. Sending out a message for the remaining Sins, Pride concentrated on healing Greed.
"Humans tried to kill Little Bit," gasped Greed. The energy pouring into him was making it easier to breathe, but that was about it. His skin still felt too tight as he tried to move, and the crippling pain that resulted from the movement forced him to stop. "I used the souls to send her away. If they cannot protect her…"
"Then they are of no use to us," agreed Sloth as he appeared in the throne room. Adding his energy to the others, he let out a low growl. "Their entire reason for living was to protect Cher, and if they can't do that…"
